Rory realized Lucifer not being there for her childhood doesn't matter because they will spend eternity together.
Pre S6, I was SO AGAINST a DS baby. It sounded so cliche for them to be parent’s so soon, especially Lucifer. But the way Rory was introduced, from the future, her pain and anger and her purpose to bring Lucifer’s journey full circle, it was done so BEAUTIFULLY. I fell in love with her, with DS being a mum and dad and realising they have a daughter, a legacy of their love. ❤️❤️❤️

Lucifer always put himself first, and never cared about others' feelings and opinions or the consequences of that. But his time with Chloe taught Lucifer how to be selfless, and isn't that basically what parenthood is? Putting your child before yourself?
Lucifer saves Rory from succumbing to her own anger and hatred and prevents her from inheriting his devil face. He doesn't do it to prove a point about how great of a father he is. He does it for one and only one reason: to save Rory's soul. To save her from a torture he has already lived and endured for millennia.
In the same vein, Lucifer is asked what he truly desires twice. First, in season 3 where his answer is "I want [Chloe] to choose me." It's not because Chloe choosing Lucifer makes her happy, but because Chloe choosing Lucifer makes Lucifer happy.
The second time he's asked, he says "I want to see my daughter grow up. To be there for her when she needs me most. To be the father she deserves."
It's not because God once abandoned him and he's trying to make himself feel better. Lucifer wants that because that's what Rory has always wanted. And if he can give her that, he'll do it without a second thought.
And, last but certainly not least, the promise he made to Rory. Rory asks Lucifer to keep the loop going, to not change their future. To remain in hell until Chloe is old and dying and Rory's emotional state leads her to jump back in time.
If two months away from Chloe in hell was torture for Lucifer, I can't imagine what 50+ years away from her was, with the knowledge that he's not only missing time with her, but missing Rory growing up as well.
Yet, in all that time, he never breaks that promise. Even though it probably killed him every single minute of every single day, he kept his promise to the daughter he loves more than anything in the world.
That's the most selfless thing Lucifer Morningstar ever did. Period.

I just finished season 6. Now because of this edit, I am crying again. Beautiful beautiful edit. Lucifer's growth this season has been so extraordinary. I am so proud of the show
I liked so much the character of Rory i didn't expect that he was going to be the daughter of Lucifer that was a great plot twist, and i love the development between this two how he thought she wasn't his daughter and he ended loving her as his real Daughter
uh because he knows that IT IS his real daughter so that's why he loves her as much as his real daughter
edit: I mean he realises its his real daughter later on so that's why he didn't love her as much as the end of the series

I can’t get over how much this song fits their story. It’s the greatest love that creates the greatest tragedy in the end, even if, as we know, now the three of them have eternity together and will never separate again. When I think about Lucifer not being there for Aurora’s childhood, I won’t lie, it wrecks me, but then I think about what Ildy said, that he always kept an eye on her and Chloe, that he and Chloe managed to still see each other without Rory knowing, and i like to believe that even if he wasn’t there physically he never missed anything of his baby girl’s journey, up until he was finally reunited with her and her mum. And hey, who’s to say he wasn’t there when Rory was so little she wouldn’t be able to remember it?
Szkoda że nie było odcinka na ten temat . Wszystko zostało szybko okrojone. A my fani serialu zasługujemy na taki odcinek . Nadal szkoda mi Chloe ,która została na ziemi sama w ciąży . Należał nam się taki odcinek i możliwość kontaktu między nimi.
I doubt it I think he may of come down for her birth and then the rest of the time just watch threw the window on her birthday and Christmas. But I don't think him and chole met in person it would take away the sad goodbye we got before lucifer left and also how happy and shock he looked to see chole in hell .
There's this entire plethora of emotions, s6 was just a truckload of raw emotions, to bind everything perfectly...you almost get to see the parallel of Lucifer..be it him or God as his dad...we finally know his greatest desire his family, his daughter yet he gives it up because of his daughter..him being dad is probably the best thing...and also I can't go way without mentioning Chloe, what a rocksolid character, she is the actual bone...and those few years is just a blip, Lucifer, Chloe and Rory together in hell for eternity that's what I live for.

Rory probably looks younger than Trixie's children
Trixie is 14 years older than Rory, so her children would be around 30~35 years old
yeah sad thing is it looks more and more likely that Chloe might have outlived Trixie.
Oh man I just thought of that. She must feel lonely aging slower than everyone else. Having everyone grow older I suppose she still has Charlie and Maze. It would of been better if her dad did stay with her but I suppose there wouldn't be a story there.

This was a beautiful video. I love the fact that they made Lucifer a father. It was very sad how he couldn’t be there for her when she was growing up. I hope they make another seasion or even a new series based off his daughter and how Rory, trixie and Charlie had to grow up being half angle and, how trixie dealt with the fact that her sister and her friend were angles. I would love to see how trixie figured it out or how she was told that her younger sister was half angle. I would think cloe would tell her when she was born or when her sister popped wings out of her back lmao. Just a story I would like to hear.

Hello, I really love the season, super emotional but it comforts me to know that they ended up together in one way or another. And I wanted to suggest you a song that definitely gives me a lot of vibes from this season, it's called "Wait" by M83. It would be incredible one of your wonderful edits with that song since I think nobody has done any :)
And i think that "Before you Go" represents the interaction of Lucifer and Rory very well, and "Photograph" the relationship between Luci and Chloe ..... I think it would also be a work of art :)))

I hope there will be a sequel. Titled "Daughter of the Devil". Life of Rory growing up with with just Chloe Trixie and other characters included.
As a oldschool Doctor Who fan, this storyline was very predictable. As soon as I saw Rory's face then wings, i knew she was his daughter and from the future, especially when both Amenadiel and Lucifer didn't detect her before she appeared. It was done very well. Rory being the daughter of Lucifer works so much better for this version of Lucifer over the classic son of the devil.
i mean they still technically did the anti-Christ bringer of the end times type scenario just not in the way we thought they'd do it.

Sorry did not like Rory story or Rory though she had a couple of good moments. Actress was brilliant but nope horribly cruel thing to do to him after he sacrificed himself twice! Could have been a better ending.
All these self-actualization stuff is BS, clearly all it takes was Rory to tell Lucy what he was meant to do.
