I highly recommend an important article posted by Jean Hourmouziadis, "Koson Staters and Silver Drachmae - A Die Study" that is available on the internet for free. In regards to CNG Feature Auction 127, I'm surprised you didn't mention lot 841 when talking about runaway prices. It was an Indian rupee with an estimate of $1,500 that sold for $61,250, including the buyers fee 😲; lot 840 was almost as crazy.

Those are unique pieces. They did not fetch the prices they deserved.
