Also a respirator mask and a well ventilated area, to anyone watching. the fumes are toxic!
Tyy!
I know this may be a crazy question but can't you just wear a couple of face masks instead?
@@kellytaylor7041 now that i’m not sure of. i guess in theory it’s better than wearing nothing?
@@kellytaylor7041fumes build up. Less effective. Want ventilation to remove the fumes
I want to make a note, once you use a mold for resin you can never use it for food again, just in case people thought they could.
i miss doing resin. i used to do it years ago but i just haven’t been crafty at all recently. ever since this quarantine, i want to come back
αrl ɢrмeѕ it’s so much fun, I highly recommend it 🥰
A reminder to PLEASE be careful with resin and epoxy! The stuff can be mad toxic and can cause health issues if you're not careful! Keep a window open and maybe even wear a mask if you plan to use it often. 💗
Please be sure to also wear a mask. The fumes that come from resin can be very toxic and harmful.
Amelia Myers ph yes this is good advice! I forgot to add that to my list 😅🙈 thank you 💖💖
it seems easy enough.... i really want to start resin stuff to make my own cute my melody keychains and charms 🥺 thank you so much for the video !

I'm sorta afraid to try making resin charms, because I think it'll take forever and not come out good... xD But I actually really want to try. This video was very helpful! Thank you for posting!
じぇす aww I’m glad it was helpful 😁💖 I definitely recommend it it’s so much fun and really rewarding! 😋💕 admittedly it is a lot of work in the beginning finding the perfect amounts and curing times, which is why I have time recommendations for each step so it’ll turn out right 😊💜 all in all for one batch of charms it’ll probably take me like a day and a half to two days at most! 🥰
These are so cute ❤

Kawaii Art Cafe thank you very much 😊.
Super cute
Great job Bestie🤗 I’m tellin yah, you should do classes. I learned way more in your one vid. Than I ever do watching other people try to explain stuff. Even some supposed pros. Skipped over things you said that were vital
Thank you for the tutorial! Can I ask where you purchase your eye pins from? I recently bought some but they feel so flimsy... so way they will hold the weight of the charm.
You're the cutest ♡
Thanks Catherine
Niambi Nelson You’re welcome 😋💗
I also wanna start doing resin keychains but i wanna start with the letter keychains first
Chanty Ledesma you can definitely start with those! I think there are some silicone molds for that on amazon 🤔 that’s a great idea! Good luck 💖💖
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 yes i have an alphabet mold on my amazon cart along with some glitters and i also have the resin you used in your heart keychain resin video on my amazon cart. Just got the notif and *yes*
Ivory Sanchez thanks for watching 😋💓💓💓
I have used acrylic paint and it has cured. I use a little and it goes a long way.
Yes that’s true! Thanks for sharing ☺️🌸
So cute
Can we reuse the measuring cup or any other cup that we used for the resin. I mean can we clean it with water or should we use the disposable one?
Heyy how do u attache the bow to the keychain ? Ur stuff is super cute 🥰
Reign Hills thank you 😄✨ I basically insert an eye pin into it and then curl the straight send to make a loop ☺️💕 I hope it helps! 💖
Would u link me the bows I cannot find any 🥺🎀
Reign Hills here, you go 😋✨ I get them from amazon: Mosheng Accessory 30pcs Beautiful Bows Acrylic Charm Necklace Bracelet Chain Jewelry Making Colorful Beads DIY Craft Supply (Bow) www.amazon.com/dp/B07BJ415TG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_jZBREbN1D2A0V

Aww sorry 🥺 no problem, I’m glad to help! 💖
Can you show us how to make the chain part of the keychain???
This is a super helpful tutorial and I love your style a lot! :o this might be a silly question, but where did you get the rotating stand that you display your charms on that we see at the end of the video? It suits the charms so well and I'd love to buy a stand similar! :D
Bobbin Belshaw thank you so much I’m so glad it was helpful ☺️💕 and I got mine from amazon I think it was like $12 so it’s pretty affordable 💖💖 thanks for watching my video! 😊💓
Thank you for the video ! Which size do you prefer for the gold swivel clasps 😇 ? Also where do you like to buy your materials from ?
