So cute! I think for the big gray square pillow cover, the stripped portion on the inside actually goes over the pillow inset to cover it. I have the beige one and that's how mine works. ;)

Love this couch! I'm actually thinking of buying 2 of them for my living room. How many people can you fit on it at a time without being squished? Can it fit 3 people comfortably? Also, PLEASE tell me what the colour name and brand of paint is that's on your wall behind your couch in this video. It's gorgeous!
Honestly, I think this couch can sit 4 people comfortably 😄 it's a large couch and I want another instead of the leather couch we have on the other side. It's so comfortable! Thank you so much! 🥰🥰 I will comment a little later with the color because I have to go downstairs and find it 😄

I would noget a twin size slat for the under side of the cushions because the middle sinks a bit, see photos before you sit down. Agree on the $100.00 price difference. Can afford a second slip cover for $100.00 savings in grey? Pillow is too big! Save box and make flat playhouse or choo choo or something fun for the kids.Good job putting it together all by yourself! 😀

Yea, It was pretty easy and I'm the type of person that likes putting furniture together as long as it's not too difficult 😊 I felt pretty handy 💪😂

Hey there Richard. The whole family loves this couch. We have two couches and it’s like the other couch doesn’t exist, lol. It’s extremely comfortable. You can easily fall asleep on it as it’s warm and roomy. I don’t regret buying it all all. The cover has held up nicely. I did notice some pilling after a lot of washes. I was washing it about once a week for a long while and noticed the pilling but I just shaved them off with a pill shaver and that was that. All better. I did put a cover on the cover, lol. I did that because the couch gets a lot of wear and tear. The kids are all over it, the Hubby lays on it without changing out of his work clothes sometimes, the dog got poop on it a couple of times. It was a lot for me to keep (it’s not the couches fault, lol) up with so I put another cover on it that I got from Amazon and it’s been such a breeze. Everyone is happy now, lol.

How are the cushions holding up? On Ikea site many complain they go flat after a short time and replacement seat cushions not available.
Thank you for your question! My husband lays all over this couch just about every day and falls asleep on it before going to bed and the cushions have stayed nice. He's not a small guy either, lol!

3 years later are you still happy with the sofa? Is it sturdy and how has it handled boisterous little boys? I have a 4 year old that loves to jump on the sofa.
We all still love the couch and my husband is laying on it as we speak. He only lays on this couch as it’s his favorite. I barley get to lay on it, lol. It’s just way too comfy. It’s held up great with the kids too. They love it as well. It’s super comfortable and cozy.

I know this video is older but would you happen to know where to get the slipcovers for the 3.5? I seen the ektorp covers everywhere for the regular 3 seat but i am having a very hard time finding slipcovers for my 3.5 it is really making me regret buying it now.i have only had mine since 2019 so to not be able to find the covers for it is becoming a headache.
Hey! I feel your pain! That’s one of the reasons why I actually bought a new couch from IKEA. I think the video on the new IKEA couch is one of my more recent ones I posted. Before I bought the new couch though I was going to buy a slip cover for the ektorp 3.5 from Etsy or a place that I found on google that makes customized covers. But I really needed a sleeper sofa so I just ended up buying a new couch instead. I’m sorry girl, I know it stinks! It’s such an awesome couch too! We still have ours in the basement. I definitely didn’t want to get rid of it. Too comfy. When the time comes and I want to buy a new cover for the ektorp 3.5 I’m going to seek a company that makes customized covers! I hope that helps!

Do you feel like you need to adjust the cushions often/do they move around?
Nida Siddiqui Nope, I don't ever really feel like I have to adjust the cushions. I just adjust the decorative pillows and that's it! I'll be doing a video on washing the cover soon! :)
How's it holding up??, Hope it isn't sagging, coz after quite a while most of the cushions just drop drow due to excessive wear!!!
It’s holding up really well! The cushions are holding their shape great and my Husband lays on it all the time!

Everywhere I see this sofa it looks like it needs ironed. Does it wrinkle up easy? I’ve always had leather and I’m ready to switch it up.
After I wash it I put the cover on slightly damp and all the wrinkles in the skirt fall out other than that I never have a problem with wrinkles. ☺️

It is extremely comfortable! I never feel uncomfortable when I'm sitting on it, except if I'm sitting on one of the boys toys by mistake 😂

Hi! do you still love this sofa? We are thinking of purchasing it. We are a family of 5. 2 adults, 13 yr old who is as big as an adult and and 4 and 2 yr old that are wild...plus a dog (but she doesnt go on the sofa). How is it it holding up with washing?
Yes! I still love it! There were times when I did wish I bought a leather couch because it would be easier to wipe off but I would never pick the look of a leather couch over this couch. The coziness of this couch is too loveable. Everyone who comes over sit on it and loves how comfortable and cozy it is and it sits quite a bit of people because of it's larger size. I told my husband I would just like to have a back up cover for when family come over for the holidays in case mine looks a little beat up. My two boys and greasy husband have really taken a liking to this couch and have made a couple of stains on it. Washing it is a breeze though! I'm not the best at spot cleaning and I'm still learning so I'm sure my next cover will turn out better over time. I will do another review for you guys so you can see how it's held up 😊😊

Oh my gosh. The most comfortable couch out there. Just ask my husband who falls asleep on it every night 🤣 Maybe too comfortable! 😂

This was posted 8 months ago. How is it holding up? Is it comfortable? Is the fabric fraying ? I enjoyed the video.
The couch is holding up beautifully! The material is not fraying at all. There are a couple of stains on it but that's because my kids are wild and my husband lays on it after he's been working on his cars but I am able to get most of them out. I recently bought the white cover and I just am in love with it. The bones of the couch have not changed at all. I honestly wish I had two! I love it!

Yes, it is very high, lol! It's like a couch for a giant. If you like to reach the floor when you sit the original Ektorp would be better for you 😊

Yep! I love it and I can't keep my family off of it, lol! We have to couches and they are ALWAYS on this one, lol!

Is the cover sofa safe from cat scratch?
I’m not sure, I don’t have a cat. But my dog would scratch at it sometimes and nothing would happen 😄

How is it holding up a year later?
It's really holding up great! The pillows are good as new. It's hard keeping the cover clean sometimes but that's because everyone loves this couch and are always on it. My husband falls eats, falls asleep on it. I can't get him off of it! 😂😂

I bought it so long ago but I’m pretty sure it’s the lightest beige color!
I find the beiges all over the map. Some dark, some yellow some light beige with this Ektorp 499.00. Anyone agree?
I found covers on Amazon I will probably try! Another white one 😄 It’s cheaper than the IKEA one and it’s made to fit this one.
