It's not the worst situation, we've seen the DM come back from worse during the venice series (and then lose everything again later) but this is a rough start and it's a shame that it has already been forced to give up on both paths. Honestly the only thing that is really worrying is the fact that eastern europe is looking extremely hugboxy, it's good that Poland is not invading Bohemia (yet) but at the same time it looks like no help will arrive from that part of europe.

Thing is dominant games dont last nearly as long as balanced ones where both sides have bloodbaths and failures alongside victories. And well shorter the game the less spud can milk the series for. Game end by 1860 potentially a 2 part series. Game end by 1936 full on 22 part series

If you could create a free version of this with a strong multiplayer it would be a market changer. There is no good large party grand strategy games, even though the concept is gold. The more players the more chances for interactions and diplomacy. So much politicking could justify the game to play at a slower rate to allow for scheming and organizing. America should be X states in a union competing to settle the west and establish governments that will serve their interests. Official discord partnership of course.
In real politiek eatkng the spheres under bohemia would be good. Of you then switch teams and wat the burgundians once you would be stronger. But thats likely not optimal image wise
If i'm not mistaken, the reason why i fucked up in my war with burgundy was because he eventually sent decent troops and i didn't really have a way to counter them. The only reason why he did that though was because of the war in europe basically having been won by then, something i didn't really know at the time.
I think I'm being a rules lawyer but I do not think joining a war to be an infamy sponge is allowed because on the subject of alliances 1.A "Joining a conflict REQUIRES that you have the intent to participate in that conflict." If you join a war in order to be an infamy sponge you do not wish to participate and therefore I posit that it is illegal to join the war to be an infamy sponge.
