Colts said Carlie’s is lb and Simpson is cb and the lineman are pretty much all positions on the line and Gould is returner as well so a lot switching and flexibility is I guess the goal
Colts finally adding speed
@@ZuluGamingSeries I feel like they usually draft either the fastest rb, wr, or db such as Hines Campbell or Isaiah rogers and jt was also the fastest player in his draft too but they are getting speed with guys that also produce so his philosophy has changed for sure
Ghould was drafted primarily as a kick returner. The new kickoff rule will make kick returner more important this year in terms of field position.
Goncalves was drafted as a long-term guard prospect with positional flexibility to back up multiple positions in the short term. I think the Colts really liked him as a Swiss Army knife who could dress and replace an injury anywhere on the line, except maybe center. He adds more flexibility to the roster. I think that's that's why the Colts coveted him enough to trade up for him.
Gould can be another hilton
@@stephentrader9142 Or another Isaiah McKenzie, since that's whose role he's replacing.
Been waiting for this one all day! Finally!!!
Thank you for posting
Guess you missed out on the interview with the head coach and GM. You should've watched that before making the video lol. They already have the ideas on what they want to do with these players. Also it sounded like more people were interested in Gould than Mitchell.
Abraham dad was a great cb and his cousin is Tim Jennings who used to play for colts
Must be a great feeling to get a draft call when you are projected undrafted
Matt G. deserves the pick, I think you may not understand it because you didn't do the deep dive.
Bro u think he has more upside than Will Fries? I feel like thats who he here to replace
Do you think Pitts line coach coming to colts influenced the Matt pick?
He probably vouched for him. But also I had mocked him to the Colts later. He's a good player. PFF said with the run on tackles he was the best on the board at the time
As A colts Fan I’m starting it now 12 Wins or bust. we have the schedule and Ballard is clearly Telling everybody that he can win a Super Bowl with *GUS BRADLEY* so 12 games should be EASY
This Colts draft was so boring I'm only interested in knowing how you bolded those words. Colts did NOT get instantly better, at all.
@@dabneyoffermein595 but we have an easy schedule and your telling me Anthony Richardson isn’t better then Gardner and that dosent automatically win 10 games this late in the regime?
@@dabneyoffermein595 The Colts' first 2 picks were some of the best in the draft. If that is boring to you, what draft did you watch?
@@dabneyoffermein595 Didn't get instantly better??
*Latu?!* *AD?!* *Oline Depth?!* *Elite returner?!*
I think it's crazy to say the Colts didn't get better.
@@M98747 Instantly meaning Day 1 starter, just add water instant Quaker Oats style. Will take an Edge 6 games to acclimatize.
VERY ODD-ball draft. Oh, that's right, it's another Ballard draft. Then Ballard does this weird rant with an even weirder hairstyle. And just for good measure, Ballard wants us to know it's HIS DRAFT and he acquires a bunch of players who have questionable injury / medical condition history. And Gonclaves, wth was that pick?
You seem overly negative bro. Relax.
@@theblakex did you not look at where these players ranked up on his board?
Ballard missed out on Montez Sweat in the draft because of medical concerns. He wasn’t making that mistake again and especially with a guy that has played 2 full seasons after that neck injury without missing a game. The doctors who medically retired him didn’t even give him a in-person physical because of COVID. Gonsalves was a projected 2nd rounder before missing this season. You should really do research before commentating.
@@dantelabella9753 I am very aware of Sweat, it was pretty irritating passing on him. Redskins got a gift. There are many players in this draft who either have concerning medical conditions or injuries. It's the Ballard way. I already knew about all of them... Toe problems, neck issue, and the rest.......I understand that you are defending this draft class and Ballard, and that's ok, you are probably a die-hard colts fan. But so am I and we go yet again without a division title, when is it coming? Is this draft class and off-season acquisitions going to take us to the next level? Signing in-house guys is important but it's ho-hum here we go again, while division foes are stockpiling. I will be happy as a lark is Latu has 2024 pressure & sack production
@@dabneyoffermein595 im the biggest Ballard hater. You can go around and look at all my comments. This is finally the right move. He finally changed his approach to drafting, instead of getting a freak athlete, he got someone who actually produced in college. I was beating my head against a wall after that Kwity Paye pick, absolutely 0 production in college and drafted him on mere athleticism. I’ve been complaining about his approach to drafting athletic freaks with no college production for years.
