It's difficult to play golf when your body hurts . I was a scratch in my early fourties (all be it in much easier courses) When I hit 50 my psoriatic arthritis condition made it a painful experience more often than not. I could make swings without hitting a ball but every time I hit a ball it was painful.. so extremely at times I had a hard time walking up the fairway to make the next shot. When I finally gave up the game I was a 4. The last round I played I had to get a golf cart on the last hole to get to my car. I shot 76 but was in so much pain on last hole I bunted it up the fairway for a 1 putt bogie. Pain meds just made me nauseous and dizzy. I quit. I miss the game but you have to accept your limitations and live with them
I am glad that I was able to watch Tiger from his early amateur days onward. As a golfer I recognized the amazing talent that he had. Thanks Tiger
