Cavitation was first discovered by a marine engineer trying to find out why bits of his prop where missing . not fuel related in carbs , it also happens in pipe lines that have bad welds and curves, that's why we use copper nickel alloy pipes that resist cavitation . I worked in marine engineering 8 years
yes thats why im not giving jetting but more understanding of how it works so people can make better changes by them selves , a dyno will only be better if the guy using it is good .
Hi Steve, Great channel keep it going. Can you explain how an engine runs in reverse? i rebuild an engine with a 195 kit (BGM) Set the timing to 19• BTDC with a 360° disc. i decided to have it checked by a friend with a buzz wangle and strobe light and it was out. On a few occasions the bike has reversed in first gear, please can you explain? Help!
Beware the very cheapest PWK copies. Its possible to spend hours trying to set up jetting, which in some cases will be impossible if the carb is faulty. About the best PWK copies are made by Nibbi and are around £50 direct from China. Far better than the £20 ones, and well worth paying the extra for.
Nice one squeeky, the frophing off the fuel is called cavitation. A bit like that on a boat prop and screw.

yes he recons its better than his 265 casa , pull from lower down instant power more usable ......

Proper information
Setting up carbs is always challenging. If possible always best to use a dyno just to check it’s not got any lean spots

its an ignition anomaly due to a faulty coil or pick up .
The music is distracting.

Intend to watch your full series on carburetta set up and tune. Old-timer in Florida.
@@williamjmansfield8768 I sold PWK clone carbs for 4-5 years, and have a fair understanding of them.
