I can hardly imagine two places less similar than Tahiti and the Faeroe Islands. You also posted Brazil and Tanzania this year, so you are truly seeing the world. I've never been to the Faeroe Islands or Jan Mayen, but pictures have always made them look like places out of myth and legend. I was tempted once by an Atlantic Ridge cruise offered a few years ago by an adventure travel company - it started in the Faeroe Islands and ended at Tristan da Cunha (the most remote inhabited place in the world), stopping at all the island groups in between, but didn't do it. It's always great to see the places you upload.
I guess the only similarities is they are both islands 😅 wow that Atlantic ridge cruise sounds very intriguing. I’ve wanted to go to Tristan Da Cunha but the 12 day round trip didn’t sound to fun but might be better on a cruise like that. I need to do some research on it

Extraordinary adventure! My little local NY airport is now offering direct flights to the Faroe Islands. But it looks like you have to be young and fit to really explore and appreciate it. I can’t imagine there are too many seniors, like me, on this tour.
Wow that’s so cool they offer direct flights! Honestly most places were extremely easy to access with little to no hiking, and my favorite part was just driving around the islands so I think it’s definitely worth a visit
you did a great job on this video. I am taking my bicycle and riding to many of these places and camping and doing hikes and engulf this beautiful places.

Honestly, some of your shots gave me a bit of a scare-it looked like you were standing very close to the edge of those cliffs, and with the wind, it seemed like it could easily blow anyone away. Are there specific spots in the Faroe Islands where you need a local guide, or is it fairly easy to explore the places shown in your videos without one? Also, is this place suitable for toddlers, or would hiking make it too challenging? Could you suggest any specific safety gear to bring? Is December a good time to visit, or is there a better season? And is it always as windy as it seemed during your stay?

Thanks Mark! I’m not the best to ask for food tips 😅 I ate mostly gas station bacon wrapped hot dogs during the day (which were delicious) and I would get fish and chips at night (some of the best I’ve ever had). My favorite place was called Fish & Chips Klaksvik

Thanks Mark! I’m not the best to ask for food tips 😅 I ate mostly gas station bacon wrapped hot dogs during the day (which were delicious) and I would get fish and chips at night (some of the best I’ve ever had). My favorite place was called Fish & Chips Klaksvik

Thanks Timor! Some of the hikes/beaches are on private land so some owners decide to charge. I guess I rather pay than not be able to do the hike at all.