Sid Taylor you’re welcome, thanks for watching 😊💕 and it looks like people prefer bigger ones so they can clip them on their bags 😁 as for my materials I get them from all sorts of places such as amazon, Walmart, and local craft stores 😋💕
Oh and you can find some really cute molds from Daiso too! 😋🌸
Omg can i still buy some of those?!?
Hi! I’m a beginner in using resin and this is seriously one of the most helpful video tutorials ever thank you!💕✨Question: is it okay to still use the acrylic paint without the Alumilite white pigmentation? And can you use eye shadow as a substitute for the acrylic? 🥺
Alma Ignacio Jose hi thank you so much, I’m so glad it’s helpful ☺️💜💜 and I personally recommend using the pigment because if you use just acrylic paint you run the risk of not getting the color you want, or the charm no curing (hardening completely) and staying sticky and soft 🙈🙈 also I’ve never tried that actually! Some people use resin pigment powders instead of paint 💖
Kawaii Art Cafe OMG HI!!😁Thank you so much I’ll keep it in mind thank you again😭💗✨
Aww this is adorable hopefully I can resin in the future I love to buy charms though there so fun and kawaii to collect! Also can you send me the link to where you got the stickers please?
Zaina Muin thank you so much 😊💕 I agree they are so fun to make and collect 💖💖💖
As for the stickers I’m not sure if the are available from the seller I bought from, but you can find similar ones on Etsy 😄❤️❤️❤️
where do you buy all of your cute stickers?
:0000 now I want to do pokemon keychains :)
Very cute tutorial, I love your creations! I wonder why you do your resin parts in 2 seperate cups though? I always do mine into one cup (silicone reuseable cup) and it's easy to do the maths and I don't have to worry about scraping every last drop of the parts into each other. Is there a benefit to doing it your way? Not having a go at you, genuinely curious! Also how do you not melt your molds by using a flame torch?! Ive killed too many molds cos they've melted to the resin as it sets :( I've switched to a heat gun now
Thank you so much 😊💕 and the main reason is just to make sure I have exact equal amounts of the resin and hardener. I used to put them both in one cup and wonder why they weren’t curing 🤣🤣 but a silicone cup would be better and more eco friendly since it’s reusable! ❤️
As for the melting it just goes practice, I go over the major bubbles very briefly, never leaving the torch over the mold for over 2 seconds. Then I use a toothpick to get rid of any minor ones 😋💕 if you have a lot of bubbles I recommend mixing very slowly before pouring into the mold ☺️ I hope that helps ❤️❤️
So I have started making and investing into resin charms recently. I was wondering how do you determine the prices of your pieces? What factors go into it?
I mostly researched what the average prices other people were selling them for and then made mine a little higher since I do make my charms thicker and with more materials 😊💕 if you check out my Etsy shop you’ll see my prices and sales! 💖 hope it helps
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 Do you do any math to make sure that the prices you are selling them at are enough to cover expenses? I have been thinking about opening a shop. :D Thanks for responding.
Minecraft Bee I do, however it’s a little complicated and I feel that each artist should have a choice on how much they want to profit, and where they get their supplies from so I don’t think it’s a one size fits all formula 🙈 however if enough people ask I might post a thorough explanation. If you check out my artist alley vlogs you will see I actually sell them at different prices at conventions vs online due to shipping and tax costs if that helps ☺️💕
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 Thank you for your advice. Ik this isn't super easy to answer! I will continue watching your videos. 😊
Minecraft Bee thank you for your support ❤️❤️❤️
So pretty! I have uv resin I want to play with. Export scared be because of fumes and what have you.
Kirsten K. Thank you 😋💕 yes the chemicals can be dangerous so I recommend wearing a mask and gloves to reduce exposure ☺️ stay safe!
