We have 3 Utopia adventures booked…..the one nice thing living 1 hour 15 minutes from port. Already there….my body will join me in September/October and December!!🛳️😊

@@SvenLeemans1 I feel for anyone having to fly to a cruise…so many costs: high gas prices…parking the car…maybe pet sitter…hotel pre-cruise (always arrive the day before)…only a deep breath and initial adult beverage….makes it all worth while….the smile on your face confirms that!😊🛳️🍺🍷🥂”Don’t give up the ship”……
2 weeks from today we'll be there! I'm looking forward to trying out the Pesky Parrot and the Spare Tire. But honestly just really looking forward to another nice RC vacation. Thanks for all you do, Matt.

As a huge Bamboo Room (and tiki bars generally) fan, I can't wait for the Pesky Parrot. I just wish the ship had longer itineraries mixed in.
We decided to give them a bit of time to shake things out. Our Utopia experience is in January and, like others, to make it worth the flights we are doing an almost side to side (one night in between to do some laundry) onto Adventure. Despite being Diamond, this will be our first cruise on an Oasis class ship.
You will never go about to another class 😅
I love the Oasis Class ships. I’ve sailed the Allure, Harmony and back to back on the Wonder. Will be on the Utopia in November for the 3 and 4 night consecutively. Love RCL. I am almost Diamond plus will need one cruise after this to get there. Waiting for the Icon prices to drop some or some great offers.
Most excited about Royal Railway!
Can’t wait to see all the changes especially the new elevators. We’re booked on Aug 5th cruise and are going to the Mason Jar after we board. Excited!

Can't wait to cruise on the Utopia in September. It will be my first Oasis class ship. I'm looking forward to the Aqua Show, zipline, hanging out in the Solarium and eating lots of delicious food.

I wish they did 5-7 night sailings even as a newish cruiser I hate 3 and 4s because I have to book a flight...

YES - a back to back is all you need to do a week cruise. Simple answer!!
@@123PukeYou pay more for back-to-back cruises and you end up visiting less ports than you would on a regular cruise. Not the best value in comparison.

Hoping they change to 7 day sailings or unfortunately we will not be sailing on Utopia. Not worth the flight expense for a 3-4 day and we enjoy different ports.
You could book back to back. Start either the Friday or the Monday, start Friday end Monday book Monday to Friday and you're on the ship for Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday 😎👌. Thats if that option works out economically for you
@@tremainemorgan7529 Yeah, but its more expensive than a normal 7 day and visits the same ports. Guess we just value ports as much as the ship.
The back to back does work for some though and more power to them.
I’m so glad it’s 4 days. It’s absolutely worth my time to take a long weekend and drive to Canaveral.
I would agree if I had to fly in. However as I am close to the Florida ports I may give her a shot. It will depend on pricing though. I don’t like paying a premium for ships just because they are new. I can wait.
The entire point of this ship is to offer shorter sailings for people who want to book those on an Oasis class ship, which they have previously not had the option to do.
I love the colors used on Utopia. This ship is on my cruising bucket list. The Pesky Parrot looks fun & as a southerner, I have to go to the Mason Jar to see if the food is up to snuff.

Having just enjoyed Harmony of the Seas, the first week of June 2024. I am thrilled to see the elevator and solarium improvements. HOTS was HOT (the pools were tepid at best)! The thought of an indoor - controlled environment with a pool sounds amazing!

Bionic Bar was so much fun to watch, kids love it. Still don't get the emphasis of Habachi. They are everywhere and its a cheep way to make a lot of food.

We are Sailing on her maiden voyage. The thing I’m most excited about is the fact that we will be the first ones on it! I’m totally looking forward to the royal railway express. I am a locomotive 🚂 engineer and don’t get to be pampered by the railroad 🛤️ so this will be new experience for me. (Well kind of) just have to imagine
As a former cruise ship nurse I would love if you could ask for a quick tour in the medical centre. Thanks for this nice overview, it's a lovely ship.

first time cruisers are unlikely to book ships like utopia because them being the latest in the line, they are the most expensive to book by far. The most likely people to book it are experienced cruisers who know it will be worth the nearly 2x cost increase.
We’re really excited for royal railway utopia station!! Fingers crossed they have reservations open soon for our sailing on July 29!
those tornados are very popular at most PX Gas stations. they don't serve them at the big PX at least not on Fort Bragg or what was named Fort Bragg, Whenever we go into the field. we stop by a PX pick couple thier a good quick gas station sack. I only had it when I was on active duty on base but I bet other gas stations in the civilian world probably serve them.

