I got into Honkai Impact 3rd about 4 months ago... *one of the absolute best decisions of my life.* 🔥 This game is so God damn fun to play and it's story is absolute top-tier (definitely Hoyo's masterpiece). I never expected to get as attached to the game as I got, but the amount of tears I shed for these characters before even hitting the halfway point of Part 1 is honestly crazy. (The game's cutscenes and sad stories hit so unbelievably hard) 😭 *Definitely very glad there's been quite an increase in interest in Honkai Impact 3rd lately.* Hope to see you make more Hi3 content!

I've tried to get back into it multiple times only to run into serious issues since ofc, they do give a lot of free stuff and whatnot buuuuut: millions of materials to juggle, gacha equipment up the wazoo, and a few other things. The game ain't bad, it's just what I'd deem a bit too hardcore, plus it's way too far into its lifespan to start proper now. StarRail is more middle ground in the Hoyo trinity of Genshin StarRail and Honkai 3rd, so I stick with that one instead.
Part 2 will be friendly for f2p. 90 guarantee on valks, 60 guaranteed on weapon, free featured stig every patch, farmable feature stigs. More frags on dupes. Basically part 2 is a free game for meta players

Yep (if you care about the competitive side like abyss, etc) the powercreep is absolutely real, the game is obviously p2w but it's not that bad, you can compete as a f2p. And you still can enjoy the story and events without worry about any characters since they usually will provide that.
Don't even worry about that tbh. Like the 1st person said, it only applies to the higher (we call them "whale tier" LMAO) tiers of the competitive side of hi3. You can complete these game modes as is (aka waifu > meta) and still get decent rewards. I have like, no meta supports but still am in agony 3-redlotus, which is the upper middle ground of abyss, and I'm able to clear most memorial arena bosses with near max points. 😊
Sure, why not, there are a lot of free stuff rn, also as far as I know in a couple of months the game engine will be updated and a completely new story will begin with new mechanics, characters and gacha system
Mihoyo, please either add an EN dub to _HI3_ , or make your other games at least as generous as this is. So many people skip this game because they don't wanna read subtitles.

You should play it. MASSIVE QoL and system changes are coming in Version 7.3 (currently 7.1). You will love it.

I rage quit HI3 in 2018 because it started to get too much of a grind. I am tempted to download it again.
they made the grind a lot less. im not a very old player so i cant say TOO much, but i heard how awful it was, which isnt really the case now.

Yep (if you care about the competitive side like abyss, etc) the powercreep is absolutely real, the game is obviously p2w but it's not that bad, you can compete as a f2p. And you still can enjoy the story and events without worry about any characters since they usually will provide that.
Honestly, the powercreep only start when you're at superstring red lotus/Nirvana but below that you can clear all the stage with scuffed team
