Hi!! Love your videos and love that you set up before purchasing!!! Just want to offer a few things. Particularly on this comment I would say that you dont need any heat at night unless your temps in your home go below 65° They dont need any heat or lights at night otherwise. They need a cool down period. Also your UVB really only has to be 3/4 the length of your tank and it should go right with your basking light so they can get UVA & UVB at the same time while basking. It's ok to have 1/4 of your tank without any lights or heat as ling as the cool side is 80/90 and hit side 90/100 with a basking temp of 105-110° for babies. Temps go down a little bit as they become adults. For the mealworms, the biggest issue is they have too much chiton in their exo-skeleton and its more difficult for bearded dragons to digest and they can become impacted. Dubia roaches and bfsl are great staples. The bsfl comes in different names aka phoenix worms, nutri_grubs, or calci-grubs are all the same as bsfl (black soldier fly larva) they are loaded with calcium and dont need to be dusted. There are alot of other really good options, but meal worms are horrible, and crickets are pretty sub par. Not to mention they die so easy and are hard to catch. You cant put crickets in a bowl and hope they dont jump out before your dragon eats them all. Lol! I also feed mine superworms now that they are older. They look just like meal worms but bigger and they have less chitin for some reason. Good luck with your new dragon!! They are amazing pets!!! ❤❤
Yea in a lot of household situations you shouldn't need heat at night, in the wild night time temps dip really low. A lot lower than the average house. A Cooling period at night is very important for a bearded dragon. Install night heating if you look live in a cold climate and your house gets cold at night. If you must install night heating, it's important to set the thermostat really low around 68f. But they need a night time cooling period. Night time heatings purpose is not to 'heat' as such, but to prevent 'over' cooling. During the day the term 'cool' end does not apply to what is deemed cool at night. Just set night heating around 65/68f.

It came out so good! 🥰 And I cannot even tell you how happy I was when you said you purchased the correct UV light. The mini fridge idea was wonderful! I would advise against mealworms though, as they contain a lot of chitin (the hard exoskeleton). Chitin can be really hard for babies beardies to digest properly.
Double check the uvb bulb is also a t8 and remember the t8 is mounted inside the tank. Also, dragons dont absorb heat from underneath so heat pads and heat rocks are pointless and can risk burns.
if the basking temp isn’t getting hot enough get a 125/150 watt basking bulb instead, i had to get a 150 for my 55 gallon to get it up to 102/104 degrees. and for future reference zen habitats are a good enclosure for adults, not custom but a good size and about as cheap as you’ll get for that size and quality
Please be careful feeding your beardie mealworms as they aren't very nutritional for them but they can also cause blockages. They are okay in small amounts occasionally but not for a balanced diet. You are better with morio worms but again not in excess. Also, the 'can o' crickets' absolutely stinks when you open it. I can withstand a lot but its one of the worst smelling things I've experienced haha. Regarding your UVB lights, for now, I would just use the long tube, the spiral isn't too useful in the long vivarium so may just keep it as a spare in case the build ever blows in the long one. In future, I would advise getting a UVB tube that is the whole length of the vivarium so he is always getting uvb despite likely basking most of the day.

I think if i get one il buy an enclosure that has a sliding front opening door too. Since they really hate just being picked up from the top of the enclosure apparently. Since thats very similar to how a bird of prey would descend with clawed talons and grab them its scary for them.
You CAN use play sand as substrate. The live in the dessert and asking as you can be near them and have the option to hand feed them is should cause no issues. But if you can’t do that I would not use it
I have a beardie, I will say you will eventually want to switch out the enclosure. This is the standard size. For them, but you’ll want to size up once they are fully grown. My baby is still a on the tiny side. So she’s fine. But I had watched a friends before and his enclosure was huge. They’re definitely happy when there’s more space.
