Could we use the front night vision camera as rear view camera, mounted inside and at the top of rear glass. It looks amazing in the dark, but I would prefer to have that quality night vision camera to display rear view, essentially replacing the rear view mirror which is useless anyway in the dark. Awesome review as always.
@@user-gd1ch8nb2b every single comment on their website for that dashcam is asking for rear cam night vision and they refuse to deliver ... it's like burning money
Is there a reason why i couldnt just run the front camera as my rear camera. I only want the digital rear view camera. Id rather have the night vision in the rear of my vehicle
Is there any latency in the video displayed on the screen ? Can it actually replace the need to look at the road and deive through the dash cam screen?
Good matter of fact commentary with all the relevant information and a clear explanation of night vision capabilities. Here in Australia the repair cost after hitting a kangaroo would buy several of these.
Sir, I live in a village. I need a camera which can be installed inside the vehicle and can record 24 hours so that no one can damage the vehicle. Which can record even in complete darkness. Please tell me about such a camera.
I tried to install the rear camera cable by tucking into the headliner and the weather strip as shown in your video. But it seemed to interfere with the side airbags. It's better to install the cable between the carpet and the plastic plates on the floor. For safety, I installed the cable again. It was more difficult than the headliner way but definitely worthy it.
Every other year I take a long road trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. I do a lot of night driving. This will be helpful to glance at when in doubt what's ahead. I just purchased this and can't wait to try it out.
@MohamedIbrahim-rv2jf it's awesome 👌. Driving at night in the middle of the United States road trip. This device makes it possible to see what's up ahead before you have to turn on your high beams. It makes it safer to travel at night. Bonus, I usually fill my back of the minivan to the top with luggage, which blocks my rear view mirror. I use the rear view camera.

Hi. Great review and great device. I currently own the wolfbox g890 3 channel mirror dash cam. Its great but it has been giving me one big issue. When the front or rear cameras are in direct sunlight the video image on the dash cam becomes very dark. Its as if the camera under exposes the image too much. The indoor cabin camera always looks bright and amazing because it is never under direct sunlight. This darkening of the front and rear camera video images makes it very difficult to see what is being displayed while driving on a sunny day. Especially when wearing sun glasses. With that said do you know if this camera shown here has the same issue? Does it over darken the video image when inder direct sunlight? Im really considering getting this camera and returning my wolfbox g890.
I have not tested the G890 so I can't speak on whether that's how it should perform. But from all my other testing of mirror dashcams, I have never seen one do what you described. To me, it sounds like your unit is defective, and if it isn't, then that's a bad design. The Akeeyo unit shown in this video does not have this problem.
Is the other vehicles, Number plates visible in both Front & Rear, Video footage of the dash cam ? What is the max video resolution it supports. Is it only 1080p or more than that.
If the car is near you in the front, you can see the plate number. Same thing for the rear but the rear cam does not have night vision so if it's dark out, the picture will be dark. Max resolution is full HD at 1080.
Not at all, the display doesn't simply blow up the exposure or brightness to give you a nighttime picture. I didn't find the video image to be distracting at night.
Video worked in a new tab, go figure! ALL dashcameras should have the option to swivel and record the driver or passenger window area, and switch to a wide angle camera. This has become a standard need in the USA. With so many illegal stops made by police, all interactions should always be recorded. Also very important, how well does it do to get license plates. Otherwise these cameras cant help you when you REALLY need it, in a accident or hit run situation. Some other guy on YT did a comparison of exactly this feature, and very interesting to see the results. I would focus on such well thought through devices. We are 2023, we should have MUCH higher expectations vs just how basic parts avaialble are put together with some software. MFGs need to be seeking out the latest and pushing the greatest to yield the best results from each component , and then selling it. Having said that, I think this is still a little helpful device, and a HUD is very welcome also, I would say $120-150 range.
I wish they made the rear camera with night vision like the front cam. Would be useful as a rearview camera mirror
I wish the front camera angle (67°) was at least double.
Does the BSD work at night too?

You can't. That's the reason I returned it.

I like the idea of having a front view camera not integrated to display

As an aussie, I find this hilarious haha
Super Video thank you.
Is this weatherproof? Would be great on a motorcycle…. (Goldwing)
The thick screen wire is killing me, literally just hanging there and I can not hide it anywhere 😂😂
There is a hardwire kit to hide all of that
@@sammyramirez8607 i have this problem too, what kind of hardwire kit fixed it?

Can you turn the screen in black and White ? No colors so you have a best contrast to avoid obstacles, also dimming the 🔆 inside the car !
No it does not have that function.
