Lived in Hawaii in seventies eighties. I retired now and kids are gone. Wanting to move to Bali. Always wanted to go. Life happened.

What should I ride compared to my standard shortboard?
A 7,6midleangth pin pin tail. Turn in 3 foot to 15 foot. Can't loose with that. Paddle into small waves easy and paddle into big waves easy. You can't loose.
See those skegs kids. There alot bigger and wider then yours. Take note. I've always loved big fins on all my boards. I don't like skipping out or sliding when your not supposed to. SO much faster and carves deeper. That's my take.
