I was haggling Hue for the last 6 months to make an outdoor motion sensor that was by itself and could control any light or lights I wanted. I guess they listened!
Philips Hue light fixtures are way overpriced for what they are! In almost all cases, you could buy a standard light fixture and bulb/lightstrip and make it yourself. Consensus of the Hue subreddit is that their regular builds work fine in outdoor wall lights.

*All this and we are limited in the app still? No multi room scenes, control with the app to do simple tasks that we need third parties for?*

You are right it’s pricy but it works so well and the build quality is amazing
