I had the A14 and it was horribly slow. I recently purchased the 5g variant and find it so much better. There's is hardly ever any lag. It's a smoother experience. This one's a keeper 😊

I recently got the a14 5g a couple of months and honestly im not complaining my old phone was so slow even the wifi in that phone was so bad i like my phone right now its fast and it gets the job done plus i dont use camera that much :D
I personally believe that releasing 4G phones is a waste of time. You can have a cheap 5G capable device and you don't need to have 5G in your area to use it. It's capable of a 4G signal just fine and in case you get 5G in your area, you're ready for it. 😅
A14 4G its better, amazing phone. Just turn on dev options, deactivate dhe animations, and limit background proceses at " at most 3" and the phone will fly. Spectacular 4 the price, camera ita average, but in day light he can take stuning quality photos.
I disagree, my parents brought me the A14 4G, AND THIS SHIT CANNOT EVEN SURVIVE 30 FPS ON A DAMN TIKTOK FILTER, AND IT IS A USELESS PIECE OF A E-WASTE SHIT.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 is a great phone, however in my opinion, the 5G version is the way to go, the 4G LTE version should only be purchased if you're on a slightly stricter budget but still want a decent phone at a reasonable price. I had the A14 4G LTE and it's not as good as it's 5G counterpart, but it was still a lovely phone. 😊 Unfortunately it broke due to a power button failure. 😔 I have the A15 now and it's also amazing like these two A14s! 😁
Thank you. To overcome the photo quality and detail, I down loaded open camera app. This provides me with better detailed colour etc and a bit more manual control. Compared to my a50, it was the photos on the a14 5g that let it down I felt. Over saturated and sharpening, nothing another app can fix.

My mom got me the new Samsung s24 plus to replace it, and I love it, it is awesome. way better battery life, display, connection, e.t.c. I noticed though that a lot of my messages would not go through on the A14 5G. My A14 5G was good, but I needed an upgrade. At spectrum, they said my phone was in perfect condition, and they could give me the Samsung S24+, for $270. If you have the Samsung A14 5G, try to keep it in great condition! You could get the new S24 plus for a great price on trade in!
Samsung has increased prices on these phones, and they are a hell of expensive in South Africa. Even some service providers are offering them on a 36 months contracts. Samsung think we are fools like IPhone users.

Next year I'll buy A34, it's a better phone. I had A22 5G on contract, and it's no longer working and the contract is still active, it's ending in December and I'm not upgrading. I'll use my foschini credit card
Can you make a comparison between the A04s, the A13 4G and the A14 4G. As far as I'm aware, the A13 4G is identical to the A14 4G, it's just the A13 has a depth sensor, while the A14 does not.

For people watching, just get a 2nd hand flagship or upper midrange phone. Something like the Samsung S21, Samsung A52s, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 etc. are similarly priced but offer a better experience and performance.

The A14 4G has three Card Slots like the Samsung A10, Samsung A12, and Samsung A05S. So why on earth didn't Samsung do the same with the Samsung A15 4G. Perhaps they will hopefully bring the three Card Slots back to the Samsung A16 4G and Samsung A16 5G if not I shall just buy both the Samsung A24 4G and Samsung A14 4G as extra phones.

I made a conscious choice to get the A14 4g due to the lower SAR value. It is about half that of the A14 5g. I spend alot of time watching videos and surfing the internet on my phone, so half the radiation amount sounded good to me. So far, loving tbe A14 4g. Its plenty fast, has huge 128g storage so fits lots of apps, and has good speaker phone quality. Thanks for continuing to make good 4g phones, Samsung. 5g is not for everyone, even if they bring it to your area. Just saying, might be better to cut your risk of getting cancer.
I don't get it, I have the 4g version of the phone and it runs faster than both the phones you showcased in the video, using the stuff you showed in the performance chapter as a benchmark to compare results, and I ran the tests several times, mine was always faster... I don't know what to tell you

I have the A14 5G. first of all none of the cables or chargers fast charge the phone properly. Next half of the software interface is not available as shown on youtube videos. Lastly loudness does not exist on this model. I am accustomed to the S and Note models of Samsung Smartphones

Regular A14 (4G) has better (lower) SAR value than 5g version. For one who cares about his/her health this is the most important parameter. In general, A14 4G is a phone with one of the lowest SAR values of 2023 phones.
It sounds so bizarre to me that a 5g chipset would be smoother than a 4g chipset, when the chipsets are about the faster data networks which may or may not be rolled out in your area. I can see quite clearly your point made between the smoothness of the scrolling and app switching between the two devices. 5g is backwards compatible with 4g so even if you cant take advantage of the 5g network in your area you can still use 4g in your phone. I came here as I was looking into the a14 4g and saw the a15 4g for £92. So maybe the a15 4G doesn't have this slowness issue. Just going to look more into it.
My daughter wants A14 as her friends have them and Nokia 5.3 has grown old. Now the 5G model is €20 cheaper than the 4G model. So... most likely G5 it is. (but 5G better be set disabled as it is not as robust as 4G network)
I haven't been following much but that's because I did get a phone after watchin a lot of videos and I chose the s20fe and it has been a great phone, It's been 2 years now and I notice the battery is not holding a charge for as long lately so I turned the battery saver of and that little extra is like new life, My daughter also went from apple to Samsung after watching so many videos with me lol Any ways just wanted to hit like and comment just to show support, I think next summer ill be looking at the Fold phones because they will surly be down in price by then.
Samsung have beautiful display and durable but theyshould be mindful of user interface for their budget phones.2gig RAM +2gig virtual RAM plus makes the phone choppy and more difficult to use compared to phones of less known brands.

