    100% pure talent - harmony - candle light music. :) -- violins, horns,
    I believe this was the actual song that was released.

    The general public didn't realize how incredibly talented the Bee Gee's were because much of the music industry downplayed disco music for many decades. Now, what do you think about them? I grew up in 70's loving the Bee Gee's because I grew up in a family of musicians and singers knowing just how difficult it is to sing at this level. Their harmonies are incredible and I have yet to hear anyone or group with their level of ability. Sadly, Barry is the only Bee Gee to still be alive. I play their music almost daily. They are incredible.

      The "problem" is your agist attitude. I have been out with 4 Women before COVID ( since then no-one !! ) regularly since 1998 when I worked in London and met all 4, as a single guy, within 6 months of each other and one Lady I have seen 1,000 times (literally ) and the 3 others I would see from once a week to once a month and all 4 are now either 41 or 42 years old so "old" hardly applies as I live my life PRE-COVID like someone 25 years younger in London.

    • @VCRider
      @VCRider 3 роки тому

      Isleofskye nice life story. you completely missed the point which makes me doubt if giving any reply here will make any sense. Your 66-year old perspective is not the same as this very young black American girl’s view. Two generations between you and all of these outraged hags that find mister squeaky 30+ bushy man attractive and her. Are you really going to argue about taste and attraction when she simply said what she thinks ? Good Music may be timeless but fashion and looks def aren’t ....

    • @Isleofskye
      @Isleofskye 3 роки тому +5

      It's 4am in London so I will keep this brief but, obviously, it is down to individual taste. I don't see that Race or Nationality will definitely rule out appreciating the attractiveness of others and ALL 4 of The Ladies I mentioned are either Black British of Jamaican antecedency or actually born in Jamaica.
      Beauty not "timeless" sometimes? Have you seen recent photos of THe Late David Bowie's wife: Iman recently?

      Isleofskye why are you talking about yourself all of the time ? 😀...Maybe we can just agree that everyone has their own taste and that your mating preference is not necessarily representative for mankind. I’m a straight male and don’t think Barry very attractive (yet charismatic for sure)

      @@Codex7777 The Bee Gees were born in Australia. I didn't investigate where there lived after that. Its my understanding that they are from Australia.
      There were at least four brothers. The youngest brother, to the best of my knowledge never made a hit song under the Bee Gees name. He was successful on his own. He died before any of the other brothers as far as I know. Only the oldest. The guy who tends to sing the highest the highest notes, which is not his natural singing voice, is the oldest and the tallest of the Bee Gees. He is the one that sorta looks like a Greek God with long flowing hair like a woman and he has a beard. All the other brothers are dead. He did not expect his all his brothers to die before he did. Now he realizes what they meant to him and regrets the petty squabbles they had over music.

    Pure music and talent, before autotune. The Gibb family was so multitalented. They wrote not only their songs but wrote for other artists as well. They wrote their 1967 song To Love Somebody for Otis Redding. Sadly, he died before he could record it. So they included it on their first album.. Their little brother Andy Gibb was one of my heartthrobs. He died I think in '87. He was only 30 years old..

My theory is they were just too good, by which I mean, this song, and several of their others, is so perfect and heavenly that people wanted to have something more "earthy" or "gritty", in the same way that we know salad is the best food, but we want to add something to it to make it more palatabe, or to add salt (which is not good for us) to a good dinner.
