"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."
You can see why everyone there loves you. We all do.
Good on you mate.
Thanks buddy 😊
The last km is the most motivating thing I have seen!!! Congrats, you deserve everything you achieved and (for sure) will achieve
That was insane. You rock in the field. Congratulations bro. Keep sharing this to your fans
Post more videos like this...the race footage was awesome 👏
Thanks 😊 coming another video this evening or tomorrow morning 👊🏻
😲Can someone please pinch me? Thats amazing. Also Gustav and Casper were amazingly fast. Lets look in the future. I think we see here the consecutive winners of Kona after the retirement of Frodo in 2022. 😊
@Triatha Sam It´s not? Well, I am from Germany and I know, that he is 10 sec. faster than the actual german Champion. And Kristian is a triathlet, not a specialist in running.
Isn’t this significantly faster than the women’s world record for 5000m?
20 seconds faster
So we're comparing to women now? lol I mean they're fast as hell but men in the same competitive field would always be faster.
@@mav3ric100 lol shut up, its just a little comparison to get to know how fast it is.
@@adrianlloret333 lol just pulling your tail
I do it on the road bike😅😉
😅
13.51 for a rolling course like this is crazy, amazing!
And a dead turn around.
I have followed you in triathlon races for the last couple years. You sharing your trainings, competitions and life with us gives us true insight of what you have to go through to be successful in this sport. You are. Just realized that you are a totally different person that I expected. Not only you take the time to answers questions on social media from mere mortals like me but you are super cool. Keep it up!!!!
Who knew watching people run at that speed coul be so therapeutic
Facts
That kick in the last leg of the race was fire man, hell of an athlete.
And there I am proud of my 28 minute 5k hahahahahah
Mine 34 lol but im 20kg overweight
I started off with a 32 minute 5k got down to a 22min after about half a year its just time and a process of consistency too you can do it too!
@@faisalhussain4486 Congrats man!
Mine about 17.30
If it’s your maximal efforts, you should be proud really!
Omg - That's insane good run - only 23 seconds away from Jakob Ingebrigsten and a norwegian record :P Gratulerer fra Danmark
That was my first thought too
Yeah and it wasn't even a flat course. Simply outstanding!
That is a huge different
23 sec is much
@@a.d.26 Not when you take into account the course. If he ran on the same course the Ingebrigsten's ran on he would have been much closer.
I’m calling it this is channel is going to blow up
That’s an amazing time!!
I’ve seen professional races that have finished slower than your time today!
Reckon with a better course you could go sub 13:40
Makes my 24 minutes 45 seconds 5k PB look a little sick! But then again I did not start running until this year...at the age of 55!
That's faster than the women's world record by 20 sec 😱
and it is not exactly flat...
It's almost a minute faster actually. That wasn't exactly a 5000m on the track, you should be looking at the road 5k world records.
Landyn Cooke-Bithrey that's even more impressive!!!
@@lucyherbert5437 Yeah!!!!
Also they’re not women
I thought this video would be like a quick "Ok there you go 5K" instead a whole race! Thank you for that & this channel gonna blow up!
Amazing achievement. Puts into perspective Eliuds ridiculous sub 2hr marathon. Average of 14:15 per 5km!
I'm glad to see you have the same schedule as me Kristian....bike to the race......run(albeit a lot quicker) ......and bike home.......awesome.
Definitely my favorite triathlete in the world. Amazing time! Congrats
Idk why I thought that this was a woman that ran this time based off the thumbnail, I was like omg the first woman to run sub 14 😂
but nah awesome work dude
What a final!! You looks as strong as Laussane!! By the way, everyone with Nike Vaporfly 😱😱😱 EVERYONE! lol
Haha yeah that’s the shoes to run in ( until you can get your hands on the alphafly ) 😅
💥 My Best 16:40 5k @ 46 Was Good… So Seeing 3 Minutes Faster Even @ 28 Unreal💥
My record is 18:23 but this is just impossible for me.
