Dog Attacked By Racoon While Pheasant Hunting

I thought that I was going to flush up a bird holding tight. Unfortunately it was not & this racoon would not stop. I did not want to shoot it but in that moment of holding my pup back, it lunged at her again instead of run away. That would have been a horrible to have to physically break up with my hands if I did not take that shot when the opportunity presented itself.
