Tiger Woods makes his season debut as the PGA TOUR plays its first official event in Japan at the inaugural ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP. Woods is back in action after a knee operation, just weeks before he leads the U.S. Team at the Presidents Cup in Australia. Reigning FedExCup champion Rory McIlroy, along with former FedExCup champions Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth and local star Hideki Matsuyama join the field at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club. This is McIlroy's first PGA TOUR start since his victory at the TOUR Championship in August where he won the FedExCup and was named Player of the Year. Can he get off to a winning start in Japan?

PGA. Please take a note from the responses and understand this is exactly what we want. Not 3 minute “ highlight” videos
Mason Kisamore 3 minute Highlight Horseshit is a better description
Amen.
YA, that's pretty thru. Good idea. :D

OMG He nailed it!! Look at the views!!!
But seriously as someone who makes videos this is really a great gift from the channel, this definitely took several hours to put together and they did it amidst the criticism they've been getting lately. Hopefully, this is just the start of bringing the channel back to greatness. It isn't the editors' fault; it's no coincidence the highlights were brought down to 2-3 minutes once they started rolling out the full round highlights on pga tour live. Glad to see at least some of the restrictions are being lifted.
It’s flat out embarrassing for them to put this together, which is indeed is a lot of hard work, but they forget about every single winner not named Tiger. I can’t give them a pass until they do it consistently. ET puts up a winners round two or three hours after the event, regardless of their name.
@@1b0o0 It's a step in the right direction though. And don't expect this type of video every week (49 minutes) because it takes the editor many hours to go through all the broadcast footage and get this together. But I agree, if we could start getting full highlights again for the winners and any other low rounds that got significant coverage, I think the channel would start getting more viewers.
Álvaro Ybáñez (
Gus this is why I subscribe to your channel. You seem like a straight-up great guy.
Eh? I mean, the video is long, but the editing is extremely basic. Which is fine, as I don't think you need to add effects and a bunch of crazy transitions. But the editing itself is very basic. They have the live broadcast video. All they need to do is record every Tiger shot then place it in the medium.
Are we not going to talk about the fact that Tiger started the week with three straight bogeys...and still won the tournament? 🐐
Everyone was talking about that you donut
And nearly blew the field out in old tiger fashion no less.
45 y/o, knee and back all messed up. 10:50 he hits an effortless 8-iron 194 yards out of the rough to within a few feet. Amazing. GOAT.
Beast!
There we go! This is what we deserve every week! Please do this for every winner at each tournament and we would be very happy. 👏 A great way to study ways to win a tour event!
Make more birdies than everyone else and make fewer mistakes than everyone else. That's how you win 🙂👍
@@zackglover7126 for sure! but there are many ways to do just that
TGCdesign Sverige totally agree 👍🏼
unfortunately they won't. That will hurt the revenue from pgatour live. People will just watch the highlight instead of subscribing
@@houkuanchoi2223 depends... If their favourite player doesn't win, then they can't watch. Does not ruin their product
When Tiger is at his best, he makes the game seem effortless. Absolutely unbelievable. He definitely has his lows, but the highs are like none other.
49 minute video from the PGA? Did I wake up in an alternate universe today or something???
The Weekend Hack thinking the exact same thing. Must be a mistake.
@@kacolorado had to be a mistake. Someone probably lost their job
you're in the tigerverse baby! enjoy!!
I swear to god 😂😂
He's gonna come back again. Pray for him
He will!
@@real_canadian_everything It confirms that Tiger will do ANYTHING to swing that golf club ... it's like Bobby Fischer with Chess ... now, he has to just get well ... I dont care if he never swings a golf club again, he has to be here for Charlie, who is going to be one of the greats ... Tiger is not going to rob us of that third generation father-son hug after Charlie wins the 2029 Masters !
His injuries are really serious he cant come back
But we hope\
All praying for him 👏
YES, the content we have all wanted! I think I am speaking for the golf fanatics like me in the sense that we truly enjoy watching a full round unfold! We are patient enough to watch it! No need for short snippets like other sports...
This is What we been asking for! Even better! Thanks PGA Tour for listening on your true fans/followers 🙏🏻
I literally don’t give a rats arse about any other player. This man is bigger than golf, a rare individual.
I like Phil. But nah. My plumber is called Phil. Tiger tho... I don’t know any tigers personally