Just watched this race now and yes Kaland track is fast but run 13:51 is insane even there ... , hope that you keep good shape in 2023 even after US PTO cramps:), stay safe Blu
Dude that's insane! You should do a collab with the Ingebrigstens :-p
insane. You must have a jet engine in there. . .
Blu is in killer form right now, gonna be fun watching him race itu if he will stay in his form
How did you get that fast ? Did you start training as a kid. Amazing time. At what age did you start training
Swam as a kid. And started with triathlon when is was 14YO
@@kristian.blummenfelt Thanks, good to know
Pretty country
Fine video
Superb athlete
That was fantastic to watch. I didn't think I'd watch the whole race but it was fascinating and the camera angle really gave a sense of the pace and footspeed which was incredible! Can't wait to see you race some triathlon again.
Yeah can’t wait to start doing swim bike run again!!!!!!!!
I just love to watch these videos! There are very well edited and as everybody can agree, Kristian and Gustav are great human beings. Keeping my thumbs up for you in St. George!
I think you are in 13'40" shape. Need a couple more races to get there.....))
Well, I must admit that I didnt really "like" you but once I came across your UA-cam channel, I have completely changed my opinion. As Neil shannon said, you seem to be a very nice guy and I´m impressed. Congrats champ.
They are running at my top speed which i can only do for 100m
Morning office motivation
☕️ 👌🏻
Those 9 dislikes were from his triathalon competition😂😂
Dang that's so fast only a couple seconds from Jakob 5k Norwegian time
CoRe Omega 30 seconds off...
22 or so, but he can go way faster than that. His splits from that race 7:00-6:29 shows that with a quicker first half it will be significant faster
Man..you should go for Olympics in the future. That's a world class finish.
Andddd 1 year later , he won the gold medal . Amazing
You look especially lean these days. That was so fast, on a course like that too. I really hope to see you race ITU this year.
Would love to do some triathlons soon!!!
This guy is elite. He lives for that. Period!
โหดแท้ ฝรั่ง
I heard from David Nilsson that another Swedish runner Olle Walleräng did 13.50 at a 5k road race some 10 years ago. If you can beat that you're the man.
I Love this Video (all of yours, of course), but this one especially, because of 2 things: 1. Seeing you running in narrow, rolling streets with a pace of 2:46 per k gives me an imagination, how fast the sub 2 pace from Kipchoge was in Vienna! Because of the wide, flat street with all of his windbreakers arround, the pace of 2:50 per k wasn´t that fast "to watch"......2. you can see, how important a good and solid Core stability is affecting the fast running pace. Your opponent of the last few hundred meters, was really not a slow runner, BUT when it comes to the finish sprint, he seemed to be falling appart, he nearly fall over and you just kept going like the first 4.6 ks. Impressive! Keep on posting Videos and thank you for the work and the love you put inside. Greetings from Germany..............
I always enjoy seeing Kristian run. He has such an a-typical body for an elite runner and somehow that makes me happy to see.
The fastest 5k runner i know is only 5 seconds faster than this and is the commonwealth half marathon champion....
In 4 years he's bulked up a huge amount. Wonder what his bodyweight difference is, 5kg at least?
Contratulations, very impressive. It would be very cool if tried to race in NM friidrett one time.
You took his fk'in soul at @15:57 !!! Well done Kristian !
Insane!!!!
16:59 did Marius, white shirt, make a mistake? looks like he thought the finish line was here 16:59
Can we make a UA-cam channel together?
Wow that's outstanding
I can’t believe he’s a triathlete. That was a pace few runners would scoff at.
so many next%
Your my bet for Olympic gold. Your a machine.
💪🏽💪🏽🔥
He did it, the Olympic Gold. Much respect from Tanzania
Surely on a flat track you’re taking at least 30 seconds off that time. I broke 20mins the first time a few weeks ago with 19:28, might one day get to sub 15:00.
that was totally flat...
