- Jeff with @barnandhome did an install of a Sunlighten Infrared Sauna for a client just to do him a favor. After watching several videos online produced by Sunlighten, it seems appropriate to show people the ACTUAL install work they should prepare for. Just getting the parts out of the box was as much work and hassle as putting the pieces together.
The best recommendation is to have 3 people work together in the unboxing and carrying to wherever you plan to place the unit.
Also, our door glass (tempered glass) broke and our client had to order a new one.
If you are purchasing one of these sauna kits for your house, this long boring video will show you the reality of unboxing and putting one together. This video also serves as a helpful sleep time aid, or if you absolutely have nothing else to do for the next 18 minutes, just dive in!
All the other videos online are missing a key element and seem rather staged.

Did you consider cutting the side of cardboard box off rather than pulling the panels from the side?
The intuitive thing is to lay it down on its side, but the box says not to do that. If you have a third person, you could have one person hold everything up, and then maybe cut the side off. I made the video this long to show how ridiculous it was just getting the pieces out of the box!
Did you plug it into a dedicated circuit? I’ve got a 20 amp circuit in the garage on a 20amp GFI outlet but there are a couple other receptacles coming off it and a porch light.
They just swapped the outlet style and plugged into the wall. I’m not sure what was on that circuit tbh
How long did it take total?
Probably 2 and a half hours. 40 minutes just getting it unboxed
