Upgrade RAM on my new Lenovo V15 G3 IAG business laptop

My new Lenovo business laptop bought in early Jan 2024 only has 8GB RAM so I installed/added another 8GB RAM to it. This is the first time I have ever installed a RAM card onto a computer/laptop.

I am not a computer expert nor reviewer nor technician, I bought this new laptop so I can edit video faster for my UA-cam channel. I used this new laptop and the upgraded RAM to edit this video which proves to be very fast and super awesome (much better than my previous 2019 laptop). My previous Lenovo laptop bought in 2019 is still working but has started playing up with showing pop up error messages on things, I think it's nearing the end of its life.

On your Task manager on "Memory" did yours say slot 1 of 1 before adding the ram?
I also Bought the same laptop and want to upgrade ram

Hello, unfortunately I did not take notice of what the 'Memory' was prior to upgrading the RAM. I have the Task Manager / Performance tab open now as I'm writing this, and it says 'Memory 6.6 / 15.7 GB (41%). It only says 'Memory' as single one only, there is no 'Memory slot 1' nor 'Memory slot 2'
