it would be interesting to compare how the bigger wheels and wider offset tyres effects your wheel bearing longevity

Yes well we know that with the last 2 79s, the grey one the bearings collapsed on me at 40thousand so I pay them a visit now every 20 and sort them out, with a lot of wear even at 20.. Funnily enough nowadays the workshop warranty book says inspect and degrease at 20k intervals

could you do a video on all the cars you've owned and what you thought of them? seems like you've had most of the toyotas I want haha

Hahaha, that would be a challenge, have footage over 5 computers but unfortunately the quality of old files wouldn't cut it on the current format

That ARB's on the Princes Hwy in Tempe, Sydney, got a Repco across from it, I must've seen you around.
I used to run airbags in my crewman, which obviousl wasn't lifted, in my opinion you need more suspension travel than stock if you're going to carry heavy loads with bags, it just maxes out the shocks and runs like a pogo stick on the bags. -
But I always thought you had to run at least 10psi or more or the bags could stuff up.

Yes correct especially the in coil bags, these dominators you can run lower but good idea to run some air, yes I believe that same theory re suspension, all my life my belief was to always run a shock length with same or as close to, same amount of droop to up travel, I will have a video on it coming soon when I finally get around to taking it off-road.. Yes that the ARB, the one in Tempe/St Peters

Morning Denny, off topic, i noticed Modz Kings have big specials and free freight to Tassie. Thing of putting Fuel Vector rims like yours same offset +7 on my Fortuner. Is the benefits worth the coin? Any negatives? Was going to go up to 265/65/17

Was all positive on the Tuna re the rims, and I visited Modz Kings the other month to look at a set of rims. The owner seemed cool, and a pretty well run business from what I saw..

Hi Denny, quick question mate. I’m fitting -12 offset rims on the front and back on a 2024 facelift model also track corrected with the tru tracker system and I have a heavy duty steel Toyota tray. Will my rear tyres hit the rope rails on full flex?.. 33’s 2inch lift. I want to keep my rope rails and don’t want to have to fit steel mudguards and take one of the rope rails off. I’d be happy to bring the plastic guards out like you did, just worried the -12’s will foul on the rope rail. Thanks in advance 👍

After the lift what did you do about castor?

    • @TeamBulletOffroad
      @TeamBulletOffroad  3 місяці тому +1

Have done nothing yet, it only went up 40mm so now waiting to see how much sag I get adding the Bullbar as I think ill need a heavier front coil once that's fitted..

I fitted the same coil I think
50 to 100 kg tapered wire to a new single cab v8 with Arb bar1200 lb winch and side rails
Guard to bottom of 16 inch rim is 800 mm
Lost 2 degrees of castor taking it down to 1.5 positive
Fitted pedders rubber caster bushings for instead of plastic for a change
Steers well .we will see how long the last
