Some useful information here, but left out a very key point. THERE IS A SCREW THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE YOU CAN TAKE OUT THE PLATE THAT HOLDS THE FILTER IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I struggled for about 10 minutes before I noticed the screw which you obviously removed before filming. Not a good thing to leave out folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for informing us. The screw was not installed because the last installer had not put it back. We will take note and do a better job in the future.
You make the best videos for replacing these filters that are easy, to the point and the best camera angle so we can see what's going on. Thanks for that. Also you have great prices. Will be ordering all filters from you starting today with a 3 pack.
I own a 2017 Nissan Rogue & I didn't know where the filter was at. I know with some of the Rogues I know that the filter can either be on the driver side or on the passanger side. But thank you now I can change my filter or at least check to see if it's dirty.
how to do you make sure after pinching filter is get back to original geometry at the further upper left corner and seal rectangular filter opening properly. I think it is a major flaw in Nissan design. part wich very important and gets replace once a year in such bad location.
I agree this is a poor design. When inserting one of our filters it will fan back into its shape. Pulling a little in the bottom corner that is facing out of the housing helps it pop into place. You just need to make sure you install in the correct orientation.
I don't understand does the filter sit horizontal or vertical inside? When you pull the filter out it seems to be vertical but when it's replaced it seems to be horizontal.
Since the housing door is smaller than the filter you have to pinch the middle and insert the filter in a clock wise motion. When the filter is finally installed you want the harder sides that don't bend to be vertical.
Your cabin air filter housing is at the left corner of the passenger side footwell. Follow the side panel seen in the first clip until it ends at the rear of the footwell, you will find your filter housing here. Hope that helps!
Just think the dealership charges $49 to $99 bucks. I tested them I brought the car in for an oil change and they of course brought out the cabin filter telling me it need changing. I tried to give them the new since the old was out. Ha no way, they put the old back in!!! I'm not going back there.
The cabin air filter installation should be the same as the video on this page. For further assistance you can send us a photo of what you are seeing to sales@filterheads.com
Passengers side.. To the back of the center console.. Where your left foot would rest. If seated with legs stretch out. It should be in line with your pinky toe. Remove the plastic trim. Just popped it out.. Its just some clips.. Its all the way to the firewall.. It's a headache to put back in.. I don't know what Nissan was thinking. Its the worst place I've seen a cabin filter
My question is why could Toyota and Honda make it so easy to replace their cabin filters through the glove box but Nissan continues to make it so you have to be a contortionist with small hands to replace theirs🤬
Who was the knucklehead engineer who thought THIS was a great place to put the stupid cabin air filter??? One of the reasons why I am convinced manufacturers design cars in such a way that most people will have to pay to have things replaced. #nevernissan
Its all about making money of poor people.2017 model Rogue there is a screw to open cabin filter cover...after so many videos finally found it.Nice engineering .Ipaid 120 dollars at Nissan dealer my last visit.

You're welcome!
The arrow shows up when i take out the old nissan oem filter. Which way an aftermarket one go? Isnt suppose to be same way?
The air flow arrow should be towards the rear of the vehicle.
2:25 I'm confused. Do you mean arrow towards the front. I consider rear vehicle to be towards the backseat. I consider front towards the headlights
I have a 2017 Nissan Rouge where is the cabin air filter located exactly?

Bought cabin filter for 2017 Nissan rouge .. How do you remove the passenger side panel ?
The housing door is not behind the panel it is further up past the side panel under the glove box.

If they already removed the filter from your car then you shouldn't be charged for labor.
Those people in the dealership there's bunch ripped people off out their packet I'm face the same not anymore 🤨
Having trouble locating the cabin air filter in the 2018.
What is the make and model of your vehicle?

I do not know why but it is a poor design.
First show who to get to the filter….how to remove the covers
The cabin air filter is on the passenger side. It is on the left underneath the glovebox. You may want a light and pliers to pull out the old filter.
