This is awesome! In these days of sky-high rising supermarket prices, the only other thing I needed to drive me to the sanitarium are animatronics screaming about Stew Leonard's
We have them here on Long Island. One location in Farmingdale the other in East Meadow. Been to both locations I work as one of the vendors that service various grocery stores and big box retailers. Been to both locations. Layout and concept is cool and unique for sure.
The Hot Air Ballon guy was an animatronic but I’m guessing he just wasn’t working when you were there. Unfortunately due to Stew Leonard’s stop carrying Boar’s Head he was removed. They are going to open a Stew Leonard’s in Clifton NJ in 2024 so I wonder if he will be sent there.
Thanks for sharing. Haven't been to the Paramus location but have been to the original Norwalk CT location many times when I was a kid in the 80's and 90's then to Danbury CT when it first opened in 91 and a few other times. Also went to Yonkers NY a few times when it opened and more recently to the 2 Long Island locations. They always have great fresh items but can be a little pricey. The shows are cute and are at all the locations although seems like the Paramus one has a few additional newer ones. I like that the Chiquita banana uses the song from their original commercials and most use the same technology like Disney. A couple of them even are very similar to original Disney up to the 90's which I feel was the best time.
Here in the Netherlands we also have a supermarket who has animatronics but they're animals like monkies, cows and pigs for example I have some clips aswell
I wonder if some of the animatronics are recycled from the Showbiz Pizza days. The two close to the end of your tour could definitely have been Showbiz or even CEC characters.
Now that you mention it, I don't really know where they get their animatronics. They have several locations in the NJ/NY/CT area, this one opened up around '17-'18. The animatronics look nice and new but I can't say for sure
I work as one of the vendors that services various supermarkets and big box stores and my stuff happens to be by the avocado girls and even hearing it for 2 minutes is torture enough.
The Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers had a replica of the man in the hot air balloon, but it got removed a few years back (I think it broke or smth I’m not really sure). He wasn’t in a hot air balloon, he sat on a chair on an elevated platform. I’m wondering if that’s the same animatronic, just relocated because it doesn’t function anymore
You may be right about that. I recall seeing a video of the Paramus balloon guy singing, but there's no way to activate it. It's likely a problematic animatronic.
@@RayOutThere When they first opened that animatronic was working, not sure if it has broken since then, but there IS a button to start it (located on the right hand side, a bit hard to find).
I think its just a wonderful place to go and c the tonics taste all the samples and buy some real good food have you also been to the Yonkers store its a bit older but just as nice
Workers are like please don’t push that button
Clover:MOOOOOOOOOOOO
Well they probably have to listen to it all do so I can see why they’re annoyed.

I shop there sometimes and yes it has its moments BUT the baked goods and prepared foods are off the charts good.
Their pizza and donuts are amazing. I was sad when Fairway closed but Stew filled that void.
Why does the parrot sound like Jim Gaffigan? LOL.

I would love to check out more locations
My toddler loves visiting Stew Leonard’s and loved this video!
Thank you, I'm glad
I walk through the one in Yonkers tripping sometimes
Stew Leonard’s is set up in a very special way. Interesting.
Imagine going food shopping off acid not realizing what’s there

I'm looking forward to a new one!

they are not cec or creative engineering, they are vp productions animatronics, originally the same characters were both made by sally dark rides.
Like the show. Would stop by next time Im up that way. Ill buy something too.
Cant wait to go to this place one day... its about an hour from my house and I gotta make it up there!
Fun place! And the food is quality too.
Is this place just in N.J.?
@@turdeyeblind They only have 7 locations, this is the only one in NJ, the others are in Connecticut (where they originated) and New York.
What a great video
Glad you enjoyed it
That is so cool
Nice Video! It'd be interesting to see how the rest of the mall is doing. I do know a pretty large number of stores have closed the past year sadly.
I have to make a vid for it sometime soon. It's struggling but it has some unique decor.
Idk what is going on bro😂😂😂
So cool

COLEY FOLEY SAYS: THE AVOCADOS & ROOSTER WITH HIS HENS WERE THE BEST ONES... HAHAHA!
I like that music 🎶 that the avacodo girls are singing
If I worked here and had to listen to the avocado song everyday I'd kill myself

❤
9:06 See ya
It’s fucking amazing if you need to bring your kids to the supermarket. Otherwise meh I could probably do without animatronics in the grocery store.
😂
