Newport Workshops Open Days 2024 - Information

Over the March long weekend in Melbourne, Victoria the biennial Newport railway workshops open day is on again and here’s everything you need to know about this unmissable event!
In 2024 the historic 135-year-old Newport Railway Workshops will be a hive of activity with everything railways both big and small. This year will see over 50 steam and diesel locomotives over two sites being Newport Workshops and the Newport Railway museum, with rollingstock and displays from Steamrail, 707 Operations, Victorian Goldfields Railway, Mornington, Walhalla, Yarra Valley, Daylesford and Puffing Billy with working demonstrations running throughout the weekend.

I was gonna actually come this year but due to ARTC completing inland rail on the Albury line on the weekend this happens I'll won't be able to come! Stupid Victorian government!>:( they know that the Albury line is needed for the weekend this falls on!>:(