I helped a friend take care of her beardie for a while we had a small bowl maybe 1/3 of the size of the tall one you had because the beardie didn't really mess with the bowl. We would give him the worm one at a time with chopsticks to make sure they don't escape and hide in the enclosure. We also had a blanket in the enclosure so at night he would lay on it and he would cover himself up! We also had a ladder sorta thing that went across the two sides so he could lay between the two sides. Also get some blue hornworms! We would give him 2-3 every few days and he would go crazy for them. We would put him in the bathroom on the tile to walk around for about an hour a day if we had the time. Good luck!

As someone who lives in the same state it is very easy to keep the humidity down and still have water!Just make sure it’s not to full and you will be fine!
I would 100% recommend getting a thermometer your lights plug into so that if it gets too hot it turns off. Also it takes about an hour or so for the lights to reach the temp they’re gonna get
Hey Alyssa, bearded dragons getting impacted by sand is a common misconception in the reptile community. Bearded dragons live primarily on sand in the wild in Australia. As long as your heat is at the right temperature your bearded dragon will be able to pass through any sand that is accidentally eaten. I have been keeping and breeding bearded dragons for 10 years now and have always housed them on sand. I hope this helps! :)
Stacey Drummond in Australia bearded dragons do not primarily live on sand. I have been to the outback and have seen them in person. The terrain is made up of all different kids of substrate. For example there is primarily rocks, but also some and I mean some sand and mulch substrate. Please do not use sand in the enclosure unless you are providing an extremely large enclosure where the bearded dragon is fully able to get off of the sand. An enclosure this size and sand is not a good combination.
You can use play sand and coco fiber. As long as the substrate doesn’t ball up when you squeeze it it’s perfectly fine. I use sand for my leopard gecko and he’s as healthy and fine as ever.
I’d recommend shelf liner instead of that mat :) the mat can become hard to clean due to the surface. Shelf liner is super easy to clean, cheap, and looks better in my opinion!
I got the same one today but in 20 gallon, it was 160 while the 40 was 200. The breeder I pick up my baby for said the 20 is good for babies to develop while catching food easier but that the sand is bad. I’ve never owned a reptile but I’m so excited to pick my baby up in 3 weeks!
congrats on your beardie!! make sure you cover 3 sides of the tank (back and the 2 sides) to reduce anxiety and glass surfing. I have my tank just covered with brown paper right now, but i usually use wrapping paper to make it a little festive :P also, make sure you alternate between calcium with d3 and without. cant wait to see your little dragon!
Zoo med make and environmental control center that works way better than the zilla switch. It comes with the probes for both the hot and cold side. As well as the humidity and adjusts everything automatically based off your settings. If you want the perfect set up with no fuss.
You should totally film some pet related videos! There’s a huge community on UA-cam. Maybe like a day in the life with all my pets, or an introducing all your pets! It’d be super cool!
Here's a tip for starter beardy owners, you do WANT to put water in the cage because it does get very warm in the cage but the cannot stand all day in the heat they will get dehydrated the water is just to help the lizzard cool off when it gets dehidrated
For the issue with your daylight plugs id those cheap little 3 outlet extention cords from walmart. Plug that in 1 of those daylight plugs. Theyre like 6ft long but theyre only like $4 i think
I have the same Day/Night timer power strip... as for needing more than two "Daytime" sockets... easy solution... plug a different power strip into one of the day sockets and plug as many day lights as you need into the second power strip... since it's plugged into the day socket, the entire power strip will get shut off when the day socket powers off.
1:56 you should put it on the hot side so then the lizard can cool off on both sides but if it gets too hot on the hot side and he/she doesnt want to get too cold on the cold side so it can be for a shade recource
i have one of those hammocks, and they’re great, but the suction cups tend to quit sticking after a while. but i have also had it for a few months. and she loves it!!
