Peanut residue on a library book sent an allergic friend to the ER 15 years ago. He earned the nickname “Lobster Boy” that day (given by his Mom…trying to keep things light while in a serious situation).

My niece had a reaction to putting her hands in soapy water that had washed out a half cup measure, that was used to measure walnuts (which she is not allergic to) that were processed in a facility that also processed peanuts, which she is allergic to.
    ER visit and all.
Allergies are very serious for some individuals.

It can be quite severe. I hope this post though sheds light on some of the evidence that we know.

Can I ask you a question? I have histamine intolerance. Before I got that diagnosis I had some allergies to food and dust mite and mold and some medicine and every bug that bites. Now I have really big reactions to really random things and often not again. And also my previous allergies. Is the reactions on the random things false allergies? I do my absolute best to avoid the things I have allergy against. And that is the way you should do. And take medicine. That's how prevention. But I still not sure to prevent this random reaction? Is real allergies? Or my histamine going crazy all on their own? Do allergist doctors know anything about this? Histamines and mast cell's? I live in Stockholm Sweden. And I really can't find an allergy or astma specialist that can explain or treat me. So now I try to ask you. 🤔
