- We always say this is the epitome of THIS vs THAT but this time… IT LITERALLY IS! We have a REAR WHEEL DRIVE Honda Civic VS a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE Honda Civic! Our friends at @throtl brought out their insane K20A2 powered Honda Civic EK Hatchback EK9, the wildest part about it is they converted it to RWD WITH air conditioning. This thing is covered in carbon fiber and weighs almost nothing. On the other side of the strip we have Royer’s super clean and super well built Honda Civic Hatchback EG6. This one is still FWD and he swapped a stroked and supercharged B18C1. Let’s find out if the Honda Civic should have come FWD or RWD from the factory.

Can 10000% confirm that loose belts is a Honda moment. Haven’t gotten my accessory belts to stay tight ever since I did the water pump and T belt on the B20 in my ‘99 CR-V 🤬
@@reidthompson8979 I have a alternator belt problem on my brothers b16a Crx. Won't stay tight and the pulley hits the frame if shaken hard enough. Always something with these bad bois 🤦🏾♂️

Don’t forget the complete lack of predictability of what they’ll do from one moment to the next. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a Honda run a 15, followed by a 9, followed by an 11 while missing a shift and spinning tires, followed by a 13 while blowing up. They’re GREAT cars, but when you make them fast they’re schizophrenic sticks of sweating dynamite.
Finally! We get two drivers who know when to go. That was getting so annoying watching people jump the start.

This is probably one of my favorite episodes ever. Two civics that couldn't possibly be more opposite. Two drivers that know how to launch at the right time without jumping. Drama on each race. And a civic doing doughnuts to finish it off😂

When you get 25 of these cars together it sounds like a herd of West Nile mosquitos and to be honest 25 of these cars together flying down the highway is so much fun.

@@stevo_sir you get what you pay for. A factory 12 second car is gonna cost you 30k. A 12 second Honda is gonna cost you about 10k to build lol
What a great episode with 2 legendary hatches. Damn supercharger belts always fallin off tho. I had a JRSC D16 with the same problem. Gets old 😂. Last time I drove it the pulley bracket came loose and made a web of zipties to get home. Fun when it worked though.Great race guys!

Ahh, I remember my first time seeing Micah drive was around 2017 during drift night at Adams Motorsport Park. He was drifting his E36 and the first thing that caught my attention were the holes on the trunk, besides the nasty sounding v8. So glad to see him whipping that Civic like a mad man.

Yeah a buddy got one of these for his Civic EX in 1999/2000. No tune, no new injectors. It made 125whp LOL. Hondas have come a long way since.

Honda's honestly become pretty unreliable once you try to make them fast. I speak from experience.

We need more videos with these types of cars I feel like a lot of people can relate to those cars because of how many people own them you know what I mean it gives the video a hole another feeling that’s hard to explain unless you see them doing a video on a car you have own in the past or currently owning.

He went the way I went with my Integra, anything that came off the car was put back on in carbon fiber. Splitter, front bumper, fenders, hood, mirrors, doors, dash, center console, seats, hatch, rear bumper, diffuser and rear wing.
