Hi! If we did an employment medical check up within 2 years so we just need to sign the declaration form but how would ICA know if we have done it as we will not have a record of the check up. Or they have a record from the employer?
Hi there, I believe the employment medical check up is the pre condition when applying for work pass (permit, s pass or e pass). Likely the government should have such record of work pass application and may link to pr application. There is no extra step I did last time. Note the process may change from time to time.

Just want to share my very sad experience. I’m a PR for about 13 years and I keep applying pr for my family and now is the 12th times. My kids grown up here, first one is now Secondary 4 other one is Sec 1. And guess what, still REJECTED. No one can explain why and result didn’t say anything what’s the reason. I think we’re the longest who have applied PR for many times and could be the longest in history of Sg🧐. So what can you say?
You mean your child are non-pr despite the parents are? Quite disheartening to hear if this is the case, as PR get to enjoy lower school fee we presume.
@@AxeandYung I’m only pr. So my wife is working here with long term pass and my 2 kids is only student pass. They studied from kindergarten to secondary. My first one will be graduating from secondary. This is really I cannot understand. It’s really sad for my kids who grown up in Sg.
Hi Roland, if you are referring to your Birth Certificate, and it is in Malay, you do not need to translate it into English, you can submit the original copy, However, if you want to go the more formal way, you can translate it by contacting a registered translation agency here in Singapore.

So, if I understand well... you need to have a job offer first before you start the process ? I'm out of the country. how can I get a job offer ? I have a US bachelor degree and speak both French and English fluently
Thanks for the info. Really helps me out. I just have a question in mind, is it a compulsory to upload Annex A when applying PR? Since my company only will provide me a letter after i have been working for 2 years. Hope you will answer my question. :)
Hi, if I won't be able to submit documents in 7 days what will happen? Will that be considered as submitted with incomplete documnt? Or it is not considered as submission? Example i do not upload a single document and do not click on submit. Thanks!
Hi, I am not sure in this case. To play safe, I suggest getting ready with all the required documents. You may not want to leave the application hanging and affect your chances. From what we experienced, once we submitted and paid the fee, we will have to email personally to resubmit any additional docs.
Hi there, refer to the explanatory note at www.ica.gov.sg/docs/default-source/ica/eservices/epr/explanatory_notes_and_document_list_for_pts.pdf Current Employer’s letter stating the date of employment, position held, salary per month for the past 6 months with breakdown into basic, overtime and allowance per month. The letter, addressed to the Controller of Immigration, should be dated within 1 month from the date of submission There is no template, if you request from your employer, the company should be able to prepare a simple letter with the company letterhead
after 6 months, because the result will be released between 6 to 8 months, then you can check weekly. If approved, you will also get the physical approval letter, so do check your letterbox often

Ive got a quest My fren is wrking in spore and she stays there for more than 2 years and have been working in 2 diff company(healthcare). She is earning 1500Sgd and holding a work permit and she doesnt have any dip or deg cert but only spm. And she has a child in msia. She plans to get a PR and reside in Spore together wt the child. How is this posible?
Hi Amresh, thanks for writing in. One of the eligibility criteria to apply PR is that it open to S pass or E pass holder if your friend is planning to apply under employment side. Hence, it will be good to ask the boss if they could upgrade the work permit to S pass? (this may require higher salary or having technical certificate in the industry). Hope this helps.
Hi, Thank you very much for your detailed and clear explanation. I have one question, after we submitted PR application, we should not exit the country and come back until the get PR status result.. Is that true?? Because I need to go to my country and come back during my PR application is in progress.. Could you help me to give your thoughts on this.. Thanks
Hi there. There is no such rule that the applicant must be physically staying in the country after the application is submitted. The process could take up to 8 months or more as per current situation. In between, you can still leave for short term eg going for short visit. The important thing is to make sure there is no change in details eg the company that you are working with, and the residential address that you are renting. If you are planning to leave the country for good while waiting for pr result, it may be an issue. Anyway, the best way to check is to write in to ICA when your situation change after the application is submitted.
thanks for the video very informative, need to ask a question is there any option in application to add Additional documents ? Is cover letter which all consultancies are preparing do we have option to add cover letter or resume ? or any no of extra documents we can add ?

Hi Nelson, yes there is a part in the application form where I am required to put my parents information. I applied as a pass holder for myself. I believe it is the same application form.
Unfortunately the criteria require the applicant to stay in Singapore for at least 6 months. So, you must put Singapore residential address while applying. Good luck!

In the form, you would be asked to fill up details including past employment history, there you could state all your previous employer names, addresses, position and salary.
Hi may I ask do I do U think the basic is important as I am a S pass holder but I don’t think my basic is high 😥 that’s why I don’t sure whether I should try applying or not
Hi Wentian, the criteria do not specifically or explicitly mention the minimum salary in order to apply. We are not sure what do you mean by not high for S pass holder. I guess more importantly is that you are having the skillsets that Singapore would need to continue growing its economy.
TBH Singapore emphasize a lot on education/qualification, hence it is better to have at least diploma to be eligible as S pass worker and try to apply PR if that is really what you are aiming at.

Hi Thank you for the information. I just applied PR through online but after paying .I just realised didn’t download my transcripts and other certificates. Is it necessary to have those in online application?
Hi, yes it is necessary to upload your highest qualification certificate. If you miss out, I guess it is better for you to email ICA to update your status and document.
Exactly after how many months of staying, did you apply for PR? 6 months or more?
Hi m&m, exactly 7 months I stay in Singapore and work for 6 months.
2 months before applying, I started preparing the scanned copy of all required documents

So what can you say?
huh!?!?!
You mean your child are non-pr despite the parents are?
Quite disheartening to hear if this is the case, as PR get to enjoy lower school fee we presume.

Did you have to translate your Malaysian documents to English? If you did, how did you do it?
Hi Roland, if you are referring to your Birth Certificate, and it is in Malay, you do not need to translate it into English, you can submit the original copy, However, if you want to go the more formal way, you can translate it by contacting a registered translation agency here in Singapore.

It has been so long. Sorry I could not remember.

From what we experienced, once we submitted and paid the fee, we will have to email personally to resubmit any additional docs.

There is no template, if you request from your employer, the company should be able to prepare a simple letter with the company letterhead

Thank you very much for your detailed and clear explanation.
Thank you very much.. 🙏🙏🙏
