100% on the heat! As someone who’s a local, we hardly have been going lately because it’s just been unbearable. So glad you guys had a great trip though and made the most of it! And so nice to bump into you guys at the Poly!
Just wait til Ellie gets older… my oldest is now 12 and my youngest is 6 and they are go getters. Lol! They want to ride every single ride and watch every single show. 😂 I love it.
I agree with the relief of an annual pass when it comes to getting your moneys worth! I got mine this year and have been a few times since. It’s nice to know that I don’t *have* to spend every second in the parks on a day where my son just isn’t feeling it. It’s also nice to get to experience the resorts! I’m on a trip now and haven’t been to the parks yet bc we’ve been exploring and enjoying our resort
I used to take my oldest when she was 3-4 years old. We had so much fun! Only difference was, we lived 15 mins from Disney Workd and we would go all day, but not rope drop to close. We would be there for several hours before going home and she was a trooper. Flexibility is key.
Thanks for the tips. Best tip I could give is to have several visits to your neighborhood park under your belt and that way going to a theme park will feel like an extension of that so more snacks more liquids more of everything. My son still sleeps with mom and I so we sleep on the same bed. We’re staying in value resort since we don’t plan on spending enough time at the resort to justify the higher price tag. My son and I have done LegoLand , Peppa Pig, Overnight train ride, cross state line road trips, Zoos, and beaches but now we’re looking to add Walt Disney World to our “boys only” trips. If all goes well and in a year or two he still likes Disney then we’ll consider DVC. We’re doing the 4day pass. One at Epcot, 2 at Magic Kingdom, and last one at Animal kingdom. We plan on getting Genie+ three out of the 4 days. Traveling solo has its challenges but it strengthens our communication. Plus is less stressful then having to wait for my wife to get ready in the mornings. 😂 Best and warm wishes!🫶🤗😆
We love Wilderness Lodge too, though it's our #1. Animal Kingdom and OKW are tied for 2nd. We think the Riviera is so pretty overall, but the rooms are small for the points charged. We do love all the restaurants there though, particularly the character breakfast. As someone who lives near the parks, yes July and August are brutal here. Take breaks and hydrate are our mantras. 😂
@@BekahHart We will be staying at the Villas @ Grand Floridian in March - can’t wait! Whenever we have questions we ask “ what does Bekah have to say on that topic?”😁
Great tips we re headed back next week. Last time was in May so prepared for some major heat. Booked chef Mickey at 1230 hoping it’s a good break time before nap
Walking through the Emporium and taking a midday break are great tips. This July was brutal. That's why we stayed on at the Grand Floridian for ease of access. Worth the extra money because Im big and pregnant.
I was there in June and it was hot but not 105 degrees hot. The shower was my best friend lol I still enjoyed my time and looked for shade when I needed to and drank tons of water - but I think I prefer to go when it’s not so hot.
I had a split stay in June with my last night at AKL. I have always dropped my luggage off with UBER rather than having Disney transfer it and online check in. I pulled into the property at 9:05am and I immediately got the text that my room was ready. It was amazing. I have had early notifications and late notifications with online check-in. But that experience definitely gave me a great impression of AKL of course. And my standard room had partial Savannah!! Best experience and makes me want to book another short stay at AKL. Can’t be there the whole time since Epcot and DHS are my favorite parks.
We noticed the same thing with the Magic Kingdom crowds on the extra evening hours. We even cancelled our Tron virtual queue (with an estimated 1am callback!) and left at 11 after the fireworks. Epcot was fine, but I don’t think we’ll ever attempt MK extra hours again.
I’m sure it is miserable, especially for a baby and toddler. They cannot handle these high temperatures. But UA-camrs have to keep creating content to keep their channel running etc
Wowzer.....all the talk of the extreme heat and humidity reminds me of our first trip in June 2010. There was record breaking heat for that time, and the humidity was sickening. We were there for ten days so hit the pool in the afternoons.🏖 Back then, you got free extra magic hours till 2 or 3am...those were the days!👍😊✌
We just got back from rivera stay the resort and Disney was Good but it was just to HOT to be in the parks probably we don’t go back in June again thank you for your videos
We had to move a February trip to July this year - and I said NEVER again. It was cheaper so we were able to stay longer, but it was not worth it since we spent all that extra time hiding out from the heat in our hotel room. It was so hot the kids didn’t even want to go to the pool during our midday breaks.
We are sooooo excited to stay at the Rivera when we go in March! 4 days there renting dvc the price was great for us as a family of 6 (one is an infant) and then 7 days at Art of Animation we are in love with AOA we consider it a home away from home for us but we love doing split stays so we can try other resorts too.
I've only been to Disney in July, and I finally had enough after last year 😂 We booked for next May so I'm hoping it's a little better! That heat can be brutal, especially for the little ones
Thanks for always being authentic! We are looking to stay at a deluxe resort next fall for the food and wine festival. We have been wanting to stay at Riviera, but would you recommend somewhere else? We will have my 4 year old and in-laws with us.
When you stay at Wilderness Lodge, how does the stroller work with taking the boat to MK? My son will be 2 (almost 3) when we go next December! Thanks!
It depends which boat you get! Some of the boats are large enough that you don’t have to break down your stroller, but on the smaller boats, you will need to break down the stroller ☺️ I didn’t find it to be a huge hassle.
I don’t have an instagram to be able to ask you this but how do you keep your child occupied and patient in long lines. If I remember correctly, you can’t take your stroller. I can’t imagine my 2 year old standing in a line for a half hour hahaha…
Wondering how you get Ellie to sleep by herself, I always put my four year old son to sleep in his room and he always ends up in my bed, my daughter was the same, neither of them ever wanted to sleep in their crib, despite my persistent efforts to sleep them in their own beds, they always end up in mine.