We're can I get your molds
How did u put the bow and the bead in the keychain. Is there a whole goinh all the way through the bow
Yes you’re right! There’s a hole in the bow I put an eye pin through, and I attach the bead on the eye pin 😊💖
How many inches is the heart silicon?
Muy bonitos
Hey there! Im interested in starting my own resin earring and charm shop! Do you have to wear a face-covering whilst working with epoxy resin?
Hello 👋 and yes please wear a face mask while working with resin! The fumes are very toxic and I suggest doing this in a room that is well ventilated. I should have added face masks to my material list 🙈 Please read the safety instructions on your resin package as well! 😁💖
Thanks!
gdrummond you’re welcome ❤️
Can we use epoxy resin pigments for uv resin project?
Yes you can! I don’t use any pigments in the video simply because it’s a bit expensive when paint can get the same result 🤣🤣 but pigment powders work well for both UV and regular resin 💜
Can I use a white water color for the white part
Aishah Rashid yes you can! Although it may not cure all the way if you add too much paint 😅 that’s why I recommend the pigment instead. Plus it goes a long way, I only use a single drop for a batch of 9 heart charms! 💜💜💜
Can you also do a tutorial on milk shaker?
Hay dear.....I enjoy watching your vedios and I would love to know how i could order all those stuff so I could learn how to make all those things and try selling them to make some cash for my health problems.....it would means alot to me.
Cornelia Bassaragh hello 👋 I actually have a kofi page guide you can buy where you will have links to all the materials as well as printable instructions! 💖💖💖 I hope it helps ko-fi.com/kawaiiartcafe
Is there a way to attach eye pins Into the charms?
Well I’ve seen some people heat up an en eye pin with a lighter and then stick it into the charm 🤔 but I’ve tried it myself and it’s very difficult and a little dangerous if you ask me 🙈 I don’t recommend it, but that’s another option! ❤️
Where did you get your heart mold? I would love the link
Amazon has it
Special K thank you
I got it from Etsy! ❤️
Kawaii Art Cafe thank you!
Hi I tried look for those beals where do I buy them I looked up Etsy but couldn’t find them?
Amazon! 😉 Michales or hobby lobby or joanns as well! I found a set of over 100 on Amazon in 3 different colors for 8.99! I’ve been all over looking for them this week. Joanns has them in the Hildi & Jo line. Hobby lobby has them but they were a little bigger then the ones she uses in this video. But hey they work for instant gratification and plus side they are 50% off this week! They are called glue on bails or glue on bail mounts. Don’t get pinch bails you want flat glueable bails. Hope that helps!
I want to make this but I'm struggling to find the supplies could you recommend all places where you got your items from?(also awesome vid♥️)
Thank you ☺️💕 I got majority of the items from amazon actually 😂💖 you can also find good molds and stickers from Etsy and local craft stores like AC Moore’s. Good luck! 👍👍
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 could you leave some links?
Kekes Planet I recommend putting individual research since some of the products I have now are discontinued since the whole corona virus situation 😭 Plus compiling a list of all the links will take me a little while if you don’t mind waiting 🙂 But what will help is if you search Easy Cast resin or Alumilite white coloring on amazon it should be the first search item! ❤️
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 thank you so much you are a big help 💖💖
Kekes Planet I hope taking screenshots of the material lists I made will make things easier 😊💕 You’re welcome, I’m glad to help! 🥰
Very pretty designs. Are the stickers your own designs?
Thank you 😄💕 the ones in this video are not my designs, but now I do actually use my own stickers 💖💖
Hermosos 🔽
Thank you ☺️💕
can i just put some toothpicks in the area where i want to put the chains in?
Hi 👋 you can but I don’t recommend it because you risk bending the charm out of shape 😅 I’ve done it before and found it’s much easier either using a small drill (which can crack the resin) and using a bail 😃
i heard demolding is really hard without some sort of releaser/oil? Does anyone know more about it? i want to start doing resin art soon and I'm worried i might do something wrong! D:
If you use a silicone mould then it should release very easy, if its something other than silicone (like resin for other types of arts like woodwork or something) then a releaser maybe required, but for this type of resin art its not necessary 🤗
@@TheWeekendPresents Thank you so much!! ^__^
Hi, where do you get the golden keychains itself?
