Really interesting info about the Brutus debate, just looking at auctions it can be hard to pick up intricacies of attribution like these. Thanks for the great info!

Gallienus for $8000 probably tops because it looks tooled.

Wow great information section on this episode. I always wondered why the Mithradates VI gold staters imitating Lysimachos were so crude compared to the staters with his own portrait are in excellent condition... it makes sense now!

As a pleased customer of 20 something years, I am going to leave a google review to offset the jerk's false review.

Thanks for another enjoyable & informative podcast 🤩. I highly recommend an important article posted by Jean Hourmouziadis, "Koson Staters and Silver Drachmae - A Die Study" that is available on the internet for free. In regards to CNG Feature Auction 127, I'm surprised you didn't mention lot 841 when talking about runaway prices. It was an Indian rupee with an estimate of $1,500 that sold for $61,250, including the buyers fee 😲; lot 840 was almost as crazy.

Those are unique pieces. They did not fetch the prices they deserved.

@@richardl.currier4052 There are many unique coins that wouldn't fetch a fraction of what those to coins sold for.
