I could tell right away from the first time I watched one of your videos that you were a very good teacher, but the RPG game example during Habit #3 about how the little experience boosts from the small battles add up to be greater than the big experience boosts from boss fights solidified it. You have, in my opinion, the most insightful photography content on UA-cam. Thanks for all the free help man, wish you the best.

Wow, what an idea about emotional impact on my photography... It describes so easily why some very loved by me personally shot doesn't receive attention from audience and other "just good photos" (for me) receive so many appreciation 😅

Great video, nothing but simplicity… our modern world is lacking this. ✨

Love the focus, I'm like a squirrel, everything looks worthy, very spontaneous so this is very helpful

Yes, often times I will take a photo that I really want to like due to the associations I have with taking the photo and will make it through my first few cuts purely out of the bias I have for it, but ultimately decide the photo, objectively, is not that good: no clear subject, out of focus, overexposed, etc.

My man, I have not been around for long but I enjoy your insights for the intermediate level. I really liked your videos about 24mm and 85mm two focal lengths I used to hate, now make sense and I enjoy them more.
Thanks for putting the time in to make considerate content. 🙏

Thanks Pat for the insightful video. I was getting restless for the past 2 days and the output was less than desirable. These tips will act as reminders to me and reinforce my beliefs as a creative. Thanks again and hope to see more great videos from you.

I've been watching this series and it has informed my photography sooo much. However, this particular video has had a tremendous impact. These simple habits and the ideas, concepts and reasons behind them have been so helpful. I hope that after some more time and practice that I will eventually develop a style and have my photography improve to a point that I will consider myself to be more than just an amateur. Thank you so much for the videos and the information!!

What would you say is a good camera that can be versatile with the style of photo like a camera that can be used for nature, city, and portrait photos

I’d like to subscribe to your newsletter but I can’t find it. Question on habit 4: do you ever not like a picture at first but grow to like it with emotional distance?

  • @DavidRamgobin

The second habit of using your minds eye to visualize compostition is so discouraging for me as someone with aphantasia. I'm so envious of people that can see vividly within their mind :( I hope I can overcome it.
