Going to see HR perform tomorrow night at the New Brookland Tavern in Columbia SC along with Billy Batts and the Made Men and Harry & The Hootenannies.
I will always regret not seeing them on the Quickness tour; by the time they reached me they had moved on to Chuck Moseley. Check out the 'Bad Brains "Secret 77' " 1989 Manchester' clip - despite the recording equipment of the time you can tell that H.R was at his pinnacle. That would have been some gig.
+126C2 You are a fortunate fellow 126C2 the Droid! :OD Yes, I saw them with Chuck Moseley (it took me most of the first song to work out what it was :OD) and Israel Joseph I (a good frontman but forever in the shadow of H.R.) but never the man himself. Now, where are my time machine blueprints?
+Leb Heidenstrøm You have to be careful to choose the right concert, I saw them perform with HR once in Amsterdam and I think only the band was there. HR was in his own place, far away... And he was boo-ed by 2000 people and deserved it. (although I don't think he even knew what was happening, he was that far out) ;-)
+126C2 I'm not sure if I would go and see them these days to be honest. I have seen a few clips of recent shows and H.R is TOO free with what he's performing these days for me. ;o) No criticism of the man, just our wavelengths aren't the same any more.
Check out HR's solo stuff. rest stop 1992 and I lUV 1992 he was still going strong in the early 90's he kinda went down in mid 90's but routinely going back up in certain shows. The 1998 show is pretty good.
Hard Core, Reggae, Dance Hall, Speed Metal.. with Funky bass lines, Bad brains has it all... GREAT!
What a band...
Almighty king of kings, if you can read this, these are my prayings.. No more divisions.. Amen
Very rare footage of Bad Brains in 1989. They hardly toured, but were still a force on stage.
Happy 60th HR!!
timeless classic reggae dub at its best by the best of the best. Bad Brains.
Trop Bon!!

Que maravilla de tema, las notas son tan melancolicas mezcladas con la letra y los cambios. HR siempre

+Leb Heidenstrøm You are so right. I saw them several times, but the Quickness Tour was by far the best!