Hey I loved the vid! For a water bowl, I know you said that you would rather not put one in but I would suggest using one. I had bought the exact same enclosure last year for the same deal lol, and I used the flatter, big bowl for a water dish until my beardie was old enough to use the larger one. The flat dish worked wonders and I found that she often laid in it for baths or bowel movements lol. Although it’s more cleaning work, I would definitely suggest having one!
so cool!! I cant wait for you to be a new beardie mom! if you are interested in a uvb suggestion i'm not sure how to help with the need for plug, but you could maybe overlap the uvb bulb and the double. like have the strip uvb more centered above the tank so the rays go evenly (for the most part, probs not the strongest rays at the ends) & he gets the uvb no matter where he is, esp if he's basking. maybe that could work temporarily?? i wish you luck!! looking forward to meeting him on your channel! also just sharing from experience, those sand carpets are great until they get super soiled. just becomes a hassle to clean and for me when i cleaned it the first time some of the rocks fall off in the sink so i would suggest to wash it outside, but there will be a day when you will just have to toss it in effort to keep sanitation. not the most sustainable thing in the world but the grip on those sand mats is better than most store bought tiles (before roughing the surface up), and especially with a growing guy where ligaments, joints, and bones arent set yet having a good non slick surface does wonders for the growing bodies. It ensures he matures into a properly functioning structure. the little man is a living WIP until hes adult sized. Hope this 411 helps, not trying to sound rude just share some of what i am aware of and have seen irl. good luck and again congrats on the new fam member!!
You are literally the embodiment of me I first watched you because of witchcraft than noticed a tank in the background that looked like a crested gecko tank ( I own a few cresties) and now you are getting a bearded dragon ! So exited hope you love the little one as much as I love my two. They have so much personality ❤️🥰
I like that setup. To me it looks exactly what a baby or juvenile bearded dragon needs. I recomend to get one of them infrared temp guns to read the basking spot temperature and the other areas. It should be between 110 degrees to 120 degrees. You can probably raise a dragon up t0 10" before upgrade time. You have the right mindset for the beardie's house. In reality it's actually an easy animal to grow. Just need a heat and UVB light bulb and live insects. If you have Ebay I find good deals on there. Like dubia roaches even cheaper than crickets at the pet store and they are very hardy. Crickets die out too much. The UVB light does its job for 5 months and the heat light usually lasts 3 to 6 weeks. Do the math, it's actually less financially to grow a dragon than raising cats and dogs. Really, you don't need to feed a bearded dragon a huge amount either or they will get obese. I slightly underfeed my beardies, though just enough to make them happy and healthy. Good luck on the new pet.❤🦎
@@ashleypogson1063 you keep saying this but there is scientific evidence by herp vets that say different. They may be ok as a treat every once in a while but they are high in fat and chitin. Chitin is their exoskeleton and the chitin is hard to digest especially if temps are not on point 100% of the time. Or if they don't bask long enough they can have a hard time digesting them and become impacted.
@@ashleypogson1063 you can’t just go call someone a bitch because you think you know more than them. I guarantee you just work at some petco and have ZERO experience working with reptiles.
All it takes is a little bit of basic research to find out that they can’t digest the exoskeleton of a meal worm but some people don’t what to do enough research
Your set up looks great! My favorite thing to put worms in is actually a ceramic hamster dish. It keeps them nice and contained and I think they're cute, also.
A 100 gallon tank isn’t big enough. The bare minimum is a 4x2x2’ (120 gallons), and bigger is strongly recommended. Many believe the minimum should be 5x2x3’. Ceramic heat lamps are no good for daytime heating, they only produce infrared C. A halogen flood bulb should be used during the day, they produce infrared A and infrared B like the sun, allowing for deep tissue heating.
Instead of mealworms you should look into superworms, Dubai roaches, and hornworms. Also with the calcium most of the time you should only dust the food without d3 and like 3 times a month with vitamins and with d3. Correct me if I’m wrong just trying to help out with some of the things I’ve heard 😬
If you ever need a custom tank my friend owns a plexi glass company. Better than glass and you can make it anyway you want. They have 3 bearded dragons so he knows what to make.