Just think of the many wonderful people in all walks of life whose contribution was only viewed by other people who could afford to watch them. No cameras, no video, no television. We are so lucky to have all this technology in our lives!
Watching this tournament at the time (after the first three holes) felt like rewinding the clock fifteen years. It felt like watching Tiger in his prime, an unstoppable juggernaut who was GOING TO WIN unless somebody else did something truly special-that they wouldn’t be able to duplicate the next week when Tiger was once again in contention.
Thank you "PGA Tour" for these highlights of TW...really appreciate you guys sharing these moments from Tiger's 82nd tour victory!!!
Amazing. Tiger starts his 82nd PGA Tour win with a hook into the water and three straight bogeys. Just goes to show how Perfection and "Consistency" in Golf is a complete myth and no need to overreact or get down over some mistakes. Awesome video content here!
Dear PGA. Every shot from every tournament Tiger plays from now on needs to be on video. We all need to be able to watch the tournament he beats Sam Sneads record in entirety. Thanks, Jay.

How has these comments aged for you guys? 3 year's later and Tiger still hasn't beat Snead's record.
Thank you editors for taking the time to give us such a quality video. With the time difference, it was difficult for many of us to stay up and watch live. We are appreciative 🙏🏾
Tiger Woods is the reason I love to watch golf, only to watch him use those irons and woods as an artist down the golf course.
I’ve been watching this man for 25 years. I’m gonna say this is probably one of his top 10 performances in a tournament. Just so in control
Thank you PGA!! Was dying to watch this but couldn't catch it live
Thanks PGA TOUR for finally posting something like this. Please post more of these shot-by-shot rounds in the future.
So who is the editing person that got fired?
Awesome video! Thank you for putting together and sharing! 82 for TW! Here’s to another major in 2020!
Tiger is simply the best golfer ever we love u from UK Mr. Wig. Is here to with amazing vlogs made in UK
@Mr. Wig...so Absolutely true!🐐🏌🏾♂️⛳🐅
Sandra E. you welcome I agree with u please subscribe to my channel I would be so grateful
Finally what we wanted! Thank you so much, PGA tour:)
You guys should make more of these "Every shot broadcasts..." with Tiger, from every time he tees it up. He won't be playing for 10 more years, we might get 3-5 years if we are lucky. We need to gather as much footage as possible, even from when he's not playng great!
Thank you!
I think there is more then enough coverage of Tiger. His face is plastered all over the internet. What more do you want?
Watching this again, I feel like the swing he had going from the 2018 PGA Championship through this tournament (and the President’s Cup) was the most fundamentally perfect swing he ever had in his career…just pure!
Put out videos like this on the regular. This is how you do it.
Tiger hitting 250 yards away from the flag

THIS IS THE CONTENT WE WANT RIGHT HERE FEED US
Is this real life? PGA tour editor, you deserve a medal
Daniel Valdez acourse this is why wouldn’t it be , you thought this might be a video game instead of real life, come on Daniel , PGA Tour wouldn’t put fake golf on the tube
Is it just me or is the Japanese audience miles better than the current 'murican one? No BABA-BOOOEY, just polite clapping.
I could literally watch these videos all day long. Actually I do, so keep em coming
YESSSSS THIS IS THE CONTENT WE NEED
Tiger single handedly took golf to a new stratosphere. The young golfers after him just weren't appealing to the millennials & GenZ. Turned an EZ alleyoop into a turnover
Yeah it appears that the "PGA Tour page" took the time to thoroughly read the comments and really responded this time! Excellent coverage, Well done!
This is GOLD! Would love more videos like this. Cheers!
I was there and followed him as much as I could.
That was the greatest memory on my life.
His shots, putts, everything aroud him was awesome and beautiful.
Thank you, Tiger.
BTW some of "IN THE HOOOLE" were mine with Japanese accent.
That’s a good memory to have 🔥
@@jamiestubbs49 He can't come to Japan this year ZOZO, and last year ZOZO might be last one in Japan because of Covid19.
So I never forget what I could see in there.
Wow im envious and id probably would be the guy either yelling get in the hole or MASHED POTATOES even though i hate hearing it on the tv cause why not? its fun
@@foreword_858 Zozo2019 was one of the best memory of my life, you wouldn't be calm during watching him closely, because its so fun!!
Arigato gosaimasita.
Finally a highlight video
That is quite remarkable. He won this tournament and his very first tee shot found the drink.
Tiger and PGA TOUR ありがとう。
Thank you for coming to Japan!!
That's for uploading this!
FINALLY! Now do this for every tournament!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS
He is the best shot maker on the PGA today.
Watched every second of it! 2024!
Like that double play back at 40:15 par 3 what a shot man
Fantastic video. So nice to watch his performance unfold in an unrushed manner. Great job!
When Tiger was on top back in the 00's it was like the scores you would put up in videogames lol.
keeping these kinda things on youtube attracts people to the game. keep it up pga
This is a great upload guys !
I couldn’t believe this was a 49 min video! Time just seemed to have quickly passed whilst watching this. Well played sir/s👏👏👏
Major kudos for this post. What a joy. TU!
I knew it.. 👏👏👏👏👏👏 lover to watch golf channel specially tiger is playing ❤️❤️❤️
Tiger is the GOAT. It’s over! 🐐🐐🐐
Greatest swinging of the golf club he has ever had is this period 2018-2020

