I take Wat to the Mark Wiens Bangkok restaurant called Phed Mark. Mark Wiens is a famous UA-camr and food vlogger based in Thailand.

Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and are expecting our third child in a few weeks. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 6 years.
Wat and I have owned several businesses together on Maenam walking street in Koh Samui. Right now our restaurant Lilikoi Bistro is closed but we will let you know when we reopen.

I am american, husband is laotian/thai. Spicy food has amazing health benefits! Laotian eat a little more spicy than thai. Once you get used to it, you crave it!!

As a Thai, I completely agree with P'Wat. Mark Wiens spice tolerence is out of this world! I would say he can handle spice better than 90% of us Thais.

some people are spice addicts... we love spice in the uk and often eat extremely hot curries... i totally understand Mark Weins with his spice obsession. i live in france now where spice just doesn't exist and i find the food so boring here... Take a little sugar after spicy food and it reduces the hot reaction. That was painful for all of us. No dare to try it here. We don’t want the new baby affected too. Poor unsuspecting baby.

The mild spicy kills me. My oldest daughter would have loved Wat’s dish. One restaurant around here offers a Nashville hot chicken that is so spicy you have to sign a waver to eat it. That’s the one she gets. 😳 Her mother-in-law is Thai and she makes my daughter super spicy dishes. I can’t even touch the tip of my tongue to them without intense pain…of course, I’m a spice wimp.I also get hiccups like you, Lilly. Wat did good because that looked like a dish of hot chilies with a dash of beef. 🤪
I am Thai and I can’t eat spicy food even now (a middle age). 🤣🤣 Every order is “NO CHILI AT ALL”. Sometimes I feel so embarrassed ordering “no 🌶 “ that I said to the cooks “this is for my young nieces/ nephews”. I HAVE NO NIECE. Lol. 😅