I'm getting a bearded dragon in 2 weeks cause I'm getting a baby from a breeder and they just hatched and stuff but I would probably put mealworms in the soil (I'm getting a biodude bioactive bearded dragon kit plus more stuff) so the dragon can get enrichment from burrowing and looking for the meal worms as a little sometimes snack. But I wouldn't use mealworms as actual everyday food
So excited for you ! And can’t wait to see your beardie! And yes please do a video about breeding mealworms if you can! I would love some advice! I have a gecko and would love to start breeding mealworms for her:)
But I would suggest getting a tank with front open doors whenever you move to a bigger one, I’ve had beardies my whole life and they seem to do better when you reach in from the front rather than above where they can’t see you as well lol
Hey, Alyssa. That Zilla UVB strip fixture, I always take out the clear plastic shield because it blocks out the UVB 😊 amazing job getting everything ready for your new baby 🥰 you're literally a dream pet parent to deal with
I would also try incorporating squash in their diet as that's a good staple food for them. Tbh I would return the 100w bulb and go for a 125 or 150 and I'd exchange the coiled uvb for a ceramic heat emitter for night time. I'd also recommend a thermostat if you get the ceramic heat emitter ❤
i know this is two years old but for anyone else watching i was told you can put uncooked rice in a thin sock and put it in the enclosure and itll pull humidity down
I am not a in experienced keeper as I have owned over 10 beardies and have been breading leopard geckos for the last 1 and a half years with a lot off success
The sand mat is the only one I didnt like. In my experience it was not easy to clean and the little rocks break down and fall off the mat over time. As for your mealworm farm...Cut a few potatoes in halves or quarts and mix them in with your oats for moisture.
Calcium with D3 and if you have a UVB light he can classify the organs with both of those so I would recommend using the UVB light and not using the calcium with D3 unless you want to be taking your bearded dragon to the vet every day and risking your bearded dragon being killed
Meal worms are so cool! Funny thing, I keep a dubia roach colony and I put a couple of the beetles in there and I don't know what it was but, the meal worms they laid grew so crazy fast eating the left overs and waste from the dubias
I know this video is old but if you wanted to you could meal prep for your dragon and then store your weeks worth of vegetables in the mini fridge in tuba-wear
If u go to mr Drew’s, u can buy a donation tank for whatever amount of money do you want to buy for, we got a 40 gallon breeder tank and it was only 30 bucks instead of more than 200 at Petco
I have been in the waiting of a beardie for a while now. I have snakes and leopard gekkos and cockatiels and had those species from 7 years old. I'm almost 30 now and never still owned a beardie 😅 now would finally be the time.
You are amazing! This is amazing! Thank you for sharing. Literally just picked up my exp terra enclosure 40G. I didn’t get all the accessories yet ,since I don’t have a dragon yet. Very pumped about it tho. For the the Zoo Med Temp controller /Digital thermostat. Anyways pumped. Have a wonderful day. 😊
I love your cage. I recently got the same cage. For some reason, my cage is longer/bigger than yours, but it is from the same brand and it is the 40 gallon. I think they might have mislabeled mine or something
msp moviestar yes! crickets should be fed as a small snack or a side for their lunch breakfast and dinner, which should actually be fruits and veggies. you also need to add calcium powder on everything. please know what you’re doing can kill your bearded dragon.
msp moviestar Try giving your bearded dragon more of a variety. I give mine dubia roaches, crickets, super worms and mealworms. Mealworms should be fed every once in awhile. Variety in their diet is key. Do not strictly feed crickets. Give a variety for a healthy dragon.
I don’t know it’s it’s too late but I wouldn’t keep mealworms at all superworms are better, meal worms have hard shells on them and can kill bearded dragons from impaction if fed to much.
I’m not trying to be rude or anything but I’m genuinely curious does it not disturb you or make you feel iffy about getting another animal so soon after you lost your pet hamster?