4:47 mile pace???? Geebus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how fast do you think you could run in the track? close to 13:35/40?
I guess in the neighbourhood around there yeah
Im getting tired of watching this, mate what a fcking engine do you have?
Awesome stuff man, congrats. Insane actually. This was at a blazin 4:27/mile pace. What’s your mile time?
Never ran a mile. I do believe I can brake the 4min, but “just” it. I’m struggling with the speed when it’s faster than that. Think the other way is better, 10 and 21k
Is it the Nike Alphafly 2?
Wow! That is just amazing!
Nice job man! See you stepped up in video quality. Filmed with an iPhone or what? Tried looking at reflection from cycling glasses :D
correct, iPhone
@@kristian.blummenfelt Really great looking footage from an phone, have to do some research myself i see :) Thanks for you answer and be well!
Just bought a Sony rx100 7 so hopefully I will be able to step up the quality a bit over the summer.
Hello, I am an Argentine athlete, I hope you understand my English, very good times in 5 kilometers, I have 14:32 and we keep adding for more, but I am 15 years old and I have been running too long for 2 years.
That’s an impressive time for such a young age !! You are only running right? Not doing triathlon?
not only dedicate myself to running because my coach does not stop me from running more than 5km because of my age, what do you think of that vs. is it right or wrong?
This guy deserves a fictional character figure:
1. doing some bike intervals to warm up to all 5k effort
2. for breakfast makes a shake of red bulls and double expresso
3. pinning his race bib to his skin
4. ..... fill the next
He's crazy loll
Haha 🤣
Uau, nice, congratulations, Kristian, champion!! 👽👣💪🏆🥇
100 meter gain wtf haha
this place is beautiful! where is this??
Just outside Bergen 👌🏻
Very impressive!
The guy in last position during the first kilometer has a really nice form!
Just think about the fact that Kamworor runs a little bit faster than this for 21.1k....
Kipchoge did this for 42km 😱😱
Verdi K bwabwa Kipchoge was a little bit slower than that
That’s fast good job
Incredible time on that course, looking forward to seeing you back racing triathlons.
I cannot comprehend what people like you are capable of.
Norway have two (at least) of the most impressive athletes in the world between you and Ingebrigtsen
Damn thats crazy👌👌
@3:00 😜😜
😅
Wowwww super bro keep it up
What his personal best on track?
14:22 from training on a winter day in 2016
Viking power!!!
That was an amazing time! Super good race🥇🏆
Maybe that's what I need to do? A couple Red Bulls and an espresso before a race LOL fun video!
caffeine strategy lol. SMOKED EM lolol
I liked this video. Very fast running.
Amazing 🔝
Like to see it on a track though. Well known that distances in triathlon are not always proper 5 or 10k. Can we be sure road races are correct. The track stays the same, it's just my view please don't get upset anyone but when I see these running times on the track then I will be impressed too.
Und ich atme blut bei 20 min 😂
Amazing....
Kristian after 5k :😄😄😄
Me after 400m : 😩😩😩
Wow, nice. Its a shame, that we see in 2023 nothing about this. Wish you all the best.
🏃♂️🔥🔥🔥
That was insane. What are you Kristian...a machine?
Probably would have been closer to 13:45 without that lame hairpin turn at the halfway point.
the blumdozer...out in the wild :)
Very impressive run!!
When something is too good to be true....well..then it is.
looked like the other guy stumbled just as he was about to challenge with about 200 meter left and it took the stuffing out of him
Looked like he stumbled due to being too tired. You can see it in his steps just before.
What's this race called?God level runners?I think that is the case, because I have never seen so many exceptional runners in a competition. You guys are clearly aiming to break the world record. It is so inspiring. You guys should consider competing with the ingebrigtsen brothers,so that you guys break the world record together.
freaking fast! but that camera bike behind did some mental tactical work, only positive for Kristian
THE BEST!!!!
Love your work. Slow down on RBs a bit though. Good luck, great racing soon let’s hope.
