Randy's slash line the last 7 games: .296/.387/.481, his last 55 ab's his ops is .764. Guy has hardly tanked since he came over here, what's with all the crap the guys taking? These guys are human beings too. He's not the only player who has struggled with having his whole life turned upside down midseason.
I was at the game last night (along with 3,923 other people), and we almost left after 7. But, it wasn’t that late, so we stuck around for the whole game. I couldn’t muster up any anger, or frustration when the Mariners lost on another walk-off hit. Instead, I actually felt happy for the A’s players-who played with some pride, and like they had something to prove and play for-and their fans, who definitely deserve better than to have their despicable owner tear their team away after almost 60 years here in Oakland. The “step back” was a failure. Fire DiBozo. Trade all the “prospects” for some real bats. It’s time to clean house.
Do you think Jerry didn’t want to add more offense than he did? He and Hollander have to work with the money that they’re given. Not quite sure how you expect them to trade the prospects (which we had none that were valuable when he got here btw) for serious hitters if ownership refuses to take on the salary that serious hitters go for. I’m all for a new gm if I thought they could get someone better but we haven’t even seen what Dipoto can do with a healthy budget increase, and I have no qualms with their draft and development team we’ve gone from one of the consistently worst farm systems to consistently one of the best.
I personally do feel like T-Mobile is a fairly big disadvantage to hitters. More than just a marine layer issue. Teo and Beltre have said how tough it is. The club is dead last in the league in average hits per game at home vs. closer to middle of the pack on the road. They have more than 80 more hits on the road, 30 more doubles, and scored more than 30 more runs. Former M's players seem to have a resurgence when they get away from T-Mobile and players we bring in tend to fall off a cliff when they come here.
Left unsaid in all of that though- is the opposition is facing the same hitting conditions. So how come they manage to win more games than us at home? I think the park is a very much overrated factor for why our offense has sucked so bad the last few years.
@@IPANoah The opposition doesn't face those hitting conditions for half of the year. With some exceptions, hitting at T-Mobile for an extended period does a number on a batter's confidence. It's not just performance though. Hitters hate playing here, so getting free agent bats is a nightmare. Nearly every good batter we've scored in FA required a massive overpay
I think the problem with the pitching lately is that every inning they have pitched all season long has been a high leverage situation. They are mentally tired.
I know they said the other day they think Dipoto will be here next year, personally I think it’s time for him to go. If the M’s were close to being a legit contender then maybe I’d be ok with him sticking around one more year, but let’s face it, this version of the Mariners isn’t close.
I was watching the A’s feed last night because MLB blocks out Mariners games where I live - even their announcers, who I really like, mentioned how how disinterested, not focused Randy looked - these guys are generally complimentary about the opposing Teams players - they were not being negative, just a general observation - I like Randy, I really hope he really pulls out of this funk, but how would you like to play for a Team that has lost of their mojo in the last month - I am so sad and disappointed in this Teams performance- firing Scott did absolutely nothing to fix their problems - I hope Ownership and the Front Office are happy with their decision
I think it is hard to ask a guy who has been with one organization for his entire life to immediately buy in to a new system and acclimate himself in a little over a month that has been extremely chaotic with everything that has gone on. I hope he continues to acclimate and finishes on a high note this season. What I'm looking for is for the mariners to bring up bliss, Locklear, young and whomever else they need to get a look at to see if they are the answers going forward. Get a head start on evaluating this roster for '25. If someone gets a spark then cool run with it but at this point they don't deserve to get a playoff spot with how they've played played since the break.
The M's won today. I estimate to make the WC, they need to win one more than the worst of Minn and KC, or something like 87 games. Seattle will hold the tiebreaker against Houston if they win at least one game of their remaining 3 game set. They will need to win more to have a chance. For Houston to win 88+ games, they need to go 13-9 or better. The M's have an outside chance, we'll know better after this weekend.
Who are we gonna get that’s better than Dipoto though? This team and the farm was an absolute dump when he came in, despite the lack of big league success I feel like this org is in a much better spot since he’s taken over. Whoever replaces him will still have to work within the confines of this laughable ownership group
It's funny people always blam3 offense we had 3 3 run leads in almost every game this road trip and the pitching blows it I thought they had best pitching in baseball
You are overstating the amount of three run leads this team has given up. Most of these losses have been 1 run. Scoring 2-3 runs a game is definitely on the offense not the pitching.
The hitters are sand bagging to get back at the front office. Haniger and Garver just want to play out their contracts. For Garver 24 mil and retire. The rest want to be traded to a non stingy team. Eugenio is happy. Watch Ty. Look at Teoscar. The star filled lineup should be humming. Taking first pitch and swinging or taking at subsequent pitches at strike zone borders makes me sick. Balls hit usually at someone or popped up. These guys are stars and expect more from them.

It starts with the Ownership. Then Jerry.
Worst offense I’ve ever seen, overrated pitching, dogshit ownership. It’s truly so over
Don’t sugar coat it. How do you really feel?
I believe everything expect the pitching comment. You put an offense behind them and they will be the best.
@@tedmaui8991 I agree. I’m just angry lol
Perhaps I've said it before but why would ownership fire Jerry? He does exactly what he's asked to do. Maximize profits.

It's a beautiful park, but man has moving the mariners out into the elements had such awful downstream effects for the last 25 years
I guess that means the M's pleading poverty for another taxpayer funded stadium
@@jollyredjoker7682For real. The Kingdome was dated and a little ugly, but man it was a hitters paradise.

I stopped watching the mariners a couple weeks ago. They are truly pathetic as a team and ownership. It’s honestly ridiculous.
Jerry said 54% but we're at 50%, he lied!
50-4 percent lmao

does Dylan Moore own stock in the Mariners? The idea for his full time position on a "playoff" MLB team boggles the mind.
I wish Arozarena would actually try to play in Seattle. This lineup could be so much better if he actually gave a crap.
He's still surrounded by a lineup of nothing lmao one solid hitter isn't going to save this offense
@@User-b9q2z My point though. He ain't solid. Victor Robles is the closest thing this team has to any sort of consistency
