I still use a battered nearly 40years old original IPK sheet that I was issued around 83. I use it as a boot liner in my car when I'm taking garden waste up the dump. It's covered in paint, abit frayed around the edges, but would still make an excellent emergency shelter if needed. Not sure it'd survive a T90 tank running over the top of it now days, and the NBC coating might be worn off by now too, but I reckon it's still got another 40 years in it. I cut a couple of my stakes up for tarp toggles, and was thinking of pouch liners/drybag for the sheet, didn't think of the bellows trick though, cheers marra!
@@outsidertank Already have a erm, fishing spear as part of my procurement kit, I do need to do a bit more work on it, measurement markers, para, duct tape and fishline wraps, just some nice extras.
You said it at min 3:28, the IPK sheet makes a very good, sturdy but light ground sheet. Way better than the German elephant skin ground sheet in my opinion... Regards Torsten