Emily Thomas maybe because some people cope in different ways with death and she likes having animals to help void out her sadness. It’s her decision and she really doesn’t have to justify it to anyone
Mealworms aren't good for bearded dragons! I recommend wax worms, superworms, or black fly larva! And with the UVB lights you need a T5 tube for a dome that goes on top of your tank and a T8 tube if you want to mount the tube inside of your enclosure and you want your UVB bulb to be over the basking spot as well😋 its a learning process but so worth it for their cuteness💕

make sure to feed him closer to the mornings so he can bask after he eats! Heat is really important for their digestion
Not essential but could be a but beneficial.
You can also add a ceramic heat emitter (che) bulb for night time if your house gets under 65. It doesnt produce light so its great for night
This is so wrong in so many ways. Please don’t listen to stacey.
@@Mo_money8 how so?
Stacey Drummond in Australia bearded dragons do not primarily live on sand. I have been to the outback and have seen them in person. The terrain is made up of all different kids of substrate. For example there is primarily rocks, but also some and I mean some sand and mulch substrate. Please do not use sand in the enclosure unless you are providing an extremely large enclosure where the bearded dragon is fully able to get off of the sand. An enclosure this size and sand is not a good combination.
Say it louder for the people in the back! They looove to dig
You can use play sand and coco fiber. As long as the substrate doesn’t ball up when you squeeze it it’s perfectly fine. I use sand for my leopard gecko and he’s as healthy and fine as ever.
I may be a little late but you can put an extension cord in the daylight plug to increase the amount of stuff you can plug in
I’d recommend shelf liner instead of that mat :) the mat can become hard to clean due to the surface. Shelf liner is super easy to clean, cheap, and looks better in my opinion!
Don’t forget the multivitamin! They need that too to be big and strong :). Also, please feed crickets and dubia roaches!
That’s what the herptivite is. It’s a multivitamin.
@@ashleypogson1063 she is as well 🙃
Not too much mostly calcium
She showed it with the calcium 😅
I got the same one today but in 20 gallon, it was 160 while the 40 was 200.
The breeder I pick up my baby for said the 20 is good for babies to develop while catching food easier but that the sand is bad. I’ve never owned a reptile but I’m so excited to pick my baby up in 3 weeks!
is no one going to talk about the cat under the door in the intro lol
Always sanitize what you buy, before putting it in the enclosure
But not with chemicals
Ethan Moreng ???
Ethan Moreng YES!👍🏼👏🏼
Ethan Moreng ?? Everything is chemicals 🥴
Dilaisy Rodriguez not everything lol
The cats arms under the door in the beginning though 😂 lol I love it
congrats on your beardie!! make sure you cover 3 sides of the tank (back and the 2 sides) to reduce anxiety and glass surfing. I have my tank just covered with brown paper right now, but i usually use wrapping paper to make it a little festive :P also, make sure you alternate between calcium with d3 and without. cant wait to see your little dragon!
Don’t need too but not too much vitamins a moderate amount should be good. Always dust the leafy greens.
Fyi: if you take your beardie outside everyday then he/she doesn’t need too big of a an enclosure, it won’t kill them. But big is always good
Zoo med make and environmental control center that works way better than the zilla switch.
I was watching this cus I might get a lizard and the second I saw the Bts albums I got so happy. I was like “we’re the same person”
I recommend a log of some sort near the heat bc beardies love climbing and basking on logs on the wild 😗✌️
Use a multi socket extension into one of the day sockets to give you more sockets.
Its better to switch between with and without d3 so they dont get to much and once a week they need a multivitamin
I see that Harry Styles Album back there
Bearded dragon info + a Harry Styles stan
I respect you a lot
I think the flat bowl you should keep in bc it wold be easier for the beardie to eat out of
Hope this 411 helps, not trying to sound rude just share some of what i am aware of and have seen irl. good luck and again congrats on the new fam member!!
omg i didnt see the date of this!! so sorry!! probably no longer needed but maybe it helps still
this is now my 4th time watching this video. i love your channel so much and i’m finally getting a bearded dragon next month🤗
Also make sure the shelf liner has no adhesive cause the adhesive ones can release toxic fumes
You should use the basking hive on the warm side, I pet sit a bearded dragon and he love basking in the warmth
Good luck on the new pet.❤🦎
you can put beardies on play sand because the inside of a bearded dragon isnt wet enough for the sand get the beardie impacted
Plain sand isn’t the best substrate on its own. It’s dusty, hard on their joints, and doesn’t hold burrows. A soil/playsand/clay mix is best.
