Thanks! I'm glad the video is helpful. You do not need ASIAIR but if you get one, it will be helpful and saves lots of effort. Just make sure that the make and model of your DSLR is compatible with ASIAIR. I cannot speak about iOptron Skyhunter as I have not used it. In any case, find a mount that fits your budget....it's a hobby anyways. Cheers!!

Thanks for your detailed question. Answers below: 1. Yes, You can use ASIAIR just as a power hub and keep using your laptop software for mount control and image acquisition. 2. In my version go GT 71, the mounting holes are on left and right sides. The two screw type things in the centre are non-removable rivets. You might want to check on your scope carefully. @@AstroCrescent Not in my case. It goes back to the beginning of the alignment procedure. Once I did the alignment three times and gave up. the loop never ends.

@@srdjanmax happened to me to, try switching the alignment stars you use. I was in that loop your talking about and once I switched stars it worked fine, also try and choose the stars closest to the top of the list.

You might get between 0.5 and 0.8 on AM5 mount. I did try the 60mm guidescope on my AVX and it was between 0.8 and 1.00. Thanks and Cleese Skies!!

I removed the bracket for view finder scope and then installed a simple all purpose dovetail bracket. You can easily get it from your local telescope dealer or from Amazon. Clear Skies!!
