I have followed you in triathlon races for the last couple years. You sharing your trainings, competitions and life with us gives us true insight of what you have to go through to be successful in this sport. You are. Just realized that you are a totally different person that I expected. Not only you take the time to answers questions on social media from mere mortals like me but you are super cool. Keep it up!!!!
I just love to watch these videos! There are very well edited and as everybody can agree, Kristian and Gustav are great human beings. Keeping my thumbs up for you in St. George!
That’s an amazing time!! I’ve seen professional races that have finished slower than your time today! Reckon with a better course you could go sub 13:40
Just watched this race now and yes Kaland track is fast but run 13:51 is insane even there ... , hope that you keep good shape in 2023 even after US PTO cramps:), stay safe Blu
That was fantastic to watch. I didn't think I'd watch the whole race but it was fascinating and the camera angle really gave a sense of the pace and footspeed which was incredible! Can't wait to see you race some triathlon again.
I Love this Video (all of yours, of course), but this one especially, because of 2 things: 1. Seeing you running in narrow, rolling streets with a pace of 2:46 per k gives me an imagination, how fast the sub 2 pace from Kipchoge was in Vienna! Because of the wide, flat street with all of his windbreakers arround, the pace of 2:50 per k wasn´t that fast "to watch"......2. you can see, how important a good and solid Core stability is affecting the fast running pace. Your opponent of the last few hundred meters, was really not a slow runner, BUT when it comes to the finish sprint, he seemed to be falling appart, he nearly fall over and you just kept going like the first 4.6 ks. Impressive! Keep on posting Videos and thank you for the work and the love you put inside. Greetings from Germany..............
I cannot comprehend what people like you are capable of. Norway have two (at least) of the most impressive athletes in the world between you and Ingebrigtsen
Idk why I thought that this was a woman that ran this time based off the thumbnail, I was like omg the first woman to run sub 14 😂 but nah awesome work dude
I heard from David Nilsson that another Swedish runner Olle Walleräng did 13.50 at a 5k road race some 10 years ago. If you can beat that you're the man.
Huge congrats to you Kristian, really superb time, especially so given the route. I have noticed that around the world (except africa) since 2 or 3 years, the fastest road runners are basically all triathletes. Triathlon is such a fascinating sport that attracts every youth gifted for aerobic sports. By the way, i cracked up when i saw you kneeling on the tarmac at the end of the race, you should have kept the video 10 seconds longer, lol.
From France : Kristian, tu es mon idole.
What's this race called?God level runners?I think that is the case, because I have never seen so many exceptional runners in a competition. You guys are clearly aiming to break the world record. It is so inspiring. You guys should consider competing with the ingebrigtsen brothers,so that you guys break the world record together.
Well, I must admit that I didnt really "like" you but once I came across your UA-cam channel, I have completely changed my opinion. As Neil shannon said, you seem to be a very nice guy and I´m impressed. Congrats champ.
Amazing performance. Considering that you aren't purely focused on running, it is even more impressive. Since triathlon builds a fair amount of upper body strength, with means muscle, I wonder if that added weight slows triathletes down in pure running events?
Very impressive! The guy in last position during the first kilometer has a really nice form! Just think about the fact that Kamworor runs a little bit faster than this for 21.1k....
Thank you so much for doing those amazing UA-cam Videos! Love them and they are such a motivation for me! Definitely giving you a shoutout on Instagram, you deserve way more subscribers 🙌🏼😃
this is an insane pace, but it all comes with training. I run 5k in about 24 min, and i remember when runing 4k for me it was very hard and at slower paces than that. Its all about evolution. Very nice job
If it weren’t for the lake next to the racing route , I wouldn’t believe this course is mostly flat- the pace is crazy high, as if you are running downhill the whole time.
Like to see it on a track though. Well known that distances in triathlon are not always proper 5 or 10k. Can we be sure road races are correct. The track stays the same, it's just my view please don't get upset anyone but when I see these running times on the track then I will be impressed too.
"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."
You can see why everyone there loves you. We all do.
Good on you mate.
Thanks buddy 😊
13.51 for a rolling course like this is crazy, amazing!
And a dead turn around.

That kick in the last leg of the race was fire man, hell of an athlete.
Who knew watching people run at that speed coul be so therapeutic
Facts
I’m calling it this is channel is going to blow up
Omg - That's insane good run - only 23 seconds away from Jakob Ingebrigsten and a norwegian record :P Gratulerer fra Danmark
That was my first thought too
Yeah and it wasn't even a flat course. Simply outstanding!
That is a huge different
23 sec is much
@@a.d.26 Not when you take into account the course. If he ran on the same course the Ingebrigsten's ran on he would have been much closer.
The last km is the most motivating thing I have seen!!! Congrats, you deserve everything you achieved and (for sure) will achieve
I thought this video would be like a quick "Ok there you go 5K" instead a whole race! Thank you for that & this channel gonna blow up!
Definitely my favorite triathlete in the world. Amazing time! Congrats
I just love to watch these videos! There are very well edited and as everybody can agree, Kristian and Gustav are great human beings. Keeping my thumbs up for you in St. George!
I'm glad to see you have the same schedule as me Kristian....bike to the race......run(albeit a lot quicker) ......and bike home.......awesome.
That’s an amazing time!!