❤️❤️❤️ This is probably one of my favorite videos in quarantine!!
Meal worms are not good for bearded dragons you should be feeding super worms not meal worms
Super worms aren’t that good either, they are very fatty and not as good as dubia roaches
@@ashleypogson1063 what kind of vet are you (you are not acting very professional)
I would recommend getting an 100 gallon tank and using a ceramic heat lamp!
A halogen flood bulb should be used during the day, they produce infrared A and infrared B like the sun, allowing for deep tissue heating.
i've been watching your channel for ages and when i saw the k-pop shelf and the army bomb i started smiling so hard.
SAME
Instead of mealworms you should look into superworms, Dubai roaches, and hornworms. Also with the calcium most of the time you should only dust the food without d3 and like 3 times a month with vitamins and with d3. Correct me if I’m wrong just trying to help out with some of the things I’ve heard 😬
Because they have UVB they get D3 so they can actually OD on D3. It's better to have calcium w/o D3 for the most part.
I’ve been researching reptiles for 6 years. And your right but you should maybe do vitamins 3-4 time a month but your correct too much can be bad.
If you ever need a custom tank my friend owns a plexi glass company. Better than glass and you can make it anyway you want. They have 3 bearded dragons so he knows what to make.
Alyssa Nicole message me on Instagram and I will give you his information. He does a lot of things from aircraft to fish tanks. @Boozibear33
THAT CAT PAW GOT ME 😂 I even showed my mom and she laughed
And you need to put the uvb next to the heat bulb so he gets the benefits of heat and uv
Instead of using reptisun in the second compartment of the screw in fixture, put a heat emitter so he could have heat at night time.
He/she will grow out of that cage really fast zen habitats also has some good cages
Omg your little kitty’s paw under the door at the beginning! 😍
totally distracted by the cat wanting in the room XD
Miss Waffies same as any fridge cause in the guidance booklet it suggests I don’t put fridge or freezer by a heat source that’s in the UK anyways
I don't think people in the United States have that problem. At least I have never heard of it
awww i got my beardie a couple of month ago im so excited for you they are such amazing lizards!!!
this is kind of late and you probably already know this but its best to keep a full grown bearded dragon in 100 gallon tank around 4x2x2 feet
So excited for you ! And can’t wait to see your beardie! And yes please do a video about breeding mealworms if you can! I would love some advice! I have a gecko and would love to start breeding mealworms for her:)
I know that bearded dragons like to dig so i would recommend using real sand
A deep layer of a soil/sand/clay mix is ideal. Calcium sand should be avoided.
Ngl I got VERY nervous at the beginning when I saw that reptisand lol rlly glad you said you plan on switching to tile
But I would suggest getting a tank with front open doors whenever you move to a bigger one, I’ve had beardies my whole life and they seem to do better when you reach in from the front rather than above where they can’t see you as well lol
@@ratfreak8990 yeah the tank with the roof opening thing, it sucks lol because you movee it and the lights fall down
@@ratfreak8990 wait you had beardies your WHOLE life ah
Use the shelf liner. From what I've seen that sand mat is crap and can break off and cause impaction.
The sand mat is the only one I didnt like. In my experience it was not easy to clean and the little rocks break down and fall off the mat over time. As for your mealworm farm...Cut a few potatoes in halves or quarts and mix them in with your oats for moisture.
