    The mind with all its emotions and thoughts and personal ego are a wonderful tool to navigate the world. But our true nature is Consciousness/God.

    Legendary teaching Rupert. I love how you encourage us to go off with mind and then you tweak us just enough until the teaching is revealed to ourself. It's brilliant isn't it 😊

    Rupertsir. Thankyou for the lovely information on the subject of awareness and reality. I have been following your videos from long back and even Deepak sirs videos.
    One question that bothers me is why is the universal consciousness doing all this? I mean like localising itself through the finite mind and then we humans experience all the reality around us. But why? Is there some purpose of universal consciousness that we are solving by localising the universal consciousness? Why is all this being done by consciousness? Thankyou in advance.

      I too want answer to this biggest question - Why is consciousness localising itself as finite mind ?
      There must be some legitimate reason for this subject-object split...because this creates the beginning of mind & suffering...

      Rupert would say that the "why"-question and the cause which would be the answer to that question, is already part of the manifestation of consciousness. Consciousness itself only knows itself, has no knowledge of a purpose to solve. When we ask for such a "why" we put consciousness out there and us here. So by posing the "why"-question we invoke the subject-object split implicitly. In other words the split is not real, as it is us imagining that split when we question it. I feel this brings us to a total responsibility for all the suffering in the world. When we see how suffering brings itself into existence, has no other cause than itself, then it is one with the causeless being of consciousness itself. There is then the source of strength to carry the suffering lightly, which is the force which can end suffering, when we collectively share this connection with source. So, rather then asking why, perhaps the deeper purpose lies in undoing the illusory cause of suffering, the idea that suffering has a cause outside of itself? Or, we will know why, when the "why"-question is no longer posed?

      I seek refuge in God from the accursed devil the outcast satan and all his followers, may the believers and the light side destroy them, none are worthy of worship except God, none has the right to be praised except God, God is the Most Great, God is the Most Glorious, God is the Most Wise, there is no god or deity or divinity but God, God is the King and Protector and Lord and Light and Ruler and Controller of the heavens and the earth and everything in them.
      -------
      God isn't localized. God is everywhere and nowhere.
      If I were asked where God were located (if God were located somewhere), I wouldn't point my finger at a human being or his finite mind (his head in that case) as you ridiculously propose, but I would point my finger up to the sky, like Muhammad did, to show the Greatness and Total Divine Transcendence of God.
      Only an lunatic would say God is located in a 'finite human mind', a disgraceful non-realized parasite.

      @@joajoajb exactly, the mind must be aligned with consciousness so that the mind becomes transparent for consciousness. That is not done by separating consciousness from the mind and giving the mind a free license for sure. That's why I say that asking the "why"-question is begging the question, is invoking the very split one wants to know why it is there. So all this must be wisely eliminated for consciousness to shine. Then to meet people as consciousness, so that they too are invited to do the same. Being together in consciousness is the main factor in the elimination of suffering wherever.

      @@joajoajb as I see it, the difference with religious dogma about the devil is, the vital point of illusion. The mind seen as separate from consciousness is an illusion. It is this illusion which thwarts everything and results in less than loving behavior. To however project this illusion as the devil, in an attempt to reify evil, is an illusion on top of illusion. When one seriously inquires into the nature of existence, the very inquiry will show the separate mind to be an illusion, but only when honestly and sincerely inquired into. To believe that separation is an illusion is again an illusion on top of illusion. If one discovers that one acts in daily life as if one is a separate ego, then the belief in that entity can be investigated without judging the belief as good or bad. Such judgment makes investigation impossible. So, yes in all circles there is this problem of dishonesty and insincerity, and therefore attachment to dogma. In fact we must make sure that the idea that "all this is just like religion" does not also become a dogma we are attached to, right? So, perhaps this needs further investigation?

      Leaving the illusory personal perspective is all there is to do in life, consciousness is all there is. As in any dream.

    According to who that god is intimate and impersonal. That would be fine to write if god's known. Impersonal means "not existing as a person" so there cant be no personal feelings and intimate means " involving a very close connection". Now all that sounds like we are thinking those connections in our mind and therefore not a god.
    More so, what is having and showing a close relationship with you which is also impersonal because it doesn't exist as a person. To find out, one must remove the god equation. Unfortunately so called teachers and guru's do not have a clue how the intelligent species initially Formed.
    Briefly, you your lineage inception was initially FORMED ( the source) not BORN ( your biological).
    No God had a hand in that process. Even Jesus the man knew there is no god because he said, " I and the father are one". Remove the god equation to find the real god of things.

    The mind has invested so much of itself buildind an identity made of conditioned beliefs and personal memory/history. Perhaps it retains this identity over generations.
    Anything that challenges it or collapses it or threatens it is ultimately perceived as a direct attack on the mind.
    The mind essentially fears losing itself and its neat, orderly and controlling view of the world.
    God/ Our God-like Nature seems unreachable only to the extent that we keep believing in, defending and identifying ourselves with fixed, rigid, seemingly solid beliefs or identities.
    This is a defense mechanism by which the mind fools itself into believing that anything is solid or permanent.
    When identity with or attachment to anything loses its appeal or power over us, openness and sharing take place, and a gradual transcendence of all fear of loss.
    It is there, in this disolution of identity, that God is felt.

      @Thought-Police-101Indeed.
      The mind fears losing itself by losing the contents it derives its identity from.
      The more fossilised the identification, the harder for the mind to let go of it.
      But yes, you're right, perhaps it's best to refer to this as "an aspect" of the human mind...

      God is Alive, God is feared by all things walking and crabbing and flying, God is praised and glorified by everything in the universe, God is submitted to and prostrated to by all things, by the accursed devil the outcast satan and all his followers (may the believers destroy them), by the spirits and angels, by ALL the other supernatural-spiritual heavenly beings in existence (who all exists and are real, Certainly), and Truly (Absolutely Truly), God is the King and Protector and Lord and Light and Ruler and Controller and Creator of the heavens and the earth and everything in them.
      -------;
      Then I, always, wake up, likewise, when death hits me, I shall taste it, and then I will wake up (Certainly) and I will wake up to my Absolutely True and Certain Return and Meeting (with God, glory be to Him).
      Then I will (probably) be judged, based on my sins and deeds etc, which will determine my after-life destination.
      So your argument is nothing but falsehood. Life after death is the case.
      May God show us mercy and forgiveness and goodness! Amiiin.
