Hey John, Thanks for the “FREE” lesson! From your cool,calm manor and precise execution I was able to recognize an error in my bank game. Went down stairs and hit a few bank shots, on my 5 X 10 table,----nailed ‘em! Thanks John and Jim.
A friend lent me this DVD. Honestly a lot of the shots they aren’t even talking about what they are doing. I thought we would get to see the guy taking a lesson with a John. Kind of disappointed and happy I didn’t pay for it. If you just want to watch two guys playing banks then you’ll be happy.
totally clean as in not hitting other balls before they go in. If the pocket accepts the ball even after skimming a rail or the pocket corners, that is clean.

He was lining up a cross side bank on the 8 and then they switch to a corner bank???
Not really a lesson. Just John (a great player) making banks.
Is the object ball allowed to hit the rail like that right before going in?... 4:44 I thought the shots had to be totally clean?
Also, on 5:08, it hits the rail before going in.
Hitting a rail adjacent to the intended pocket is considered clean.