Eve V I actually make them with different pieces. I outline what each piece is near the end of my video 🥰🥰
Kawaii Art Cafe thankyou❤️!!
Hi,your video is very beautiful and inspiring💕and your voice is very cute❤.Do you happen to voice characters in games or anime? It's just that your voice sounded very familiar to me.If there are mistakes,I apologize..I'm just Russian and I write through a translator
Thank you so much 🥺💕💕 and I do not actually, but I get that a lot haha 😂💖💖
I have issues at the moment with my stickers moving in my resin, and also my paint separating from my resin not matter how much I stir it, it mixes in but then when in the mold the paint separates into little spots?? I'm not sure if its my resin.. or me doing something wrong?? >.<
Anyone have any ideas??
xxchillyxdogxx sometimes if the sticker is very thin it’ll float to the top 😅 one thing that helps is wait two hours for the resin to cure tacky and thick and then push the stickers down ☺️ it could also be the resin you use, I used two other brands from the department store that was difficult to mix paints with. That why I recommend the easy cast crafting resin! It mixes well with all sorts of glitters, paints, and ingredients 🥰 I hope this helps good luck 👍
I love your cute tutorials ! All of your videos have helped my partner and I with starting our own resin shop ! I have to ask-where do you get your waterproof stickers ? My partner and I are worried about copyright issues with using stickers in our products-can we ask where you get yours and/or certain places you’d recommend ? We love your work !
Thank you so much! ☺️💖 I’m happy to hear my videos are helpful 😄 and I get most of mine from Etsy or I make them myself nowadays! 🥰 as for copyright, I always inform that these are not my designs and categorize my charms as fanart. But if you sell it please check the rules of whatever convention/platform you’re selling at ☺️💕 good luck with your shop!! 💖💜💖
Kawaii Art Cafe Thank you so much !
They are so pretty!! How come you don't dome the back after you glue the bail? I had a few come off even though I use E6000 so now I try to dome the back to secure it but it always spills and ruins the heart T_T QQ
Zack Dibe thank you 😁💕 doming is great! I do have the same problem where I overspill if I done the backs. So to keep it soft I sand down the back of the charm. And if the E6000 isn’t strong enough you can add UV resin to the back too! 💖💜💖
Try using a liquid latex painted on your front and sides of your piece, it goes on white and dries clear then dome the back and when resin is dry peal off latex, anything that drips over will peel off with the latex
Donna Gaskill oh that’s a good idea! Thank you 💖💜💖
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 ❤
does the resin ever start yellowing? after being cured and kept ?
Aimee Torres as far as I know most resin brands have a shelf life of 4-6 months depending on if it’s exposed to sunlight. So if you do store them I recommend keeping them away from any direct light to preserve the color 😄💖💖
Kawaii Art Cafe awesome! thank you so much :)
Cantik nya😍😍😍😘😘😘
Siti Kodiyah thank you 💜💜
How to make
where u buy that stickers?:(
pixulita ψ on Etsy and Amazon ☺️💕
How do you clean the little cups?