Exactly 4 weeks from today, I'll be on Utopia. I have a feeling I'm going to wish the cruise was 5 days longer. Really excited for the Aqua Show and the food.

The secret to the elevators is always select 3 decks. If you're going to deck 8 selct 7,8 & 9 and just get on the first one that comes. Might have to walk up or down 1 flight of stairs but it can save you some time. Sometimes on icon it can take forever for your elevator to arrive. Doing the 1 above and 1 below method saved me so much time and made the elevators so much better.

I saw Utopia at sea on July 9th while I was sailing on Wonder last week!
We are sailing in October so pretty excited. We have done the Wonder and Icon so curious to see what was changed in this ship. The elevators on the Icon were a total game changer! We did miss the solarium and mason jar from the icon..
Hi Matt. What got me was the new boat being available for shorter trips. That and the railroad dining. I am going mid November and might do a back to back.
Hi Matt… great little rundown ofUtopia. Don’t think I will make it on there anytime soon since I live on the West Coast. And if I did, it would have to be back to back. I love what they did with Giovanni‘s. And I love destination, elevators, which I’ve only experienced on the carnival panorama.. i’m not the biggest fan of oasis class ships, I have only sailed on one which was harmony, but I did absolutely love the solarium!
I'm taking my daughter as a surprise for her birthday in January!
Can't wait...10 more days! We sailed on Icon last month but still prefer the Oasis ships. Looking forward to lunch at Giovanni's on embarkation day. Hoping to snag an outside table (weather permitting).

Love the ship. I have not been on my first cruise yet. I have it booked. My focus is on the destination. Maybe my second cruise will be a newer ship. Sailing on Enchantment first.

Always as always love listening to your RCL content. You're the greatest Ambassador for the cruise line and it looks like the higher ups know it since they interact with you. I continue to live vicariously thru you and your family. Now its time for me to find myself a girlfriend. I'd really enjoy cruising more with a friend. I still feel awkward cruising Solo. August 5th, we will be on her. Soooo excited.
Tornados are essentially taquitos with no Mexican ingredients. A lot of gas stations have them as they can be cooked on the same roller type grill as hot dogs.
I really had no idea that was the name!
Booked for November 11, 2024 and will follow with three night.

Could you do a video on finding quiet spaces? Besides my room, I find it hard to find quiet spaces with A/C where I can read a book. There's so much music everywhere.

I would love to see more features targeted for toddlers. I feel like no one really addresses this. Supposedly there is a place scape along Central Park, would love to see that. Would love to see the play scape behind the windjammer and the diapered pool area please!!
On Harmony there is a play area for toddlers right outside the kids club drop off area
The bridge wings off the Solarium are among my favorite features of the Oasis (and Quantum) class, but I guess the ship won't make enough money leaving them in place. Heaven forbid they actually keep a feature that everyone on board can use and enjoy for no extra charge in the name of a few thousand dollars more per sailing wedging in more suites... and then the TV screen blasting sound down into Central Park like Wonder, just more things that turn me off to this ship.
I'm waiting, but not holding my breath for some real information about Project Discovery to replace the small ships at a (hopefully) more reasonable fare than the new mega ships. I've enjoyed every sailing I've taken on an Oasis class ship, but the smaller ships have their own merits and I enjoy them too. With Jason "Upcharge" Liberty's obsession with the big shiny objects and beach clubs, there hasn't been a single update on that project since the original Blog post in January, almost six months ago to the day.
See you there. We are inaugural 2. The ship has so many features that I doubt we will get off at Nassau. My kids wanted to try the Railroad restaurant, whatever it's called, but so far, no way to book and I hear it's expensive and long.

what bothers me about giovanni’s being there with outdoor seating is less privacy for anyone in surrounding rooms
We board on Aug 16th and I think it might be the Pesky Parrot I am most excited for. Also hoping to get to do the Royal Railway (if they ever open it for booking)
