we used to bung a gallon of rotella diesel engine oil in for first start after long term non usage,its also a detergent and cleans the gum out of the turbo bearings,i believe qxr also has a detergent in it,she sounds well mate no scary cranking noises,it shouldnt take you long to get her up to standard,whats happening with rusty mate.

Soon matey , just got quote today for sorting drivers seat out , and got a show for work soon and they want my capri on the stand :) so gotta get her looking pucka , might be taking engine out next and clean paint and re zinc plate everything now know runs fine
@retrorust3395 look for to seeing the capri on the road . I had a 1600e years ago with mk1 3.0 capri running gear was quick up to 80 but didn't do much more . Fuel economy was terrible was all black with black perspec windows looked like something out ov mad max 😆
Gotta be honest, I’ve never done an EDT on a service lol But there is a Ford show coming up in about six months to do with Work so I may even be taking engine out soon strip clean and re zinc and paint everything we’ll see :)
