Ive been watching the vlog almost since the beginning and have watched you decide to live in a camper van, build the camper van, travel with the camper van, decide to have a child together, conclude a camper van isnt the best option (if you have choices) for a child, find a huge property to buy and blablabla! I can tell you guys worked very hard on restoring the farmhouse! What I liked is that you kept the outside facade and modernized the interior. I think it is grand that Simon,s parents live close by. 1:00 At every post plant a trumpet vine. Keep it tied to the post. By the time the posts rot the vines will be the new posts. Some of my vines are now as large as a tree trunk (80years old) and require no attention at all except for the occasional tucking in of vines growing away from the fence. If the fence starts to "spread" you can tie the tops of the vines together to hold the stack. An old trumpet vine row is beautiful and the strong smell attracts humming birds and bees. When they get old you can't kill them if you wanted.
I US English I believe they are a mullion. In the US manufactures under cut the frame so it fits the opening, which can also be a problem. Amazing transformation, great job. You must be feeding Nox the right fertilizer because she is growing fast.
Both of you and your parents, Simon, have done a wonderfully, beautiful job with this renovation of the chateau and the property it's on. When you started, as a family group to do this, I thought it appeared impossible. But you all have exceeded and Nox is, as we say in America, "the icing 😉 on top of the cake".

The english words for window grids that divide the glass panes are also known as grilles, muntins, or mullions. Muntins is probably the proper terminology. In days past, these actually divided each pane of glass. In most modern windows these are decorative.

Having the laundry in the kitchen is very convenient, and I use my island as a folding table.

1:00 At every post plant a trumpet vine. Keep it tied to the post. By the time the posts rot the vines will be the new posts. Some of my vines are now as large as a tree trunk (80years old) and require no attention at all except for the occasional tucking in of vines growing away from the fence. If the fence starts to "spread" you can tie the tops of the vines together to hold the stack. An old trumpet vine row is beautiful and the strong smell attracts humming birds and bees. When they get old you can't kill them if you wanted.
I US English I believe they are a mullion. In the US manufactures under cut the frame so it fits the opening, which can also be a problem. Amazing transformation, great job. You must be feeding Nox the right fertilizer because she is growing fast.

When you started, as a family group to do this, I thought it appeared impossible. But you all have exceeded and Nox is, as we say in America, "the icing 😉 on top of the cake".

The english words for window grids that divide the glass panes are also known as grilles, muntins, or mullions. Muntins is probably the proper terminology. In days past, these actually divided each pane of glass. In most modern windows these are decorative.
