How to cook Jamaican Style Curried Goat | Cliffy's Kitchen

  • In this video, I will guide you step-by-step on how to cook delicious Curried Goat. Leave your thoughts below in the comment section.
    Ingredients:
    4lbs mutton (goat meat)
    1.5 tsp geerah marsala
    1.5 tsp garam marsala
    3.5 tbsp Indian curry
    1 tsp salt (or to taste)
    1 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
    1 tsp grounded pimento
    4-5 stalks of scallion/ green onions
    5 large garlic cloves
    1 medium onion
    3 inches of ginger
    a handful of fresh thyme
    1 cup sliced carrots
    Enough water to cover meat after it has browned.

    Until I moved here to South FL- I never had goat before. But at one of our congregation picnics in 2019 I had it for the first time and loved it and so did my husband.

    I have eaten curry goat, but I am not a lover of it. This one look so scrumptious, I would eat some now.

    This is no recipe, you do not mention what are the spices in curry, cliffs sauce and Garam masala , you do not burn spices as they loose total essential oils that give it a flavor . You did not use any fat like butter or oil. This just a Stu not curry, there are lot of goat curry recipe s on UA-cam just watch it and then make the goat curry.

      Hey Google! Please see the description box for a list of ingredients. We used an Indian curry powder as well for the garam and geerah masala. Listing all the spices in these packets would be quite extensive. In many West Indian cultures 'burning the curry' in oil with some garlic is the way to go 🙂 the end result was great, you should give it a try!
