He is a very pretty boy and definitely seems very intelligent! 🐴 P.s. I adore that you take the time to do these mustang makeovers, so that they can be adopted out and find loving caring homes.
It's really nice to see you work with a dominant horse so that we can learn from your experience of dealing with a more challenging horse. Watching you having to use different ways of training is very helpful and I know that you are definitely one of the best in training new horses. Be careful and keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing the process of his transformation. He is absolutely beautiful by the way. Good luck to you guys.
Cagey boy, this Dorado. First he tests whether the scratches on his face might let him get away with mischief. Then, when you parry his challenge with mean rope noises, he cooperates without pinning his ears back. The future looks bright. Your publicly demonstrating how "wild" horses can be enlisted in joint adventures is the work of angels. Major kudos.
He is just perfect. Love the name it suits him well. I am sure he will be a challenge, but, he is also very smart. If anyone can do it you can, and I for one cannot wait for the next video. thank you so much for posting. I am so pleased you have a mustang again, I feel they are so lucky to have found you.
Love that you do this type of work with thoroughbreds and mustangs... just goes to show, any horse can be worked with. You just have to put in the time and you do, so thank you :)
At the speed he was trotting he looks like an excellent dressage horse or even a western pleasure horse! Lovely trot, hes really driving from the back end and naturally collecting. Good luck with him
Good for you, Elisa. You are very wise and intuitive, and it really shows in your work in the early days with the different mustangs. Look at how different the individuals were from each other--Fledge and Emit, both so laid back in their different ways. Rune and Nimh. Hwin. Wager. Arlequin. Ozzie. And now this guy. I bow to you.
Very smart! I can't believe I was turned loose with a greenbroke Mo. Foxtrotter when I was 16, and he was 6! I was waaay more green than him but we worked it out together. I loved him and he loved me. We bonded. We traveled miles everyday and enjoyed every minute of it!! R.I.P. Sam!! Till we meet again!!
Wow. He's an interesting fella. Definitely different, but good different. He is intelligent and stunning. I can't wait to see what direction you go with him. That bravery screams eventer if he carries it with him under saddle.
Love watching you work with horses, i’v learned so much from your videos. Thank you for posting them, always looking forward to the next one. I expect we’ll all learn a lot from this mustang, stay safe and best wishes for you in the TIP Challenge!
He is so handsome! Horses with this personality are so fun. Bet you anything that getting him to yield his shoulders for you is 100% more difficult than the hind! Hehehe! Have fun!
Hes beautiful. I love those types of Alpha horses who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves they make good eventers! Just as well he has fallen into your hands Elisa, it may have not worked out so well for him if he was with a less experienced trainer who may have been afraid of him. How big is he?
What a handsome dude, slight bump on face but should heal fine glad you are both OK after the incident. Looking forward to see him improve and growing in confidence.
Love watching these videos of working with mustangs. Please show us as much of his progress as your busy seclude allows! Also is he gelded ? Do the BLM geld mustangs or is that up to the adopter ?
Q Tee we can choose to keep our horses instead of running them through the auction. And if we choose to auction we get to keep al of the money instead of splitting it with the Blm. Also the competition is in-hand not ridden.
Do you now how to treat the cuts? If you do please tell me because my horse has two on his shoulder. If you please reply. Or if anyone now how?! Thank you!!❤
Heck if your horse has cuts on his shoulder you should prolly ask a vet / someone at your barn who knows how to treat wounds. Asking online isn't a good idea for this type of stuff.
Julia Westrom hahaha yea shut up. Normally you can find antibiotic ointments at tack shops etc. You can also rinse them out but if they are really superficial they will usually heal on their own but you want to make sure that it has some sort of antibiotic protection
Do you ever do long distance lessons? I'm working with a sales authority mare who has turned out to be quite a challenge and would love to pick your brain!
You don’t technically need a round pen. You could use another arena or find some flat ground and use a Lunge line... but, if the horse has never been bridled or ridden then it is the safer alternative to keep them in a secured environment. Hope this helped!
You look so aggressive when you work with him with the rope. ..your voice is nice but your actions??? So in germany the trainers are more sensitiv to the horses and give them a bit of time ...There it looks like that the horses are only get rules and have to do that..the have no freedom. ..neither in their mind...but the horse is very very beautiful. ..I Dont know ..maybe its only a moment that i See. ..some words of you Shows that you know what they need ..A Herd ..and something like that ..but the the aggresive action with the rope. .I Dont know..wish you the best and Good luck. .also for the horse🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀❤🐎
Equigirl R.H. She was being more aggressive that normal because he was testing her. He started to charge her a few times. I agree with giving a horse freedom, but not so much that you let them walk all over you.
Equigirl R.H. a dominant horse that acts on the dominance can become deadly very fast. Letting him stand there when she tells him to move is not okay because that can turn scary quickly, even if you don't think so. It also lets him know that he's in charge. Dominant horses are are animals that have to be handled assertively. It's okay for him to be dominant in the field but not with humans. Dominant horses are more likely to kill a human than another horse when acting on said dominance. It's training him to know that when he tries to over power us, we aren't going to take that. We don't want to hurt them or hurt us so it's for the better that she comes on assertively rather than let him run the show.
He is a very pretty boy and definitely seems very intelligent! 🐴 P.s. I adore that you take the time to do these mustang makeovers, so that they can be adopted out and find loving caring homes.
I think the same!!!

He is so handsome! Horses with this personality are so fun. Bet you anything that getting him to yield his shoulders for you is 100% more difficult than the hind! Hehehe! Have fun!
Very handsome boy! I can’t wait to see where you guys go! Stay safe with him❤️
We live right near the Frisco HMA. I go out there often to photograph mustangs

So happy to see you back with the Mustangs!
He is so handsome and seems to be quite a quick learner. I hope he turns out as one of your best!
He moves well. I can't wait to see how he comes along.
He is beautiful and I am sure I seen him when he was a free guy on the Frisco range .
I miss Dorado but I'm excited about Wy and Eton
This is great ! Looking forward to your journey with him
What a handsome dude, slight bump on face but should heal fine glad you are both OK after the incident. Looking forward to see him improve and growing in confidence.
I used to live near Paul’s Valley. I drove by that place daily.
Yay more mustang videos! I love these!
Gorgeous! He will get along well!

I already love him! So handsome, omg ❤️
Ooh can’t wait till tomorrow
What is the difference between the TIP challenge and the other mustang makeovers you've done in the past?
Q Tee we can choose to keep our horses instead of running them through the auction. And if we choose to auction we get to keep al of the money instead of splitting it with the Blm. Also the competition is in-hand not ridden.
Oh cool! Sounds much more amateur friendly. (aside from the whole mustang part. lol) Good luck with him!
I love horses❤️

He is beautiful
What happen that you chose to take off the halter you had it on when he loaded up but not after?
I guess since he was in the round pen he didn’t really need one. However, it might have been so that the halter didn’t irritate the cuts on his face.
Do you need to have a round pen in order to lunge and work with a mustang?
You don’t technically need a round pen. You could use another arena or find some flat ground and use a Lunge line... but, if the horse has never been bridled or ridden then it is the safer alternative to keep them in a secured environment. Hope this helped!
He’s so lucky he was found by you
He is beautifull
