  • Only a handful of cases have been reported in the medical literature regarding lactation anaphylaxis. In other words, the act of breastfeeding can cause an allergic reaction. For general educational purposes only.

Yep. I'm allergic to my period! Not technically but my estrogen and progesterone levels dropping causes me to go into anaphylaxis. Super rare and most people do not believe me including doctors!

I am currently experiencing this!! :( Do you have a link to the original video? Or can you get in contact with me regarding treatment/suggestions on what to do?
I’m 2 weeks PP and currently spent the past 48 hours in different ER clinics where they just all point out that my allergic reaction is real, but that it can’t be caused by my own breast milk. I even showed them that after pumping I get a severe allergic reaction for at least 2 hours. They admit it’s a weird correlation but still send me back home every time because they don’t see how they can help me as they don’t believe it to help true.
