A word of caution to ALL. I've had this on my car for months. Actually I think it was my first mod. IF you frequently carry 2 drinks in the car forget the use of the rear cup holder. I don't so it's not an issue. IF you shift aggressive / race you WILL have to change your arm movement going into 4th. I already have and use my wrist more than my forearm...if that makes sense. Those 2 things aside I absolutely LOVE the extra space and my arms are long enough that I can rest one on the armrest and one on the door sill. #gorillaarmlife
You can pull out the cup holders and reverse them so that the smaller cup is in the front and the deeper cup is in the rear. You can then have two drinks.
Yes, the US market armrest extension uses the same mounting bracket as the regular center console lid, so it can be attached to the top of the JDM armrest extension. The issue isn't that they aren't compatible, but that stacking both armrest extenders on top of one another would make the armrest way too tall to be useful, so it's really more a question of whether you want the extra storage cubby or the US market one so you can raise and lower the armrest with just a push of the locking clip button.
#importimageracing the description says this is black, but it looks grey in the video. I need to a black one to match my VB's interior. Which color is it?
The color is close match to the factory color due to this being a OEM part supplied by Subaru. The lighting may look off because the car was being illuminated for better visibility inside the vehicle.
Thanks! Looks great i just ordered it to try it out.. Also this sounds crazy, i was recently trying out another oem extension armrest, and dropped 1 screw in the abyss! Do you foresee any issues? I couldn't see it at all😢😭
The MG version is Charcoal Gray color, the JC version is a Jet Black color. The one in the video is the Charcoal Gray color, I think @HeavyMetalWRX has a video installing the Jet Black color one if you wanted to compare the two. I will say that the leather console lid (the one that comes with the Limited trim) and the ultrasuede lid (optional accessory and I believe it comes with the GT trim) are a better color match to the Charcoal Gray version than the regular plastic lid.
Everyone loves an extra 4 inches 💪
That is what she said.... Hay yoooo!

Got one last year and it is a life changer. So much more comfortable
Wish I knew about this sooner but after seeing this I ordered!
Nice little upgrade but it’s a little flimsy. Make sure the bottom latch is secure. Perfect size for my Springfield
Will this work with the OEM arm extension
I'm wondering this also. Got the OEM extendo-dong armrest and would love to have an extra compartment but are they compatible?

Can you run the oem ultrasuede or leather topper with the extension?
Yes, they use the same mounting hardware so they attach just like the regular lid.
idk why they made it gray though, I would buy if it was black like the top
Same! The gray throws off the color scheme tbh.
@lku I'll have to check it out. It would make more sense if a black one was available for the VB WRX.
I was thinking the same thing

Would this fit 2022 wrx? The link says '15 -21
it sure does fit the 22+!