Yeah can’t wait to start doing swim bike run again!!!!!!!!
Amazing achievement. Puts into perspective Eliuds ridiculous sub 2hr marathon. Average of 14:15 per 5km!
I always enjoy seeing Kristian run. He has such an a-typical body for an elite runner and somehow that makes me happy to see.
This guy is elite. He lives for that. Period!
Makes my 24 minutes 45 seconds 5k PB look a little sick! But then again I did not start running until this year...at the age of 55!
Blu is in killer form right now, gonna be fun watching him race itu if he will stay in his form
Кристиан, это было круто! Ты мотивируешь. Спасибо, что ты есть.

What a final!! You looks as strong as Laussane!! By the way, everyone with Nike Vaporfly 😱😱😱 EVERYONE! lol
Haha yeah that’s the shoes to run in ( until you can get your hands on the alphafly ) 😅
Incredible time on that course, looking forward to seeing you back racing triathlons.
Amazing race! I follow both you and Marius on Strava, what a race to see you two competing in the end part. Congrats!
Dude that's insane! You should do a collab with the Ingebrigstens :-p
Incredible to see the race from that angle, great camera work! That pace was unbelievably fast!
And there I am proud of my 28 minute 5k hahahahahah
Mine 34 lol but im 20kg overweight
I started off with a 32 minute 5k got down to a 22min after about half a year its just time and a process of consistency too you can do it too!
@@faisalhussain4486 Congrats man!
Mine about 17.30
If it’s your maximal efforts, you should be proud really!
That's faster than the women's world record by 20 sec 😱
and it is not exactly flat...
It's almost a minute faster actually. That wasn't exactly a 5000m on the track, you should be looking at the road 5k world records.
Landyn Cooke-Bithrey that's even more impressive!!!
@@lucyherbert5437 Yeah!!!!
Also they’re not women
Pretty country

Loving these films! Incredible time! Congrats Kristian 💪

Richard Murray from South Africa ran a 13:37 the other day.. But not on such an undulating course

Very good work, Кristian. Greetings to you from Russia! 🇷🇺🇧🇻
Contratulations, very impressive. It would be very cool if tried to race in NM friidrett one time.
freaking fast! but that camera bike behind did some mental tactical work, only positive for Kristian
Your my bet for Olympic gold. Your a machine.
💪🏽💪🏽🔥
He did it, the Olympic Gold. Much respect from Tanzania
My favourite WTS athlete! Get in there
Great race,14:15 is the time I got watching this video as the race began at 3:07 and the first guy passed the finish line in 17:22 ❤
Guess it’s because on the last 800m or so you can see that double footage for some meters. So it’s not just filmed from the bike
You took his fk'in soul at @15:57 !!! Well done Kristian !
Wow! That is just amazing!

In 4 years he's bulked up a huge amount. Wonder what his bodyweight difference is, 5kg at least?
Very impressive!
The guy in last position during the first kilometer has a really nice form!
Just think about the fact that Kamworor runs a little bit faster than this for 21.1k....
Kipchoge did this for 42km 😱😱
Verdi K bwabwa Kipchoge was a little bit slower than that
insane. You must have a jet engine in there. . .
Crazy race!!! Great time...Thanks for posting 👍 motivational
Back is lookin strong .. keep it up homie, Super Fast!
Pure power, kristian you are beast.
Maybe that's what I need to do? A couple Red Bulls and an espresso before a race LOL fun video!

Amazing well done.What a race !
What a good race! Your surge at the end was awesome.
Very impressive run!!
You look especially lean these days. That was so fast, on a course like that too. I really hope to see you race ITU this year.
Would love to do some triathlons soon!!!
Insane!!!!
Unreal!
I liked this video. Very fast running.
That was insane. You rock in the field. Congratulations bro. Keep sharing this to your fans
Extraordinary effort. Awesome race coverage. Thanks for sharing!
Nice job man! See you stepped up in video quality. Filmed with an iPhone or what? Tried looking at reflection from cycling glasses :D
correct, iPhone

Insane performance kristian!
An epic finish...Triathlon power!
Love your work. Slow down on RBs a bit though. Good luck, great racing soon let’s hope.
How did you get that fast ? Did you start training as a kid. Amazing time. At what age did you start training

Think most of us are itching for getting back to racing as soon as possible!!!!! Can’t wait
@@kristian.blummenfelt So maybe another 20 secs quicker on a track ?
@@gourami7 I aint sure how much you gain by going on the track or not... but as you can see on the video: not an ideal course for fast running
This is amazing! Insane speed! Could you share your tips how to run faster 5K? How to get below 20 mins, I am really struggling with it
Training endurance! 5k isn’t about “speed” but about capacity