Ashley DiGiacomo I usually use them twice and then dispose of them 😅 but if you use a silicone measuring cup you’ll be able to wash with dish soap and reuse them! 💖
Kawaii Art Cafe even with one full of just resin? Because if I use one cup for resin one for hardener they’ll just stay sticky
Ashley DiGiacomo I usually just reuse that cup since it never hardens, but after a while it’ll become yellow so that’s when I throw it out 🙂
Hi! where do you buy the beals and mini pom poms? 🥰
dakotahjadee hello 👋 I got my bails from amazon and the Pom poms are handmade 😄✨ I make them out of this fuzzy fabric, there should be some tutorials for that somewhere on UA-cam 😊💕
Sorry I had not realized I typed Beal instead of Bail on my materials list, that was a typo 😅
Kawaii Art Cafe thank you for responding! I just saw your shop and I love the ones that you sell with the pompoms! but I think it may be too big for my Nintendo switch lite. (I want to hang one on where a dust plug would go). Do you take special orders or make smaller cabochon keychains that will fit better on cell phones or Nintendo switch lites? 😊
dakotahjadee ofcourse 😁💕 and unfortunately not at the moment since supplies for customs are a little limited at this time 😅 but I’d definitely consider it! I’ll keep you updated, thank you for your suggestion 💖💖💖

Amanda Aulia I sell it on my Etsy shop and at conventions 😊💖 you can see how I sell them as a vendor on my Artist Alley vlog 1 video 😄❤️❤️❤️
@@kawaiiartcafe7148 thank you
Amanda Aulia you’re welcome 😊❤️
I want to make anime key chains so can I use my photocopy anime charas and dip them in the resin like she did with the stickers? Someone plz advise me🤗
I guess you could either laminate your photocopies and try it that way or put a clear coat on a handmade label paper sticker? Experimenting is fun, hope one of them helps!
@@TheWeekendPresents Sorry I'm late but thanxx! ^^ I'll try laminating them first then!(๑˃̵ ᴗ ˂̵)و Since I have some lamination sheets to spare!!
Can you use us how to assemble the beans together?
Philly Noyoko I do have a full written tutorial and material link list that shows you exactly how to assemble the keychain part on my ko-fi page here: ko-fi.com/kawaiiartcafe
So it’s okay to just buy brand name stickers like rilakuma and Sanrio characters resell the product you’ve made? There’s no copyright issues here? Does this limit how and where you can sell the charms?
Takara Jacques to be perfectly honest I’m not really sure so I wouldn’t be the best for advice on this 🤣😂 I basically just learned from other resin artists who also use these sticker sets. But now that you asked I’ll definitely research the topic and give you an update ❤️
Kawaii Art Cafe oh! Okay! Thank you for replying so soon! I love your videos and set up and products and everything btw. I’m doing my first con this and these look fun to make! But I don’t want to get kicked out or something if I go about it wrong QwQ.
Aw thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰 oh good luck on your first con, I hope it’s an amazing experience! ❤️ as far as I know you should look up the rules for the conventions you sell at. Most of them allow things like fan art, but not things like 18+ unless it’s in a designated room 🤔 but for the most part the rules are pretty simple 😊💕
Takara Jacques i recently bought a line character sticker and it states on the packing to not sell that’s decorated with the sticker. But it’s better to search around if it doesn’t say so

Hello. A lot of good points in this video. However... a chef's torch should NEVER be used on a silicone mold. It will melt the resin and the mold together and when you pull the resin piece out, it will tear the mold and that torn spot will always show in your resin thereafter. It may not happen today or tomorrow, but it WILL happen! Even a lighter is discouraged. A heat gun or blowing through a straw is much safer. Using popsicle sticks or any wood stirrers will create microbubbles in the resin. Wood is full of tiny pores that contain air and it gets into the resin. Bubbles are resin's worst enemy. You can heat the Part A in a pan of hot water to make it more viscous so the bubbles can float to the top and be removed. I prefer using a heated coaster for 3-5 minutes. I NEVER have bubbles. Do not heat the Part B - that's where all the nasty chemicals are. Always read your resin's MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for all the safety information. It may seem like nothing, but resin can be a very dangerous chemical.
Those little finger condoms are not nearly safe enough. Full nitrile gloves are NEEDED when working with resin. Also, safety glasses and a respirator - or at least a very well ventilated room, working near an open window. Of course then you might get something blow in and land in your resin. Use a ventilator with the proper filters.
Miley onDisney thank you for your advice! 🥰 I’m aware that even though it’s my first tutorial I should have included more detail about resin safety. It was wrong to assume people do further research and read all instructions before trying out this video 🙈 and only showing how I make them after a year of experience 😅 thank you so much for taking the time to include all of this, I will definitely follow your advice as well! 💜
Kakak hebat sekaliiii
