Nice job.. a very helpful video. A filter wheel is a great option for OSC... if you are feeling a bit adventurous you could drop a s2 filter in that last slot. CS!
Thank you, James. That’s exactly what I’m planning for the empty slot in this filter wheel. I guess I can do SHO images with Optolong L-eXteme and S2 filters.
Enjoy watching your videos, always great work! And I have subscribed! Question with backspacing. I have an identical setup except my mount is an EQ6R Pro. The backspacing measurement I understand but I noticed on the field flattener it is dialed out a distance, what is the distance you are using?
Hi Paul, thanks for watching and the Sub. I’m glad the the videos are useful. On my setup, the flattener is currently set at 35mm distance to make up the 62mm back focus recommended by ZWO. I’m using l-eXtreme filter. This distance changes a few mm in or out when I change the filter. I hope this info is helpful. Clear skies!
Thanks for watching! The distance is measured from the surface of camera and then 6.5mm is added. This is because the sensor is roughly that much inside the surface of camera. Hope this I do is helpful. Cheers!!
Nice demonstration of setting up the filter wheel for OSC use and then hooking the whole setup together.
Thanks for your kind words. Really appreciate it.
Nice video of the installation process.
Thanks.
I see you have a filter flattener, and I believe without a spacer between the camera and the EFW you will have back-focus issue. Thanks for the video.
Thanks! I’m glad you liked the video. Cheers!!
Nice presentation 👍🏼.
Thanks.
Excellent
Thanks.

@@AstroCrescent thank you sir, much appreciated and keep the videos coming
The measurement on the tape measure at 6:25 shows 49mm not 56mm?
