Hi Franz, I see you like the Carbon Parts same me. Carbon Strut Tower bars are not the optimum for motorsport. RSI and DNA Racing Italy glue the the aluminium ends into the carbon tubes. Exactly glued parts on the stop can withstand a lot of pressure but not pull when the vehicle rebounds. One - piece pressure screwed aluminium struts are a much better choice here. The Original Gazoo Racing strut you have same me in the car is perfect. I would leave it in. With the rear strut, I can only tell you that the installation is absolutely stupid and the Italiens didn't turn their heads on during the construction. No installation instructions and no template to install and to cut the side panels. Almost impossible to screw the strut through the milled openings. Once it is installed, there is no luggage space and it cannot simply be removed again for a short time, like for example the Cusco Strut. I had problems with the installation for over 3 hours.
Hey man. Thanks for the informative comment. Im gladly keeping the GR bar on the car for now. Maybe install the RSI for a carshow or something. Hahaha. Yeah you're right about the rear bar. It didnt come with template or instructions...
Ööhlins not Oohlins😁 they are great. The fender cover would be nothing for me. When then only when it would go around the corner till to the plastic wheel cover so that the place where cars usually start to rust are covered from stone hits. Finally after a year of waiting my GR arrived last week. He is now by a underbody cover specialist. He needs protection, we have here a lot salt in the winter on the roads. Greetings from a Asian out of Switzerland 🇨🇭 Say hi to your great Dad
Great vid! new subscriber here. I recently bought coilovers too for my eg. Could you recommend any good shop for coilover installation and tune? Many Many Thanks!
Hi Franz, Happy New YEar and all best wishes for 2022. .If you're installing the carbon lodi 🤣RSi Front Strut bar, I'm willing to buy your OEM GR front Strut bar from you, that is if you're planning to sell it ofcourse...
Hello! Happy new year! The only reason I haven't installed the RSI front strut bar actually is because I think the OEM GR strut bar will retain more value in the long run... hahaha if ever I install the RSI bar, I'll still be keeping the GR bar. :)
Ohlins packaging is sooo bad!! See those front struts knocking against each other in the bottom of the box. I have bought 3 sets from them.. all damaged due to crap packaging.
@@FranzGaw they knocked into each other and damaged the chrome on the damper pistons. I ordered one set, ended up needing3 sets to make one good set, obviously at their cost. They tried to blame UPS. Why on earth they can’t put them in “stocks” like every other manufacturer does is beyond me??
great father n son tandem! God bless you both
Thanks! God bless you too!
Awesome stuff mate! I'm getting the Öhlins as well. Unbeatable quality and ride. Well done.
Thanks Andrew! The Ohlins kit tells me love at first sight is real. hahaha

My dad would be "what have you just wasted all your money on"
it's different when your dad's into the same hobby!

2:06 is the rear strut brace that goes behind the seat I'm pretty sure. Or one that goes behind the rear bumper chassis brace
yeah I checked RSI's website. Apparently it's a rear strut bar.