It depends on what region you’re in with the A14 5G. For example, in the U.S., the phone does have NFC & contactless payments. In India, the phone does not. Kind of a bummer.
Thanks for this video & explanation. I very recently bought the A14 5G @ 199. from Consumer Cellular. I searched around first and liked the cheaper prices but was confused why they had different specs. Not knowing anything about smartphones, I stayed with my original carrier Consumer Cellular. They always have been dependable, straight shooter, fair & honest provider. They also have fantastic customer service. So I guess my choice of phones was a good one.

Right? I totally agree. Even if they sell the phone in a region or country that doesn’t have 5G network towers, the phone will still connect to 3G/4G/LTE. So just make one “A14” that’s 5G compatible, make it a decent phone and launch it for everyone
@@TechDaily But to make matters worse, there is no A24 5G, which doesn't make sense. I was hoping Samsung would throw a Snapdragon 695 into the A14 5G, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 into the A24. Samsung's A series has never been so weird. Like the A14 4G and A04s are almost the same phone and they're so similarly priced. The A04s has a 720p 90Hz LCD instead of a 1080p 60Hz LCD (probably because the Exynos 850 isn't powerful enough to handle the 1080p screen), and a 2MP depth instead of a 5MP ultrawide. The A24 seemingly has the same camera hardware as the A14 4G.
Samsung midranges are overpriced trash, recycling specs from previous models...if you want to enjoy Samsung phones go for flagships ones otherwise for midrange Xiaomi redmi are the better options not only fast charging and longer battery life but also the pricing is great
This phone is useless, don't waste any money, even now it has may 1 security patch and is not giving any updates since 3 months There is also a network issue,and you have to restart again and again to get 5G signal.And I am using this phone since 5 months the phone is 90Hz and it hangs/lag and battery backup is also useless too much idle drain on the phone active battery like 1-2 minutes 1% drop

No idea why Samsung are doing this. Phone A have this....phone B does not. Phone A lack this....phone B does not. Probably most countries/vicinities has 4G coverage. Whilst others still lack 5G coverage.
This phone has such a terrible build quality, it's so cheap. The scratchy back is fisgusting, thick ugly bezels (worse than previous generations like a12), cheap plastic build everywhere, and the phone is so thick it's even uglyer with the boxy design (if it was thinner it would look great like on the s23/s23+). And OneUI core isn't even worth getting a Samsung for it. It doesn't have Samsung pay, no goodlock, and it misses many many more feature that even galaxy s20 on oneui 5 has as it's the normal oneui on these device (the flagships). So if you get a cheap phone get an older flagship (s21, iphone 12) or take the chinese phones
I always go for the high-end S series. I know some people don't care about what phones they get. They're cheapskates, hardly go on their phones or on a budget.

I wager to guess that the A14 5G with 4GB RAM is faster all around than the A14 4G with 6GB RAM. It's not AS bloated as a typical Galaxy Sxx so it's not instantly out of RAM the moment you start it up. I find that with all the apps I have, I usually get down to 1.1GB RAM free. This was more like 1.4-1.5GB free before I installed a bunch of e-mail apps and stuff I don't need. Either way, it's always fast. That said, if you don't care about 5G (I don't, this was a temp phone until I found my missing phone), you're probably better off going on eBay and buying an older new or open box Galaxy S10+ or something. That's my actual phone and it's faster at everything and has way more features plus far better cameras. And it has 8GB RAM/128GB storage. I'd say the only thing it's lacking is the refresh rate of the A14 5G. It's 60hz instead of 90hz, so there's that... but it is AMOLED so it "looks" better. Has MUCH faster internal memory and an actual USB-C 3.1 port instead of a USB-C 2.0 port if that matters to ya. But the A14 5G does have insane battery life, so I'll give it that, too. It's just missing all the premium features of a Galaxy S model phone if you even care about that.

In Norway there is none 5g option and its 200$ while 5g is 270$ somehow

You can add up to 8GB ram using storage as ram, which is good for multitasking

I have Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) and electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) so for me is very difficult to live on this world.

