It's actually a great strategy for ANY game! Always look for free cities you can liberate. Especially if you ened gold or need to get rid of some sneaky grievences!!!

im telling you right now, you are not getting a science victory, because after you launch the satellite, it reveals the entire world, and every time that happens the game crashes (at least for me) so you can really only do a diplomatic victory, or a culture victory but thats too hard

I've been waiting for this one. My son said you were slightly insane for attempting it after I explained a little about how the game works and what these kind of runs do your PC, especially doing it on Historic speed. I'm hoping you get admitted to the University of Sankore and their 50k club soon though, you definitely deserve it 👍
I'd argue that you probably could take out Spain if they prove to be too much of a hassle. It wouldn't be historically inaccurate per se, seeing as Portugal and Spain have been unified in the past.
TSL all civs with YONGLE must be insane. Run the Lijia for food and you can crush everyone with pop loyalty early game
With only the Khmer rivalling them in terms of growth, would be very intense indeed!