Loved this Q+A!! We went to Disney last year during Christmas!!! And dying to go back!!!
Wow! Thanks Bekah - so much helpful and creative info and insights - Great Vlog

AMAZING! Great example of why I love bringing our luggage to the next resort ourselves 🙌🏼

Appreciate your honesty!
Absolutely!!
as a native floridian, idk how yall are out there in the summer . insanity. my whole family would be miserable
I’m sure it is miserable, especially for a baby and toddler. They cannot handle these high temperatures. But UA-camrs have to keep creating content to keep their channel running etc
I grew up in Florida, and all of our summers were spent indoors 😅 It’s easy to forget how hot it gets after moving to Tennessee hah.

We went in July this year and the heat was horrible. I will never plan another trip to Disney in July
I agree with you on the heat in Florida that's why I will now only go between November and April at the latest. Me and the heat are not friends!
Nov & April are perfect temperature wise 👌🏼
Peep that super cute OKW T’shirt💕
It’s my fav 😍
May-September is the worst in Florida. So damn hot!
It the same with August. The heat is unbearable also. Would you plan a disneyland trip?
We did Disneyland last year and loved it!

Our top five is so similar. I would rank riviera number five. I would put animal kingdom before it.
First week of august is just as bad. I went one year for my birthday. Im like never again.

Do you have a tinted sunscreen you’d recommend?
Love the Tower 28 tinted sunscreen 🙌🏼
How do you feel about September over July? We're going around Labor Day and I'm a little nervous lol.
September is MUCH better. It’s still hot, but not “melting into the pavement” hot 😅
Have you stayed at the Polynesian?
I have! It’s a been a few years though ☺️
Had you not become a Disney vlogger, would you have a "regular" job or be a stay at home mom?
I would still be a stay at home mom regardless of UA-cam ☺️

I have actually tried to get Ellie to sleep in my bed, but she refuses 😆
Do you ever take fall trips? Or have one planned?
Yes! We do!