You could put an extension cord charger and then plus your stuff into that
Calcium with D3 and if you have a UVB light he can classify the organs with both of those so I would recommend using the UVB light and not using the calcium with D3 unless you want to be taking your bearded dragon to the vet every day and risking your bearded dragon being killed
Meal worms are so cool! Funny thing, I keep a dubia roach colony and I put a couple of the beetles in there and I don't know what it was but, the meal worms they laid grew so crazy fast eating the left overs and waste from the dubias
ok but the mini fridge is such a good idea!
Wouldn't it make more sense to put the fridge on the colder side so you're not cooling down the glass?
I know this video is old but if you wanted to you could meal prep for your dragon and then store your weeks worth of vegetables in the mini fridge in tuba-wear
Omg the cat at the beginning has me dead
I love your shirt, hair and gauges! I have gauges, absolutely love Zelda, and have pink hair too 😂💗
If u go to mr Drew’s, u can buy a donation tank for whatever amount of money do you want to buy for, we got a 40 gallon breeder tank and it was only 30 bucks instead of more than 200 at Petco
Keep in mind that 40 gallons is too small for an adult bearded dragon. They need a 4x2x2’ enclosure bare minimum, and bigger is strongly recommended.
Pets art and petco should make it where you can get a tank and add whatever materials and stuff you want with your animal for reptiles
You can use a regular human light fixture. That’s what I use
I am getting a bearded dragon soon but I’m afraid of bugs so I’ll weed it worms but I’m terrified of roaches and kind of afraid of crickets
I love your cage. I recently got the same cage. For some reason, my cage is longer/bigger than yours, but it is from the same brand and it is the 40 gallon. I think they might have mislabeled mine or something
Please do not use mealworms!! Mealworms should be fed occasionally they’re not staple! Dubia roaches and super worms are better choices.
Is it bad that we only fead our bearded beacon crickets?
msp moviestar yes! crickets should be fed as a small snack or a side for their lunch breakfast and dinner, which should actually be fruits and veggies. you also need to add calcium powder on everything. please know what you’re doing can kill your bearded dragon.
msp moviestar Try giving your bearded dragon more of a variety. I give mine dubia roaches, crickets, super worms and mealworms. Mealworms should be fed every once in awhile. Variety in their diet is key. Do not strictly feed crickets. Give a variety for a healthy dragon.
Super worms are even worse
I recommend silk worms over superworms, I get mine from Josh's frogs (I think that's the website)
Omg the cat in the back trying to get under her door is so cute
Who else thought the perfect fit on that desk was so satisfying?
I don’t know it’s it’s too late but I wouldn’t keep mealworms at all superworms are better, meal worms have hard shells on them and can kill bearded dragons from impaction if fed to much.
I’m not trying to be rude or anything but I’m genuinely curious does it not disturb you or make you feel iffy about getting another animal so soon after you lost your pet hamster?
Emily Thomas maybe because some people cope in different ways with death and she likes having animals to help void out her sadness. It’s her decision and she really doesn’t have to justify it to anyone
Tori Jones cool
I was curious too. Just right after another seems too much
Emily Thomas haru passed away!?
@@elizawajid1336 yep
Mealworms aren't good for bearded dragons! I recommend wax worms, superworms, or black fly larva! And with the UVB lights you need a T5 tube for a dome that goes on top of your tank and a T8 tube if you want to mount the tube inside of your enclosure and you want your UVB bulb to be over the basking spot as well😋 its a learning process but so worth it for their cuteness💕
@@ashleypogson1063 meal worms are known for causing impaction says my vet my breeder and every other bearded dragon owner I know! Its a recent discovery so a lot of people will say that they are okay because its been used in the past by a lot of people
Use an extension cord to connect more day light cord in one
Mind helping me out? I put a background for my beardie and he still attacks his reflection
I know this is super old. But did you put it inside on the glass rather than outside?
@@Tubylubrx I put it on the outside back then don’t worry though (I learned my bearded dragon was a she so) she doesn’t attack the glass now that she’s matured