The Exynos 1330 chip in the 5g is way faster than the Mediatek Helio G80 chip on the 4g version.
I have the A14 5G. first of all none of the cables or chargers fast charge the phone properly. Next half of the software interface is not available as shown on youtube videos. Lastly loudness does not exist on this model. I am accustomed to the S and Note models of Samsung Smartphones

Samsung A14 4G has has the better internal card slots and that's very important as far as I am concerned
Regular A14 (4G) has better (lower) SAR value than 5g version. For one who cares about his/her health this is the most important parameter. In general, A14 4G is a phone with one of the lowest SAR values of 2023 phones.
It sounds so bizarre to me that a 5g chipset would be smoother than a 4g chipset, when the chipsets are about the faster data networks which may or may not be rolled out in your area.
I can see quite clearly your point made between the smoothness of the scrolling and app switching between the two devices.
5g is backwards compatible with 4g so even if you cant take advantage of the 5g network in your area you can still use 4g in your phone.
I came here as I was looking into the a14 4g and saw the a15 4g for £92. So maybe the a15 4G doesn't have this slowness issue. Just going to look more into it.
They're not great power wise, but will never be as bad as the moto g play!

I haven't been following much but that's because I did get a phone after watchin a lot of videos and I chose the s20fe and it has been a great phone, It's been 2 years now and I notice the battery is not holding a charge for as long lately so I turned the battery saver of and that little extra is like new life, My daughter also went from apple to Samsung after watching so many videos with me lol

Samsung have beautiful display and durable but theyshould be mindful of user interface for their budget phones.2gig RAM +2gig virtual RAM plus makes the phone choppy and more difficult to use compared to phones of less known brands.

It depends on what region you’re in with the A14 5G. For example, in the U.S., the phone does have NFC & contactless payments. In India, the phone does not. Kind of a bummer.
Google Wallet does work, but as far as I'm aware, Samsung Pay/Samsung Wallet does not work on One UI Core.
Czechia doesn't even have samsung pay but does have gpay and most phones with NFC@@TechDaily

Thanks for this video & explanation. I very recently bought the A14 5G @ 199. from Consumer Cellular. I searched around first and liked the cheaper prices but was confused why they had different specs. Not knowing anything about smartphones, I stayed with my original carrier Consumer Cellular. They always have been dependable, straight shooter, fair & honest provider. They also have fantastic customer service. So I guess my choice of phones was a good one.
It seems like such a waste of the rare earth minerals putting them in a phone with a processor that bad, it can't even run UA-cam it's not worth the minerals it took to make it
Right? I totally agree. Even if they sell the phone in a region or country that doesn’t have 5G network towers, the phone will still connect to 3G/4G/LTE. So just make one “A14” that’s 5G compatible, make it a decent phone and launch it for everyone
@@TechDaily But to make matters worse, there is no A24 5G, which doesn't make sense. I was hoping Samsung would throw a Snapdragon 695 into the A14 5G, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 into the A24. Samsung's A series has never been so weird. Like the A14 4G and A04s are almost the same phone and they're so similarly priced. The A04s has a 720p 90Hz LCD instead of a 1080p 60Hz LCD (probably because the Exynos 850 isn't powerful enough to handle the 1080p screen), and a 2MP depth instead of a 5MP ultrawide. The A24 seemingly has the same camera hardware as the A14 4G.
Samsung midranges are overpriced trash, recycling specs from previous models...if you want to enjoy Samsung phones go for flagships ones otherwise for midrange Xiaomi redmi are the better options not only fast charging and longer battery life but also the pricing is great

This phone is useless, don't waste any money, even now it has may 1 security patch and is not giving any updates since 3 months There is also a network issue,and you have to restart again and again to get 5G signal.And I am using this phone since 5 months the phone is 90Hz and it hangs/lag and battery backup is also useless too much idle drain on the phone active battery like 1-2 minutes 1% drop

This phone has such a terrible build quality, it's so cheap. The scratchy back is fisgusting, thick ugly bezels (worse than previous generations like a12), cheap plastic build everywhere, and the phone is so thick it's even uglyer with the boxy design (if it was thinner it would look great like on the s23/s23+). And OneUI core isn't even worth getting a Samsung for it. It doesn't have Samsung pay, no goodlock, and it misses many many more feature that even galaxy s20 on oneui 5 has as it's the normal oneui on these device (the flagships). So if you get a cheap phone get an older flagship (s21, iphone 12) or take the chinese phones

I always go for the high-end S series. I know some people don't care about what phones they get. They're cheapskates, hardly go on their phones or on a budget.

I wager to guess that the A14 5G with 4GB RAM is faster all around than the A14 4G with 6GB RAM.
It's not AS bloated as a typical Galaxy Sxx so it's not instantly out of RAM the moment you start it up. I find that with all the apps I have, I usually get down to 1.1GB RAM free. This was more like 1.4-1.5GB free before I installed a bunch of e-mail apps and stuff I don't need. Either way, it's always fast.
That said, if you don't care about 5G (I don't, this was a temp phone until I found my missing phone), you're probably better off going on eBay and buying an older new or open box Galaxy S10+ or something. That's my actual phone and it's faster at everything and has way more features plus far better cameras. And it has 8GB RAM/128GB storage. I'd say the only thing it's lacking is the refresh rate of the A14 5G. It's 60hz instead of 90hz, so there's that... but it is AMOLED so it "looks" better. Has MUCH faster internal memory and an actual USB-C 3.1 port instead of a USB-C 2.0 port if that matters to ya.
But the A14 5G does have insane battery life, so I'll give it that, too. It's just missing all the premium features of a Galaxy S model phone if you even care about that.