Japanese gallery: GET IN THE HOLE
I love the Japanese gallery. They are so much more courteous and respectful. Just like the old days in America.
Not really sure what you mean. It's not like people are yelling while players putt. Plus Americans are obviously into it more and it's more intense. I think the majority of pga players would prefer the more excitable crowds. I mean as long as people aren't making noise while players swing it shouldn't affect the players. What do you been by courteous and respectful?
Agreed Corek
Thank for the videos
Tiger is still a legend no matter what ❤️
Really, I can't get enough watching Tiger in the hunt of a tournament and more so win.
So you cool to hear him say: once again.
This ending had me.
Awesome video!
This is amazing! Thank you
Great video
Brilliant! Please do this early!
This is awesome🍺 Thank You🍺
That was cool, do not have time to watch whole tournaments, love to see this become a weekly thing.. fantastic
why was there a huge gallery on day 1 but on day 2 theres nobody on the course?
Yeah that was weird as. Also that hole 10 was a 140 yard par 4 on that round, that really confused me
Damn, his old guy swing is textbook.
Thank you!
Great video I’m subbed now
Shout out to the tour getting a tournament in such a beautiful and culturally rich country as Japan. We need tour events in Argentina, New Zealand, Switzerland, and South Africa just to name a few.
Those places are too far to travel for the GOAT except maybe Argentina. I think he goes to Asia because of his mother.
@@marietaylor5174 He just travelled to Japan which is further than Argentina so I dont understand your point. He went to Asia because there was a new prestigious event there and that's the whole point of creating more of those in great locations where the fervor supporting these tournaments would be immense. Especially now since we have a wrap around schedule.
Who is here after Rick Shiels podcast with Tommy Fleetwood , that opening round is class !
Great content ! Thank you
Tiger Woods phenom! This is an incredible highlight reel of a master at their craft. Thank you.
Gotta love the enthusiasm of the Japanese crowd!
he hit right next to the crowd and its just "ooo" and "ahh", in the US, its loud screams and "bababooey"
Boring Japanese crowd
Congratulations for the excellent shampionship players Tiger. Get well soon after the recovery. God bless you and the family.
First thing I noticed about the Japanese is that they actually live in the moment and pay attention instead of being on their phones the whole damn time.
It's an Asian thing. They do the same in darts. The are all quiet and watching closely.
The G.O.A.T.! Can you imagine how many more wins/majors he would have if he hadn't faced so many long de-railing events in his career. The injuries, personal mishaps, covid shutdown, etc.. All at peaks in his career.
Editing guy you da real mvp.
Tiger's swing is so different from the prodigy days. But he can still win!!
I like how the sound is realistic on this one.
Guys... Tiger is great but would you just look at the crowd living in the moment, no phones out. Just them. And Tiger. Greatness.
After hole 3. Last 15 holes Tiger was -9 and missed a few aswell. Tommy Fleetwood told Rick Shiels it was easily the best golf he’d ever seen in his life. High praise indeed.
Started off the tourny in the water and giving the field a couple shot head start and still won.
Thats why tiger is a legend in golf
I really enjoy watching stuff like this very satisfying
I'm a simple man, when I see a Tiger prowling, I click.
WOW good job PGA TOUR.
Amazng that the crowds are so small, looks like a friendly!
This is what we talking about, a good highlight.
Now this is great stuff
Get well soon Tiger!!! We love you!
What an up and down master

BOAT. Best of all time.
Always nice to see the GOAT win.
재미있네요~
Tiger woods finally back in the PGA
Beloved all over the world, partly because he's been all over the world. And won.
Tiger has the skill to win even when he is not playing his best golf..........
How has that aged for you? Tiger hasn't won for a loooong time
