Love how you wrap your trees. I need a job and I'll buy all the same materials... one day. We got down to single digits in Washington state I think all my trees made it.
Looks good man. I just unwrapped mine today also. It had tip burn where there was no supplemental heat as well. Mine looks about like yours in the 2019 picture. Good video!
@tntropics no,you didn't say 75.I assumed they are 2.5watt per light like the ones I have, which would give 75watt total.but I see your lights are 4watts per light.thank you for your response.
@@pawelelektryk2985 No problem Yes I mainly use GE String A long mini Lights .4 watts each (.4 x 100)=40. Similar to these but you can buy at Lowes/Home Depot for $4 each in November/Dec www.christmaslightsetc.com/p/100-Clear-Mini-Christmas-Lights-4-inch-Spacing-Green-Wire--15199.htm
Looking good Allen! I unwrapped my Butia the other day too - I think the advantage of having them open now while it’s nice outweighs the disadvantage of having to rewrap again once or twice more.
Yes but be careful these butia rot easy in wet cold especially smaller ones under 3 feet. I have seen many people lose them. I am very carefully looking at temps and this year we may get away with it but it can change year to year. Any ice/rain under 25F or so on a small one I'd wrap it and I would preventative copper a butia regardless. Dry cold under 20F
Awesome stuff! Those palms are lucky to have you as their owner!
Thanks

Glad i did I think I would have had some large dead ones at -6F

Butia rośnie u ciebie jak na drożdżach 🤩 rewelacja u nas w Polsce nie widziałem zeby tak rosły szybko 👍

Allen what was the indication of your fungus problem. You obviously saw something you didn’t like
Thanks Mike western nc
It has some fungus on fronds where it is bunched up around spear and stays wet
looking good! so 3 strands of 100 mini lights is 75 watts of heat?
They are 40 watts each strand. Did I say 75 in the video? So 120watts

What are you using that you refer to as tree wrap, to tie up the fronds?
Thanks for the question. It is a form of easy tying tie tree rope. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N2T6IKO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
