I was also taken by his face. That's a good face. I think it's the eye crinkles. You know somebody is REALLY smiling when their eyes crinkle. And by the lines in his face I can tell he genuinely smiles a lot. 😊
I asked an Italian student here in the Netherlands about those small, sweet, still-hungry, Italian breakfasts, and I said how I did not like them because then I would have to eat again an hour later because it was so small and not filling your stomach at all, and he said: ‘yeah thats the whole point, you get to eat again an hour later!’ 😃
To you they seem not filling and I agree with you, because you're probably used to eat more at breakfast. In Italy our breakfast is small compared to the German or English breakfast for example, for us the important meals are lunch and dinner so we don't eat much at breakfast since if you eat much at breakfast you won't be hungry at lunchtime
This is the first time I've seen and heard someone use Callas singing in UA-cam shorts... La Divina had a voice that is simply impossible to describe... Eternal memory of Maria Callas!
@YeshuaMyKing my dad and mom emigrated to USA, where I am born. I'm used to eggs, toast, bacon, pancakes/waffles, and avocados for breakfast. But really, even leftover pizza with coffee will do haha. In Argentina, my family thinks I'm weird for eating eggs and bacon in morning. They are told that a little sugar in the morning is needed (because they don't overdue in breakfast). Then they lunch by 2, then have a 2 hour siesta (nap) from 2 to 4 and then everybody goes back to their jobs until 8 or 9. It's a different lifestyle than USA.
Sono italiano ed è normalissimo inzuppare il cornetto ( cornetto , non brioche) sul cappuccino . Solo inizialmente però perché poi il cappuccino te lo devi godere da solo
@@YeshuaKingMessiah it is an Italian cornetto , not a French croissant, the shape is very similar but the preparation, the ingredients and the flavor are different
@@dalehoward3704 No difference, it's just the Italian translation of the french name. Another difference can be that in Italy, especially in the South is almost impossible finding a patisserie using real good quality butter in any pastry or dessert. Mostly will be industrial margarine or, in Naples sometimes , pork fat. The favorite fillings in Italy are Apricot or peach jam, Nutella, custard. Often is not real puff pastry either but an hybrid between a puff pastry and a brioche dough and this is definitely an Italian cornetti characteristic. Good Danish pastries can still be found in Italy, just not easily in the original version.
@@dalehoward3704 there's a massive difference between the two. Cornetto has less butter and therefore less flakiness. cornetto is generally sweet, not overwhelmingly so, though! it usually comes with different fillings, whether the croissant has a neutral flavour that allows it to be eaten with sweet or savoury things according to your preference.
Based on the Italians I know, the true Italian breakfast is a coffee so strong it can cause physical harm, and a cigarette whilst sat on your balcony or doorstep.

Real Italian b-fast at home is dark-roasted coffee with or without a splash of milk, with plain white toast with jam and butter. Sometimes a warmed-up slice of panettone during Nov-Dec, or fried or boiled egg. Lived in Padua for almost a year until late Jan 2020 - before the world turned sideways.

In Argentina, the majority are half Italian/half Spaniard immigrant. We have the coffee and pastries for breakfast as well. So much dulce de leche.
